• Can I assign a maven dependency to a specific repo?

  So I have several large projects that use up to 8 different external repos, all specified in settings.xml rather than in poms. A lot of our internal dependencies are snapshots, so this obviously causes a lot of checking for updates across several external repos, when they are all in our internal repo. So my question is, is there a way to setup a profile/filter or anything similar where I can ensure that an update will only be checked for in a specific repo(s)? This is all in the spirit of better/quicker builds. Thanks!

  Hi, I'm creating a button dynamically using JavaScript and at the same time assigning attributes such as 'ID', 'type' etc and also 'onclick' in order to trigger a function. All works fine apart from the assignment of the 'onclick'. When clicked, the button is not triggering the function as it is supposed to. the function I'm trying to run is 'navigate(-1)' as seen below. Where am I going wrong?   I just deployed to a cluster server, and my delayed_jobs recipe was overwritten in the process. I solved that, delayed_jobs is up and running but can't find the ID of images that are uploaded. Anyone know where I could poke and pry from here? UPDATE: I created a clone application on a single server. And there are no problems. The images on the cluster do show up (occassionally). If I keep clicking on the folders that lead to photos, it will 50% of the time return a 404 with it not being able to find the photo, and the other half it will present the photo. So the problem has got to be with the server interaction between the ActiveRecord through multiple servers.

  I'm using SQL Server 2008 FTS and I'd like to be able to integrate weighted rankings into my search results. However, I'd like to weight the columns that a search term is found in differently. For example, if I have a Title column and a Description column, I want matches fond in Title to rank higher than matches in Description. Is this possible in SQL Server 2008? As far as can I see, I can only add weights to specific terms, not column locations.

  I have a master-detail page, in which I use GridView to display multiple rows of data, and DetailsView + jQuery dialog to display the details of a single records. only one DetailsView is open at a time. I need to be able to pull out a single field of the open DetailsView, for manipulation using JavaScript. Is there a way to give a unique ID to a given field in DetailsView, so I can use getElementByID? Or is there another way to accomplish what I'm trying to do? Thank you in advance.

  I'm using ASP.NET, not the newest one with that clientIdMode stuff. So, the control ids are generated and funky. There are lots of ways of passing ids around, but lately I've been assigning a 'fake' css class to the control I'm interested in. Then in a js file I use jQuery to find the control. Is this bad practice? It seems a lot like the ajaxControlToolkit's behaviorId to me... Is the behaviorId bad practice as well?

  I have a huge shapefile of 36.000 non-overlapping polygones (city boundaries). I want to easily determine the polygone into which a given lat/long falls. What would the best way given that it must be extremely computationaly efficient ? I was thinking of creating a lookup table (tilex,tiley,polygone_id) where tilex and tiley are tile identifiers at zoom levels 21 or 22. Yes, the lack of precision of using tile numbers and a planar projection is acceptable in my application. I would rather not use postgres's GIS extension and am fine with a program that will run for 2 days to generate all the INSERT statements.

• Xcode puts Default.png in my plist as an Icon file when I assign a Launch Image

  When I set a Launch Image, Xcode creates a copy as Default.png and creates an entry in my plist in Icon Files (IOS 5) / Primary Icon / Icon Items -- Item 1 : Default.png Item 0 : MyIcon.png is the app icon which I have already placed through the Target. The reason this is a problem is that the launch image then takes precedence over the actual icon and as a result, it shows as the primary icon instead of my actual icon image. Why is Xcode doing this? Can I safely delete the Default.png entry from my .plist? (this seems to fix the problem) Do I need to copy Default.png somewhere else? Thanks!

  I'm a developer (and therefore a tester) of a website. Our site accepts any JavaScript or HTML from an user but I haven't been successful in explaining the danger of it, as obvious as it is. So I would like to prove it by logging in as my boss to prove to him that there is definitely a real danger here. I think this will put down any of his arguments and let us move onto filtering content like this. This is programming related because I am asking about tools which will help me debug my web program.
