• VoiceXML Prompt & SSML <mark> element. How to read prompt from the specified position?

  <mark> element informs that reading went on to some point. But is there a way we could read the prompt again from the specified position returned by mark (name) id? It could be useful in such a scenario: we are reading a long text. Then the user commands: PAUSE. We stop. Then the user would say "Go on". And we continue to read the prompt from the last position. IS that possible at all? And I would ask yet another question. No matter with the usage of SSML or not: How to make it work - pause the prompt reading and then continue from the position where we stopped? Pause means "take full control over that pause", so that we could continue whenever we wanted. Dynamically.

• Automate paster create -t plone3_buildout

  I want to automate the process of plone3_buildout. Explanation: The default(the one I use) way of building a plone site is using paster, like so: paster create -t plone3_buildout This asks me a few questions and then create a default buildout for the site. What I want: I want to automate this process using buildout. My buildout will execute this paster command, feed in my preconfigured values to the paster. I haven't found a recipe which can do this. If someone has an idea of how to do this, please share the info. If there is a recipe which can feed values to interactive commands(with known output, like with plone3_buildout command), that would be useful too.

• Installing Ruby On Rails - Issues with gem (and no RVM)

  I'm having this issue whenever i run "gem install rails": usr/local/lib/ruby/1.9.1/yaml.rb:56:in `<top (required)>': It seems your ruby installation is missing psych (for YAML output). To eliminate this warning, please install libyaml and reinstall your ruby. ERROR: Loading command: install (LoadError) cannot load such file -- zlib ERROR: While executing gem ... (NameError) uninitialized constant Gem::Commands::InstallCommand Ruby and Rubygems were both installed from source. I've installed libyaml from source and from apt-get. I'm running ubuntu 12.04. I am NOT running RVM as far as I know (trying "rvm" returns "bla bla bla not installed apt-get". I'm pretty sure this speaks of 2 separate issues but I need solutions to both. Thanks.

• Modify installed SharePoint feature

  I have written a sequential workflow in SharePoint on our development environment. After testing, we decided to deploy this workflow as a feature on the staging environment. We did the following: copied the strongly named assembly to the GAC using gacutil copied feature.xml and workflow.xml to WebServerExtensions/12/templates/features/someFolder installed feature (stsadm command) activated feature (stsadm command) All worked exactly as planned and the workflow behaved correctly. The problem was, we decided to change something in the code (a message was not very self explanatory), so on the development machine we updated the message as requested and rebuilt the project. The problem is, we cannot seem to find a way to correctly get rid of the previous version of this workflow/feature. To deploy the upgrade, we: deactivated and uninstalled the feature (stsadm commands), removed also from GAC. increased the version of the assembly performed steps 1 to 4 from above. When using the workflow we are still getting the first message, we cannot find a way to get the new message to be displayed. What are we missing?

• Android Stream Data Over Wifi?

  Im trying to make an app for android that will stream the data of the accelerometer to be used as a game controller on my pc over a local wifi connection. Is it possible to make some kind of wifi stream of the accelerometer values in the android app and then make the pc somehow 'read' this stream? Or would it just be better for the pc to make endless calls to the phone getting the newest accelerometer values from a local android server? It would also have to send commands from the phone such as 'button1 pressed', 'button1 released'.

• Python unicode issues (2.6)

  I'm currently working on a irc bot for a multi-lingual channel, and I'm encountering some issues with unicode which are proving nearly impossible to solve. No matter what configuration of unicode encoding I seem to try, the list function which the below code sits within just flat out does nothing (c.notice is a class function which sends a NOTICE command to the irc server) or when it does do something, spits out something which obviously isn't encoded. The command should be sending ??, but instead it seems hellbent on sending å¤©å­ with a previous configuration of the same commands. The one I have specified below is of the 'send nothing' variety. I haven't worked with unicode before this, and thus I am quite stuck. I'm also positive that I'm doing this completely wrong as a consequence. • How do I create a shortcut to CMD.EXE that asks for elevation using INNO Setup?

  Hi, using INNO Setup I currently have the following entry under the [ICONS] section: Name: "{group}\My App\My App - Command Prompt"; Filename: "cmd.exe"; WorkingDir: "{app}" This shortcut launches a command prompt straight into my application's folder. Unfortunately it isn't launched as elevated which means the commands the user runs from there doesn't have appropriate rights. Using INNO Setup, how can I create a shortcut to CMD.exe (in a specific folder) that requires elevation? Doing this for other applications can be done via a manifest file. My question is, how do I use it using INNO, and if I can't, what are my alternatives?

