  I want to display the posted comment once the user comments. Just to add it under all of them as facebook does.   I created this search mysql string and it is to literal or maybe un-literal? If I search for Dave for example it will only find items like "Dave something" and not find Dave. $queryArtist = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM artists WHERE artist LIKE '%$ArtistNameSearch%' ORDER BY artist ASC"); I know mysql_query is out dated and will change it to mysqli soon as I get this worked out. • LINQ-to-XML to DataGridView: Cannot edit fields -- How to fix?

  I am currently doing LINQ-to-XML and populating a DataGridView with my query just fine. The trouble I am running into is that once loaded into the DataGridView, the values appear to be Un-editable (ReadOnly). • Preventing Netbeans JAXB generation trashing classes

  I'm developing a SOAP service using JAX-WS and JAXB under Netbeans 6.8, and getting a little frustrated with Netbeans trashing my work every time the XSD schema my JAXB bindings are based upon changes. To elaborate, the IDE automatically generates classes bound to the schema, which can then be (un)marshalled from/to XML using JAXB. To these classes I've added extra methods to (for example) convert to and from separate classes designed to be persisted to database with JPA. The problem is that whenever the schema changes and I rebuild, these classes are regenerated, and all my custom methods are deleted. I can manually replace them by copy-pasting from a backup file, but that is rather time-consuming and tedious. As I'm using an iterative design approach, the schema is changing rather frequently and I'm wasting an awful lot of time whenever it does, simply to reinstate my previous code. While the IDE automatically regenerating the JAXB-bound classes is entirely reasonable and I don't mean to imply otherwise, I was wondering if anyone had any bright ideas as to how to prevent my extra work having to be manually reinstated every time my schema changes?

  My current project uses JSON as data interchange format. Both Front-end and Back-end team agree upon a JSON structure before start integrating a service. At times due to un-notified changes in JSON structure by back-end team; it breaks the front-end code. Is there any external library that we could use to compare a mock JSON (fixture) with servers JSON response. Basically it should assert the whole JSON object and should throw an error if there is any violation in servers JSON format. Additional info: App is built on JQuery consuming REST JSON services.

• Visual Studio 2005 - VC++ compiler C1001 on Windows 7

  When I try to build a simple "Hello World" C++ app on Windows 7 Beta, using Visual Studio 2005 (VC++2005) I get a rather generic error C1001 error (Internal compiler error) The compiler seems to just crash, and Windows pops up its (un)helpful This program has stopped working dialog. The file it complains about is mcp1.cpp. Has anyone come across this before?   Is there a way to view stack elements like un-assigned return values or exceptions that not assigned to a local variable? (e.g. throw new ...) For example, suppose I have code along the lines of: public String foo(InputStream in) throws IOException { NastyObj obj = null; try { obj = new NastyObj(in); return (obj.read()); } finally { if (obj != null) obj.close(); } } Is there any way to view the return or exception value without stepping to a higher level frame where it is assigned? This is particularly relevant with exceptions because you often have to step back up through a number of frames to find an actual handler. I usually use the Eclipse debugging environment, but any answer is appreciated. Also, if this cannot be done, can you explain why? (JVM, JPDA limitation?)

  Merely knowing the internal functionality of each approaches, and after reading a lot of posts, I still can't figure out if each one of them is just a matter of personnal preference for the developper or if they deserve different axes of productivity ? Does one of them should be applyed for some specific productivity needs or MS is just beeing kind offering three different flavours ? Should we consider CF as a sort of improvement over DBF or MF and thinking of it as a futur standard on wich spending a peculiar intelectual investment ... ? Is there a link showing a sort of synthetic table with un-passionate pros and cons for each approach, a little bit like for web-forms and MVC. Sorry for those who will find this question redondant. I know it is.

  My understanding is that SSL combines an encryption algorithm (like AES, DES, etc.) with akey exchange method (like Diffier-Hellman) to provide secure encryption and identification services between two endpoints on an un-secure network (like the Internet). My understanding is that SASL is an MD5/Kerberos protocol that pretty much does the same thing. So my question: what are the pros/cons to choosing both and what scenarios make both more preferable? Basically, I'm looking for a guidelines to follow when choosing SSL or to go with SASL instead. Thanks in advance!

  I am wondering about my VPS providers ubuntu terminal. Are all these terminals the same? I think they are so user-UN-friendly. I can't copy-paste into the terminal, when I try opening textfiles, I can't scroll up and down easily. I cant save easily. Nothing is easy... Is it always like this with Ubuntu? Is there any way to make it easier? I use windows but I login to my vps provider with login details and then simply click "terminal" to open the terminal. Please help me out here

  Hi, I'm trying to create a PHP based game where you have to do all sorts of simple but un-obvious tasks in order to progress to the next level (eg. refresh browser, press keyboard combination, ...) Kinda like the game "this is the only level" (if anyone has ever heard of it) Now I was thinking: Would it be possible to create a level where they'd have to sign up at a different page in order to progress to the next level? So say for example they need to sign up to goal.com and if they're signed up they proceed to the next level. The page would need to constantly check if the signup process on the other site is completed. Is this even possbible? And if so, any thoughts on how? Thanks!

