  I tried to implement paypal pro for my site. Which will let user enter their info and charge 1$ for the trial, and 10$ for the recursive fee. • Using twitter gem to signup and authenticate users

  Hi, I'd like to allow users the option to register using their Twitter account. Basically, I'll present them with a standard signup form (name, login, email, pwd, pwd_confirm) as well as a "Signup with Twitter" link. If a user chooses to signup with Twitter creds, then I'll create a user record in db. Then I'd like to be able to allow a user to authenticate using their Twitter creds on returning visits. Also, I'm using restful_authentication, so I need to have this work within that context. What is the best way to do this? I haven't been to find any tutorials on allowing the signup and authentication pieces. Most examples just show how to authenticate a Twitter user into your app. Thanks.

• google account security ?

  I want to write a web-app which would ask the user to pass their google account (user and pwd) so that it can access their google data. I understand google supports alternative ways to do this, such as AuthSub and OathAuthSub. Also google discourages apparently clientLogin (which would be my approach) for web apps. My question is: if I were asking the user to register to my app by passing me a 'read only' google account ? so effectively I don't ask them to pass me their account but to create another account which is readonly. does anybody see anything wrong with this ? am I missing something ? Since their google account continues to be the admin they don't risk (in terms of security) anything. Any help would be welcome ? Thanks

If I run proc = subprocess.Popen(['pwd'], cwd='/home/git/repos/testing.git' stdout=subprocess.PIPE, stderr=subprocess.PIPE) it says, as expected, correct path to git repository (/home/git/repos/testing.git) If I run this script manually from bash, it works correct and show correct output of "git log". • Same-directory includes failing on a Fedora server with PHP.

  I have a couple files that look like this: index.php: <?php include('includes/header.php'); ... includes/header.php: <?php include('config.php'); ... The error I get is Warning: require(config.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [dir]/includes/header.php on line 2 Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'config.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php') in [dir]/includes/header.php on line 2 I did some further debugging: when I add the call system('pwd'); to includes/header.php, it shows [dir], where it should say [dir]/includes. Adding the 'includes/' to the include path works, but isn't desirable because that would fail on the production server. The above code works on a production server, and worked fine on my development Fedora server, until I tried to change my development environment so that the Fedora server's document root is a mounted CIFS share. Any ideas? Thanks.

We want ANY user under Security Groups OU to have access to the application and not just the CN. Tomcat does not search OU's and it just searches CN's in our case.   Hi, On a 2003 server box, with SQL server 2008 installed (ReportServer deployed in IIS mode), I've got a virtual directory within IIS with it's security set to 'windows authentication', with the following html code: <body> <h1>test</h1> <iframe src="/reportserver" witdh="50%" height="50%" /> </body> From the outside, I've got a first login/pwd box displayed to access the html code, then a second one to display the content of the iframe. On the same type of server, but with SQL Server 2005, I don't have this issue (i.e. only one login box). My thought is that the first token should give acces to both the page and the iframe, isn't it? Any hints on how to setup the reportserver to fix this? thanks.

• How can I (from a script) add something to the zsh command history?

  I'd like to be able to look through my command history and know the context from which I issued various commands--in other words, "what directory was I in?" There are various ways I could achieve this, but all of them (that I can think of) would require manipulating the zsh history to add (for instance) a commented line with the result of $(pwd). (I could create functions named cd & pushd & popd etc, or I could use zsh's preexec() function and maybe its periodic() function to add the comment line at most every X seconds, just before I issue a command, or perhaps there's some other way.) The problem is, I don't want to directly manipulate the history file and bypass the shell's history mechanism, but I can't figure out a way (with the fc command, for instance) to add something to the history without actually typing it on the command line. How could I do this?

Although, I can use alternate means to get all elements of my current PS1, I would really like to be able to reuse its definition instead of using these alternate means.
