    Il y a peu, Nokia lançait Qt Quick, un nouveau module de Qt permettant de décrire des interfaces graphiques, un paradigme alors présenté comme assez nouveau. Or, une simple recherche à l'aide de Google montre bien que ces technologies ne sont pas récentes du tout, on trouve par exemple des traces de K, un langage presque ésotérique tellement il est peu connu du grand nombre actuellement, dans les années 90. Qu'est-ce qui a changé depuis lors ? Aussi, on peut remarquer que d'autres technologies phares dans le développement applicatif telles que .NET ou Java en disposent depuis belle lurette. On peut notamment citer XAML (arrivé avec le .NET Framework 3.0) du côté .NET ou Swul pour Java. Qu'ont-ils donc de différent ? Peut-on les comparer ? Ils tentent tous d'atteindre un cer...

    I'm developing a j2me application for my mobile phone (a Nokia). I'm using WTK (Wireless Toolkit) to test my code. Because I'm using a GPS device via a Bluetooth connection, I would like to be able to extend the emulator with bluetooth possibilities. Has anyone experience with BT & WTK? according to this article there is no way to do it by default. Any other ideas?

    Hi , I'm working on a j2me application and i'm using j2me polish. when i deploy the application on any touch screen devices like Nokia N97 / Samsung Omnia the on-screen keyboard comes by default. I need to go to the installed applications and disable it everytime i install the applicaton. Is there any way by adding some property in the build.xml to disable the on-screen keyboard.

  • KeyPressed working on N95 but not woking on N86 etc

    I have a customItem in my application and I am using keypressed event for it. Until now, I have been testing my application on N95 and it works perfectly there but the same keypressed event is not working on other nokia phones such as N86 and ExpressMusic.   • Is file transfer possible to iPhone 3.0 via Bluetooth or not?

    Is it possible to transfer files of a bluetooth device, lets say a digital pen (e.g. Nokia or Logitech io2) to the iPhone? I am interested if I could do a native application that could somehow get that binary file sent by the digital pen and do something with it. I am used to rfcomm and obex but I can only find inconclusive results when I search for that and the support in the iPhone SDK... Any ideas?

    Hi, I want to make an application for my phone (Nokia N900) It uses the Maemo Platform, which is a Linux variant. Most applications are made with either QT or Python, i only have experience in C#, and am wondering if it is at all possible to convert C# to QT, or would i have to use something like Mono or Vala to write the code in C# and create the applications for the N900??   • Java ME right to left TextField label

    Hello, I'm writing a Java ME app and i need the label for the text field to be right aligned.. I've tried setting the layout of the TextField to Item.RIGHT but it doesn't seem to affect anything when running on my test phone (Nokia E71). The text inside the TextField is right aligned and Lists and such items are desplayed correctly (RTL aligned) but the TextField label isn't. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Aircel, one of the leading wireless mobile services provider of India has just announced that iPhone 4S will be available to its customers on November 25. You can start pre-booking the phone from November 18 through Aircel website or walking into an Aircel showroom near you. My multiple calls to Aircel customer care division were no use to get the details on the price information. Three times the call got disconnected before a customer care executive tried fetching the details on price and models. We hear from BGR India blog that iPhone 4S price is going start at Rs. 40,000 for a 16GB model and may go up to Rs. 50,000 for a 64 GB model. Airtel, another leading mobile service provider in India, who sells iPhone in India is not sure when they are going to start offering iPhone 4S to its customer. I reached customer care regarding the iPhone 4S and they don’t have any details to offer at the moment. It’s good to see Apple releasing iPhone 4S to India markets just after couple of months of International release. Apple was earlier criticized for releasing iPhone 2, iPhone 3G in India almost an year after the international launch while companies like Nokia release their flagship models just after weeks of international launch. One of the most sought after feature of iPhone 4S is Siri and my friends in US told that it works amazingly good. Siri does not have any problem in understanding Indian English accent and it is very good at recognizing the Indian names in contacts list. But at the same time we do hear reports that Siri does not help much if it’s used outside USA. Considering that Siri is a software it should be possible for Apple to improve it to work better outside USA. But who know the priorities of Apple! All these days my mobile browser, opera, rendered the heavy desktop version of AdSense interface and it was tough to navigate around and see the earnings. To solve the problems of me as well as millions of other AdSense users, Google yesterday released a mobile version of AdSense user interface that works on almost all the mobile platforms – iOS, Android, Windows Phone 7, Symbian and many others. If you have opted for the new beta user interface of AdSense, you will be presented with the mobile version when you https://www.google.com/adsense on your mobile. Here is a screen grab of how looks like on iPhone and Android device.It looks similar on my Nokia mobile too. The Adsense interface for mobile is very nice – on the home page I can quickly have a look at today’s earnings, recent payment amount, last month finalized amount and the total unpaid balances. The quick reports option available the bottom of the screen lets me access a graphical view of useful earnings reports like – Last 7 days, Last 30 days, This Month and Last Month.
