    I have the following query SELECT * FROM attend RIGHT OUTER JOIN noattend ON attend.date = noattend.date2 WHERE attend.date BETWEEN '2010-02-01' AND '2010-04-01' AND attend.customerid =1 ORDER BY date DESC LIMIT 0 , 30 Attend is the table with customerid noattend is the table with a row for each date (date2) I followed the advice in other questions to right outer join it to create values where there is no record in attend but it still isn't filling in the empties any help much appreciated

  • MySQL : Calculate business day difference between two dates column

    My sql query returns back two columns, first column is "date created" and second column is "date updated", first column has a prior timestamp with respect to second column. I need to add a third column which can display business day hrs (9:00am to 5:00pm) response i.e. if date created is 2012-01-01 09:00:20 and "dated updated" is 4:00pm same day then third column should display 7 hrs If date created is 2012-01-01 16:00:20 (4:00pm) and "date updated" is 10:00m on 2012:01:02 (2nd Jan) then third column should display 2 hrs. It should exclude Saturday and Sunday. Can you please suggest appropriate SQL query for this.

    This is working fine, but I'm looking for any feedback on how to do it better. Right now I think it's better than nested loops, but it starts to get Perl-one-linerish when you have a generator in a list comprehension. Any suggestions are welcome. day_count = (end_date - start_date).days + 1 for single_date in [d for d in (start_date + timedelta(n) for n in range(day_count)) if d <= end_date]: print strftime("%Y-%m-%d", single_date.timetuple()) Notes: I'm not actually using this to print; that's just for demo purposes. The variables start_date and end_date are datetime.date objects, because I don't need the timestamps (they're going to be used to generate a report).     I'm replacing a website that was previously HTML only. I put a GridView on the French and the English page and I'm getting 2 fields: A date and a currency. For the date, I need to transform it into a long date format. The English part isn't very hard, but when I get to the French page, I can't transform it into a long date format with French words (i.e.:Mardi instead of Tuesday). Is there any way to format the string with French date words instead?

    Well I have this - Table DimDate- Date Table Employee- Id,Name,Points,Date Now the Employee table has points for everyday unless they did not come...so the Date does not have all the Dates entries... I mean for e.g in a week he did not come for 2 days the Employee table has only 5 rows...so I have this dimdate table which has all the dates till 2050 which I want to join with and add Zeros for the dates he does not have points. So I have written this query but does not work - Select E.EmployeeId,D.Date,isNull(E.Points,0) from DimDate D left join Employee E on D.Date between '01-01-2009'and '06-01-2009' where E.EmployeeId=1 The above query give multiple dates and I tried group by on Date but does not work.

Ok, now I know all new users from yesterday came from new york, for example. But what if I want to find out more information about those particular new vists from new york. Such as behaviors, technology, content. Is it possible to filter analytics to particular visits like you can filter to particular dates?

    After many conferences and travels, this summer I had some time to write and prepare new sessions for the next wave of conferences. In reality I am just doing that, even if I already restarted traveling for consulting and training. So expect new content about DAX and Tabular coming in the next months! Starting to see real customer adopting Tabular is showing many new challenges and there is still a lot to learn and to create. If you still didn’t started working on Tabular, well, you should. As I always say, as a BI developer you should be able to choose between Tabular and Multidimensional, and in order to do that you should know both of them! One thing that I don’t like very much about marketing is that “Tabular is simpler”, because it’s often translated in “Tabular is for simple projects” when this last statement is not true. Actually, I see a lot of good reasons to adopt Tabular in complex data models, especially in non-traditional scenarios. I know, this is because I love to understand what are the actual limits of a technology, and I’m learning that there is simple a lot of space of improvement also for Tabular. It’s already fast, but it could be faster! How can you start? Well, first of all, by reading our book. Then, by attending to our SSAS Tabular workshop. There is an online edition of the workshop on September 3-4, 2012 (hurry up if you want to register), and there are already several dates planned for the next months (and others will be added soon!). And, of course, by installing SQL Server 2012 and trying to create models over your databases. If you are too lazy, just start with PowerPivot. As soon as you start working with Tabular or PowerPivot, you will see that there is one important skill you need: learning DAX. In the next few days I should publish an article that I’m finishing these days about best practices using SUMMARIZE and ADDCOLUMNS. If only someone published this article one year ago, I would have saved many hours of my life. But, you know, flight manuals are written in blood… and someone has to write! Stay tuned.

  • LibreOffice Calc/Writer: How to get the dates for specifc weekdays per month?

    I'm stuck with a problem in LibreOffice Calc or Writer: I try to get a table of dates for every monday, wednesday and friday per month, something that I can load every new month wich sets the dates automatically so I just have to print the page on paper. :) In Writer the fieldcommand for date can't obviosly do the job (it only can be set to a fix date, the todays date or +offset as far as I can see). In Calc I tried it with the autofill but that obviosly works for the first 3 days only. I might add that I'm lost with Excel/calc formulars... Any help?

    I'm using nv.models.lineWithFocusChart, where I'm showing some hourly measurements. So the x domain is dates. What I need is to show a tick per hour on X axis: 00:00 01:00 02:00 ... 24:00 I've tried everything I could find but nothing works. It seems that its easy to set specific ticks when values are not dates. But can't figure out how to do it for dates.   • How can I select all records between two dates without using date fields?

    Hi, I have a MySQL DB and I need to be able to store dates earlier then 1970 - in my case, as early as 0 AD and earlier too, so I need a custom way to store dates. I have thought to use this format: Year - int(6) | Month -int(2) | day - int (2) | time - time | AD tinyint (1) | mya - int (11) But when it comes to actually using data in this format it becomes difficult. For example, if I want to get all records between two dates it would be like (pseudocode not SQL): get all where year between minYear and maxYear if year == minYear, month = minMonth if year == maxYear, month <= maxMonth if month == minMonth, day = minDay if month == maxMonth, day <= maxDay if day == minDay, time = minTime if day == maxDay, time <= maxTime or something, which seems like a right pain. I could store seconds before/after 0 AD, but that would take up way too much data! 2010 (EDIT: 2011) = 6.4 billion seconds since 0 AD. Does anybody have any ideas for this problem?

Without the styling, this works: DateWindowCalendar.BlackoutDates.Add(new CalendarDateRange( new DateTime(DateTime.Now.Year, DateTime.Now.Month, 01), DateTime.Now)); But when I add the style, I don't get the black out displays being displayed and worse its possible to select the blackout dates.     Situation: In short, I have a football schedule. I would like to use a custom cell which provides more info for only the next game date in the schedule. Issue: How do I find only the next closest game in the schedule (for iOS)? I've watched the WWDC 2013 video for "Solutions to Common Date and Time Issues" however this primarily applies to the Mac. I've searched numerous posts here and some are close but not what I need to find ONLY the next date from my list of dates in the schedule. From other posts I see where I can compare two specific dates, but this is not what I want to do. I want to find the next closest date that is equal to or after today from a list of dates.   • R plot- SGAM plot counts vs. time - how do I get dates on the x-axis?

    I'd like to plot this vs. time, with the actual dates (years actually, 1997,1998...2010). The dates are in a raw format, ala SAS, days since 1960 (hence as.date conversion). If I convert the dates using as.date to variable x, and do the GAM plot, I get an error. It works fine with the raw day numbers.
