    Do any languages that support retry constructs in exception handling track and expose the number of times their catch/rescue (and/or try/begin) blocks have been executed in a particular run? I find myself counting (and limiting) the number of times a code block is re-executed after an exception often enough that this would be a handy language built-in.

    My GWT app has a search result with orderid column as hyperlink. On clicking, it opens up another tab which shows the details. I want to expose this particular functionality externally say in an email http://www.myapp.com/XYZApp.html?orderid=1234 so that user can directly go to the details page after login to the App. In JSP world, it was pretty straightforward. Is it possible in GWT given that the call to show up the details page is not in the main GWT module (XYZApp.html)

    Hello, I am looking to integrate an existing product with Hawk (http://www.hawkms.com/), which our application support team uses to keep an eye on operations. I've never used the product so I was wondering if anyone could point me to some resources about how to expose performance data so that it can be monitored with Hawk.   • Giving event control back to xaml/callee to access check/uncheck

    Hi All, I've scoured the Internet but my search-foo must not work if it's out there cause I just can't find the proper search terms to get me the answer I am looking for. So I turn to the experts here as a last resort to point me in the right direction. What I'm trying to do is create a composite control of a text box and a list box but I want to allow the control consumer to decide what to do when say the checkbox is checked/unchecked and I just can't figure it out... Maybe i'm going about it all wrong. What I've done thus far is to: create a custom control that extends ListBox expose a custom DP named "Text" (for the Text box but it's not the important part) craft the generic.xaml so that the list items have a default ItemTemplate/DataTemplate inside the DataTemplate I'm trying to set the "Checked" or "Unchecked" events expose 'wrapper' events as DPs in the custom control that would get 'set' via the template when instatiated As soon as I try something like the following (inside generic.xaml): <DataTemplate> <...> <CheckBox Checked="{TemplateBinding MyCheckedDP}"/> <...> </DataTemplate> I get runtime exceptions, the designer - vs2010 - pukes out a LONG list of errors that are all very similar and nothing I do can make it work. I went so far as to try using the VisualTreeHelper but no magic combination I could find would work nor would it allow me to traverse the tree because when the OnApplyTemplate method fires the listbox items don't exist yet and aren't in the tree. So hopefully this all makes sense but if not please let me know and I'll edit the post for clarifications. Thanks to all for any pointers or thoughts... Like I said maybe I'm heading about it in the wrong way from the start...   • WPF, ShowGridLines equivalent for wrap panel

    I need to display a 1 pixel wide border around all wrap panel cells, kinda like excel grid. Unfortunately the wrap panel does not implement the grid ShowGridLines property. I can't put a border inside every cell because adjacent cells will have a 2 pixel border instead of 1 pixel. Since the wrap panel arranges it's layout dynamically and does not expose it's properties I can't evaluate the correct value for a border inside a cell. Any workaround possible?

    Hi, Is there an alternative in OpenSSL to SSL_set_connect_state()/SSL_set_accept_state() for X.509 certificate based authentication? The problem is that in my application the client and server do not communicate using sockets, and the establishment of direct connection between them is not possible. So what I want from OpenSSL is to 'expose' the intermediate SSL context establishment messages which I would then convey to the party at the other end. Thanks for your help!

    I have a function in C++ that takes in an std::istream as the input: class Foo { Foo(std::istream &); } Using SWIG, I've bound it to Ruby, but Ruby's $stdin variable is fundamentally different from anything like the stream classes in C++, so I'm not sure how to either 1) expose the C++ class to Ruby in a way that I can use $stdin, or 2) convert $stdin into something the C++ class can understand. Anyone have experience with binding iostreams in C++ to Ruby? Thanks.

    I have a typical views page displaying nodes, with a taxonomy tid receiveid as an argument through the url: cat/% Now I want to further narow the results with an exposed filter by a cck field. All goes well and for tid=10 (for instance), the filtered page url is cat/10?field_no_people_value=5 Now, when I expose the filter in a block, the argument, tid, goes away and I get cat/all?field_no_people_value=5 . Obviously, filtering by tid doesn't happen anymore. How should I get around this?

I need a page that does some server side processing and returns pure javascript for an external application to request.
