  • Align 3 images in a div , left-centre-right, uneven margin

    I could find a work around for this if I wanted but it seems wrong and am trying to learn to code in a neater way. Basically I have a div with 3 images in it, the div is 700px, and each image is 220px, So thats 660px with two 20px gaps left and right of the centre image, and the outside images going all the way to their end of the div. Is there a quicker way of doing this without setting up seperate ids for each image? .contentpictureblock { float:left; } .contentpictureblock img { margin-right:20px; } <div class="contentpictureblock"> <img src="http://..."> <img src="http://..."> <img src="http://..."> </div> Doing the above^ pushes the third image to the next line, which is understandable. I know I could always make seperate divs for each image, and adjust the margins for each one but Im just wondering is there a quicker one off overflow type command that I could apply to the above? It would mean the right margin would be on all the images but would have no effect on its positioning in the last image. Thanks for the help.

    I have a current web build with a right sidebar that is a fixed position. I have tried to positioning from the right but don't want it overlapping other divs content. What I am looking for is to have the content scrollable horizontally to the right when it is out of the viewport window. Any help would be greatly appreciated. similarly to this: http://demo.rickyh.co.uk/css-position-x-and-position-y/ however I can not get this working. This has been solved by alternative method.   • html vertical space between blocks appears

    Please have a look at this page www.pixeli.ca/issue. I have begun making a page layout using CSS framework 960.gs. My problem is that there is some strange space appears between block with top image and blue block with "hello" string. So you can see a green stripe there that shouldn't be visible at all. I tried different variants and have no idea what's wrong with it. I noticed that it happens only with the block with images inside them, but if there is only text, no space happens. Thanks.

    I have a silverlight application that is set to use 100% browser height. As I dynamically add controls to a canvas (which can be dragged around), I would like the expand the canvas vertically. Ideally show the browser scrollbar so the user can move up or down, if that can't be done, use the scrollbar control. I would also need to handle the user changing the size of the browser.   • CSS - vertical align text where text can be multiple lines

    Hi all I've been given a design by a graphic designer, which I'm trying to put into HTML and CSS. One of the issues I'm facing is on a user input form. In the design the labels for each input are a fixed width - say 100px. The container for each label/input pair is fixed at 2em. The design I've been given has asked that the text for each label is vertically aligned. So the structure is like this: <containerTag> <label /> <input /> </containerTag> No problems as long as the text is on one line (I would have just used line-height of 2em to match the container), but some of the text in the labels are wrapping to two or even lines. Is there a semantic and nice way to get around this problem? I need something that will work in IE6-9, Firefox 3.5+, Chrome and Safari. Although I am using progressive enhancement, so if there is a solution that will only work on the later browsers, but won't break the older ones, then this would be acceptable.     I have a box like this: <div id="selectBox"> Select: <select> <option>1</option> <option>2</option> </select> </div> How do i get them aligned so that they are horizontal in the middle of each other, the baseline of the "Select" text and the content of the select box ("1").(and not the box itself). I can solv this by wrapping a table around them and make two cells but i feel that method is very crude.

    From what I gather, there are two major methods to perform alignment on point clouds, Iterative Closest Point (ICP) and Particle Filtering. What are the advantages of each method? And can someone point me some good tutorials. For what I am currently doing, I think ICP would be easier, I can't seem to find any simple reference implementations online for 2d point sets. Has anyone seen (psuedo)code for ICP with details on the transformation step? Thanks in advance.

    I’m not too familiar with webpage design and am having a problem. I have the following datalist which is displayed ok but it is the section near the bottom that I am having with. I want the Hyperlink image to be on the same line as the “Details” text. Unfortunately the text appears below the Hyperlink control. Is there an easy fix to get what I want ?   • Why does the last row of my tableview not align to the bottom of the screen

    I have a view which consists of a tableview and a navigation bar. For my tableview I have implemented a 'Load more' row which will load current + pagesize every time it is clicked The way the loading works is very simple, every time it is clicked I just request the amount of rows I want to display e.g. 5, 10, 15 and so on. This request populates an array and I call [self.tableView reloadData] The issue I am experiencing is that when I go to the tableview the first time, it correctly loads and displays the tableview. However, if I 'Load more' it returns the correct amount and displays the correct number of cells but the last cell will not fit properly at the bottom of the screen, about 1/2 of it (or roughly the size of the navigation bar of the cell) appears below the bottom of the screen. I thought it was sufficient to just tell the tableview to reload itself. Do I need to use [self.tableView insertRowsAtIndexPaths ...] to do this.

  • Background image fixed with vertical scroll bar in IE

    I have a gradient background image in my web application, it goes from dark at the top to light at the bottom. In Firefox, this image is handled properly, where upon scrolling vertically downwards on the page, the dark top section disappears. However, when I started testing in IE (I'm using IE8) the background image stays fixed behind the screen as you vertically scroll, meaning the dark top section of the background image is always rendered at the top of the IE view. I've set the background tag to have scroll defined, which from all I can tell should solve the problem, but IE is not happy. background: #470077 url( images/abcd.jpg ) repeat-x scroll; I made sure to be clearing the data in IE in case it was caching the old style before I added scroll.   • Align text with right edge of an html form

    I have an html form where the width of a textarea is specified with cols=. I want the textarea to have a specific width in terms of number of characters. However, I also want some controls to be right-justified to the right edge of the textarea. They're not in the textarea, but directly above or below it. Is it possible to do this? I was thinking a possible approach might be enclosing the textarea with some type of container that could grow to the width of the textarea, but I'm not sure how I could right-justify text within that.