• Recursive wildcards in GNU make?

  It's been a while since I've used make, so bear with me... I've got a directory, flac, containing .FLAC files. I've got a corresponding directory, mp3 containing MP3 files. If a FLAC file is newer than the corresponding MP3 file (or the corresponding MP3 file doesn't exist), then I want to run a bunch of commands to convert the FLAC file to an MP3 file, and copy the tags across. The kicker: I need to search the flac directory recursively, and create corresponding subdirectories in the mp3 directory. And I want to use make to drive this.

• Windbg + IDA: calculate an address in a module

  Hi all, I'm debugging remotely a windows XP machine. One of my drivers is loaded at address 0xb2c4c000 up to 0xb2cb9680. Now when I open my driver in IDA, the offset I want to set a breakpoint on is at 00017619. How can I effectively match my IDA address into windbg? I've tried the obvious which is to sum 0xb2c4c000 + 00017619 = 0xB2C635F7 and disassemble that address using the 'u' command in windbg. But the results did not match the assembly in IDA. On the side question: is there a way to cancel a command that is running in windbg? Several times I've ran commands that took ages to process, I would like to be able to cancel them if needed. • How to keep material on one double page in latex ?

  I have two side document(so I use twoside option) in latex. I need to keep some material(text, pictures...) on one double page. In another words I want to allow page break from odd to even page but I want to prohibit breaks from even to odd page. I tried to write macro: \newcommand{\nl}{ \\ \ifodd\c@page \relax \else \nopagebreak \fi} and use it instead of \ (I don't use any other line breaks commands in my document) but it does not work. • Can I ask Postgresql to ignore errors within a transaction

  I use Postgresql with the PostGIS extensions for ad-hoc spatial analysis. I generally construct and issue SQL queries by hand from within psql. I always wrap an analysis session within a transaction, so if I issue a destructive query I can roll it back. However, when I issue a query that contains an error, it cancels the transaction. Any further queries elicit the following warning: ERROR: current transaction is aborted, commands ignored until end of transaction block Is there a way I can turn this behaviour off? It is tiresome to rollback the transaction and rerun previous queries every time I make a typo.

• vs2008 mystery: Quick macro record and playback shortcuts not allowed?

  in vs2008, Tools, Macros, Record TemporaryMacro keyboard shortcut toggle is Ctrl+Shift+R; Run TemporaryMacro keyboard shorcut is Ctrl+Shift+P for playback. I've used them before, but they've stopped working. If I open Tools, Options, Keyboard, then navigate to a command like Tools.Run that has no assigned keyboard shortcut, I can experiment by pretending to assign a keyboard shorcut: I simply click inside the "Press shortcut keys:" textbox and try different keystroke combinations. Examples: Ctrl+p: currently assigned to File.Print Ctrl+r: currently assigned to various uses Ctrl+Shift+Q: available Ctrl+Shift+B: currently assigned to Build.BuildSolution BUT vs2008 will not even allow me to type either of Ctrl+Shift+P or Ctrl+Shift+R in the "Press shortcut keys:" textbox. When I type those combinations, nothing appears in the "Press shortcut keys:" textbox. Please note: I can record and playback a temporary macro by using the menu commands, however, the mouse is like a turtle when compared to the keyboard.   I want to be able to bring up an interactive python terminal from my python application. Some, but not all, variables in my program needs to be exposed to the interpreter. Currently I use a sub-classed and modified QPlainTextEdit and route all "commands" there to eval or exec, and keep track of a separate namespace in a dict. • How do you use vim's quickfix feature?

  I'm a pretty new Vim user and I've found that its learning curve is quite steep (at least for me). I just installed this vim script for JavaScriptLint error checking, which shows errors in vim's quickfix window once I save a buffer. However, I don't know what to do next.. How do I 'scroll' through all the errors? How do I close the quickfix 'window'? How do I get it to check for errors after I've made changes to my code? I've looked at the vim quickfix docs but the amount of commands are overwhelming and I can't seem to find what I want. Any help would be appreciated. A side question: is there any way to have javascriptlint check for js errors for code residing in a .html file? Thanks!

