  • VBA Access Import Specification strange error

    I am trying to import a text file into Access using a saved "Import Specification" in my access database using VBA. The import generates the Import Error table showing the errors in the last two fields. BUT if I use the same import specification manually to import the text file, the Import works perfect !!!!!     I'm creating a digg-like site using Ruby on Rails that ranks the item (based on this algorithm). I'm using the will-paginate gem list the items in pages. The problem is, will-paginate only allows me to insert ':order =' based on the table data. I would like to make will-paginate to sort by a number which is calculated using a function based on different fields on the table (e.g number of votes, age hours). How can I do that?

It includes this: <input type="checkbox" id="event_allDay" name="event_allDay" class="checkbox" checked="checked" /> but not this <input type="checkbox" id="event_allDay" name="event_allDay" class="checkbox" /> How can I get "values" of checkboxes that is not checked?

    I have an MySQL table with 25000 rows. This is an imported CSV file so I want to look at the last ten rows to make sure it imported everything. However, since there is no ID column, I can't say: SELECT * FROM big_table ORDER BY id DESC What SQL statement would show me the last 10 rows of this table? The structure of the table is simply this: columns are: A, B, C, D, ..., AA, AB, AC, ... (like Excel) all fields are of type TEXT

Above this number I get the following error: Run-time error'-2147217887(80040e21)': Could not update; currently locked by another session on this machine. What is the significance of this number 2036 and is there a property I can adjust that will allow the above update to take place?

    Basically, I want to have a database that's lightweight and I won't need to install a million other things on my clients computers for them to access this. I just need a simple method of reading and writing values so that they're not hardcoded into the program. I have an entity that has two fields creationDate and updateDate of type timestamp, that have to be filled with the current UTC time when the entity is persisted and updated. I know about the existence of the @PrePersist and @PreUpdate annotations, but i don't know how to use their equivalent in my Xml mappings. Again, i was wondering if Hibernate somehow supports natively the update and creation time set. Thanks
