  • Correct way to create a menu with shortcuts in WPF

    What is the correct/best way to create a menu with hotkey shortcuts? I simply want a File menu like Visual Studio's that has New, Open, Save, Save All, Exit, and a few other standard shortcuts. It seems that InputGestureText displays the appropriate text, but since it's called "Text" and doesn't seem to trigger events, I'm going to assume that isn't the right way to do it. The Command architecture also seems fairly bulky, so I don't want to head down that path if there is a better way.

Let's say I have a theoretical, base 10, floating point calculator with the following characteristics Only 3 digits for mantissa 1 digit for exponent Sign for mantissa and exponent How would this machine compute the following? 300 + \sum_{i=1}^{100} 0.2 The correct result is 320. The machine's result is 300. But why? Can't get where the 20 goes goes missing... Thanks for your time.

    I always think to myself after solving a programming challenge that I have been tied up with for some time, "It works, thats good enough". I don't think this is really the correct mindset, in my opinion and I think I should always be trying to code with the greatest performance. Anyway, with this said, I just tried a ProjectEuler question. Specifically question #2. How could I have improved this solution. I feel like its really verbose. This class reads the connection properties from a resource file and tries to make a connection to Oracle (thin connection). However, recently the database have moved to a RAC and now the application is unable to connect to the DB.     Dear Linq experts, I get an SqlDateTime overflow error (Must be between 1/1/1753 12:00:00 AM and 12/31/9999 11:59:59 PM.) when doing an INSERT using an Linq DataContext connected to SQL Server database when I do the SubmitChanges(). When I use the debugger the date value is correct. Even if I temporary update the code to set the date value to DateTime.Now it will not do the insert. Did anybody found a work-around for this behaviour? Maybe there is a way to check what SQL the datacontext submits to the database.

  • NSDateFormatter incorrect date on simulator, correct date on device

    Hi, Im building a calendar and to find out the first day of the month I do [formatter setDateFormat:@"e"]; int startDay = [[formatter stringFromDate:newDate] intValue]; On the device this works correctly and the 1st of the month is on the correct day. But on the simulator it is the day after. Although it doesn't overly matter about the simulator it is kind of driving me crazy thinking I've done something wrong. I tried to set the locale of the formatter but no difference, nor i think should it. Can anyone shed some light on this? On a side note is there a better way to build a calendar than this?

    Hello, I have this code for checking whether the Date is OK or not, but it's not ckecking all the cases. For example when text="03/13/2009" as this date doesn't exist in the format "dd/MM/yyyy" it parses the date as 03/01/2010. Is there any way to change this behaviour and getting an exception when I try to parse a Date which is not correct?     Hello, In mysql utf8 coded turkish data i can't search "I" and "i". when i search its giving result contains "Y" or "y". Because in latin1 "I" displaying as "Ý" and "i" as "ý". in latin1 data i was used latin1_general_ci for correct result. but there is not alternative collation for utf8. its already utf8_general_ci. is there any other people have some problems or do you have a solution. thanks. i have tried stackoverflow search engine to for this problem. if its have mysql and utf8 then my work true. try search "alI" and "ali". both search give another result. but both same in turkish. the "I" is capital i and capital "I" is "i" in turkish.

  • MVC Site - Ensuring the default entry view is always correct

    I have a MVC site with AD authorization. This is all working fine. I publish the site to the webserver and call the site directly (http://intranet). If I have not logged in for a while (I have an authorised cookie with a 30 minute TTL), I am prompted to log-in and if successful I am redirected to the homeController's index view. This is great and as expected. If I keep the session open (browser open) and browse away from the site, if I then browse back to http://intranet, I am not challenged as I have recently authenticated but the default page is from a different controller and not the home page view. How can I stop this from happening? It cannot be a session setting as this is not a new session and the routes appear correct - they are not beng called at this point anyhow. Please MVC guru's advise....!

  • Perl references not returning correct values

    Hi, this is my first time asking a question here so apologies if I am not following any conventions correctly. I encountered a bug in some Perl code that basically lost any parameters in the URL after the first name-value pair and the solution was to use the URI::Escape function on the URL. After this change I decided to move code that does this to a Perl module (Utils.pm) so that any future changes only need to be made once in this file, rather than have to update every file that uses it. The problem I seem to have is that the user, passwd and priv variables don't seem to return the correct values - the system still allows you to sign in but it can't identify your name or the privileges that you have. Below is a link to a pastebin of the code I believe to be relevant to the problem. I believe it is to do with the references but any changes I make just break the page!     So I have this piece of prolog code: my_avalia(A,R) :- A=="Koza" -koza(R,0,0,e,89). koza(R,_,_,_,87):-!,write(R). koza(R,X,Y,V,C):-movex(V,X,X1),movey(V,Y,Y1),confirma(X1,Y1,Z),Z==1->(append(R,[emFrente],U),L is (C-1),koza(U,X1,Y1,V,L)). The matter is that when I write the "R" at koza(), it has the correct values, however it ends up with a empty list in my_avalia when I call it like this: my_avalia("Koza",R). My recursion might be incorrect but I don't really know what's wrong with it. Thanks in advance.

    I have users uploading DOCX files which I make available for download. The issues we have been experiencing is the unknown mime types of DOCX files which causes IE to open these docs as Zip files. It is running on a Windows/IIS server. Because this is a shared host, I cannot change any server settings. I was thinking that I could just write some code that would handle DOCX files, perhaps custom output: if (extension=docx) { header("Content-Disposition: attachment; etc) header('Content-Type: application/application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document'); Output the file contents etc } Would this be a viable solution?? If so, can someone help fill in the gaps? (PS I know the above syntax is not correct, just a quick example)