Does the above class i.e. A is correct. Can we do so? If yes then why we needed and in which circumstances we should use it? • changing img src with JQuery but leave pathing info intact?

  I'm using JQuery to switch out an image src thusly: $("#myImg").attr("src", "../../new.gif"); notice the relative pathing on the new src. Unfortunately, this isn't portable when I deploy my app. In my MVC app I'm using a ResolveUrl() method that will fix the pathing problem for me so it's portable, but now my JQuery image src swapper doesn't work right since it now switches the correctly resolved path to a broken relative one. <img id="myImg" src="<%=ResolveUrl("~/Images/transparent.gif")%>" /> What I want is for JQuery to just flip the actual filename and leave the path untouched. My first thought would be to // pseudocode javascript jquery on my thought on how to approach this prob var oldFullPath = $('#myImg").GetTheImgSrc; var newFileNameWithPathIntact = someRegexAddNewFileNameWithOldPath $("#myImg").attr("src", newFileNameWithPathIntact); but that seems rather gross and un-JQuery to me. • Call to a member function query() on a non-object

  Ok, this is so weird!!! I am running PHP Version 5.1.6 when I try and run the code below it gives a fatal error of an object that has not been instantiated. • port binding "problem" with Eclipse, Java, & Windows

  Hi All, I use eclipse to develop a web based java application. My normal course of business is grab the next task tracking ticket. If there is a problem that needs to correcting, I run the application locally, which loads of a Jetty webserver, and binds to port 8080. After verifying the problem, I fix the problem, rebuild, and the re-run the application. The problem is, I far too often forget to close the jetty server before re-running. This generates the Java bind error: WARNING: failed [email protected]:8080: java.net.BindException: Address already in use: JVM_Bind I work in Windows, and was looking to see if there is command I could run to un-bind the port, but couldn't find an answer there. Does anyone here have a good idea of how to fix my problem, other than remember to shut down the old jetty instance before starting a new one? Thanks, Jay

  Hello, Another quick question. I'd like to release some updates for a WinForm program, but to date I have simply released an all-new compile. People have to un-install the old version and install the new version. I bet there's a way to get around this, but I don't know what it's called. • Mercurial merge strategy per file type

  All: I want to use kdiff to merge all files with a certain suffix (say *.c, *.h) and I want to do two things (turn off premerge and use internal:other) for all files with another suffix (say *.mdl). The purpose of this is to allow me to employ a type of 'clobber merge' for a specific file type (ie: un-mergable files like configurations, auto-generated C, models, etc..) In my .hgrc I've tried: [merge-tools] kdiff3= clobbermerge=internal:other clobbermerge.premerge = False [merge-patterns] **.c = kdiff3 **.h = kdiff3 **.mdl = clobbermerge but it still triggers kdiff3 for all files. Thoughts? An extension of this would be to perform a 'clobber merge' on a directory - but once the syntax is clear for a file suffix, the dir should be easy.

• Getting closure-compiler and Node.js to play nice

  Are there any projects that used node.js and closure-compiler (CC for short) together? The official CC recommendation is to compile all code for an application together, but when I compile some simple node.js code which contains a require("./MyLib.js"), that line is put directly into the output, but it doesn't make any sense in that context. I see a few options: Code the entire application as a single file. This solves the problem by avoiding it, but is bad for maintenance. Assume that all files will be concatenated before execution. Again this avoids the problem, but makes it harder to implement a un-compiled debug mode. I'd like to get CC to "understand" the node.js require() function, but that probably can't be done without editing the compiler itself, can it?

• Connecting Delphi to P/Invoke and .net

  The Delphi complier often uses a *.Dll when a special delivery of code info is required to the complier/editor:- example bourland.dll is the memory manager for the Delphi complier, as I remember. And their are many other *.dll's that Embarcoo keep secret that do other things. Is their anything you know that is public information on this subject .net's un managed code could be declared in a *.pas file as a decelerations but the only way to communicate it out is calling *.dll's like P/Invoke I have ilasm.exe and ildasm.exe and a decomplier into Delphi asm code now but still getting around to learn how to use them all yet. I do not have any reference material/editorials on P/invoke at all as I cannot find anything With that I will have a good concrete plan to make a good result I do not know what *.DLL's are in P/Invoke. Do you have any documentation. I do not have any reference material/editorials on ADO.net. The Dlls that are called and any referqance matrial I could use. Best regards, J Lex Dean.