• Using emacs across many hosts

  On a daily basis I: use multiple workstations running either Linux, Windows, or MacOS X edit files on additional Linux hosts that are not any of the workstations mentioned above The only common element here is that the internet connects all of these hosts: workstations and servers. I can keep all of the config files in sync on my workstations too and can run an X server on all of them. What's the right way of running emacs? I don't want to sacrifice any features. In my ideal world I can type 'emacs foo.txt' on a remote host and some magic happens via X forwarding to display the file in my workstation's existing emacs session. Non-solutions tramp: when I'm manipulating a remote host an editor is just part of my workflow. I need a terminal open so I can run other commands quickly. tramp is all wrong for this. ncurses emacs: sucks, I want the graphical kind If you don't have a positive answer to my question, please don't just guess. • Cross-database transactions from one SP

  I need to update multiple databases with a few simple SQL statement. The databases are configurared in SQL using 'Linked Servers', and the SQL versions are mixed (SQL 2008, SQL 2005, and SQL 2000). I intend to write a stored procedure in one of the databases, but I would like to do so using a transaction to make sure that each database gets updated consistently. Which of the following is the most accurate: Will a single BEGIN/COMMIT TRANSACTION work to guarantee that all statements across all databases are successful? Will I need multiple BEGIN TRANSACTIONS for each individual set of commands on a database? Are transactions even supported when updating remote databases? I would need to execute a remote SP with embedded transaction support. Note that I don't care about any kind of cross-database referential integrity; I'm just trying to update multiple databases at the same time from a single stored procedure if possible. • How to use ctrl-i for an emacs shortcut without breaking tabs

  I want to redefine the emacs keyboard shortcut control-i to be "MOVE CURSOR UP" To do this, I added the following line to my .emacs file: (global-set-key (kbd "C-i") 'previous-line) What I then discovered is that the tab key, by default, does whatever is bound to control-i, which is obviously not what I want. So, to restore normal tab behavior, I added this to my .emacs file (global-set-key (kbd "<tab>") 'indent-for-tab-command) This mostly works. BUT, tab no longer works for auto-completing commands in the mini buffer. How can I fix that? Or is there a better way of going about this? Thanks.

  Hello, I'd like to develop a desktop application (on Windows, and preferably on .NET) that accepts bluetooth connections from mobile devices, that would then send commands to this application. I've never worked with bluetooth before. I've looked for open-source examples of such applications, but I had no luck. I've actually found on Microsoft a managed (.NET) wrapper for the bluetooth stack on Windows CE, but wasn't able to use it on my Windows 7. Do you know of any good texts discussing this topic?   This is very strange guys. I wrote a simple application. When I make my commands executed fast by moving mouse (event is on mouse move), I experience the following errors if I run my application without debugger (if I do, application just hangs and nothing happens): 1- "No context-sensitive help installed" however i haven't used help in my app. 2- Access violation errors from "uxtheme.dll" and "user32.dll" libraries! well, i think these errors happen when Windows Messages are sent quickly one after another. I came across these errors a while ago in a huge application. In both application I used SendMessage command, but what am i doing wrong? I'm now using Delphi 2010 Has anyone ever experienced this?!

• Using psftp to upload and download files

  Hello I am trying to upload and download files from my desktop to my server. Now after some search I did download psftp. I used to use filezilla earlier, but I cannot install it on my desktop due to a few reasons. Since psftp (similar to putty) is just an executable for file transfer. So now after going through this link http://www.math.tamu.edu/~mpilant/math696/psftp.html. I understood that put and get are two commands I would use to download and upload files. Now when I logon to the server and say get filename, it actually is throwing back an error "local: unable to open filename". I tried that with other files too, and I end up getting the same error. Am I making a mistake or is it a problem with this executable? I did not find relevant tags for this topic, could somebody suggest me the right forum for this issue.

• Silverlight 4 Assembly Sharing Problem

  I have a WPF .NET 4.0 class library referencing a Silverlight 4 class library. The SL library compiles fine but when I compile the WPF class library, I get: Error 2 Unknown build error, 'Cannot resolve dependency to assembly 'System.Windows, Version=2.0.5.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=7cec85d7bea7798e' because it has not been preloaded. When using the ReflectionOnly APIs, dependent assemblies must be pre-loaded or loaded on demand through the ReflectionOnlyAssemblyResolve event.' MyProj.Presentation.Wpf I figure the problem must be similar to the one mentioned here: http://markti.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!D92CF278F0F91957!273.entry but my WPF library doesn't contain any XAML that references a user control from my SL library. In fact, my SL library doesn't have any XAML in it at all. It does, however, have several shared DependencyObjects, such as an EventCommander (binding UI element events to Commands), and some DataTemplate helpers. Is there any way I can narrow down the problem here? And has anyone found a way of effectively referencing UI elements in a SL4 project from .NET 4.0? Thanks.
