    Dear All, I am unable to configure reporting server with sql server 2005 express edition. I have posted the link of a screen shot which shows the status.when ever i go to configure the reporting services it gives me the following errors(see screen shot)...also unable to start the reporting services.It starts and then stopped automatically....     Environment: Windows 7 Ultimate SQL Server 2005 Express 2 users on the computer I tried making the 2nd user a user in SQL Server (THINKPAD\2ndUser) and adding him to the database ("2ndUser"). Then, I logged in as 2ndUser and started Visual Studio 2008. When I tried to connect to the database, I got the following error message: The database '<bleep>' does not exist or you do not have permission to see it.

  • Possible to capture and re-broadcast as RTMP?

    I may have a need coming up soon to capture a live video broadcast stream and re-broadcast it as an RTMP stream for playback in Flash Player. Is this possible? I'm seeing posts online from 2005 to 2009 claiming that RTMP either isn't or is poorly supported in VLC. I do not currently know what format the incoming video stream will be -- will update when I get that information.

  • Reporting Services print dialog pops up after drill through

    Have encountered a problem with in Reporting Services 2005 with printing and drillthrough. If I view a report in Report Manager and then Print the report then I drillthrough from the first report to a second then when I click "back" to go back to the main report the Print dialog pops up. Has anyone else encountered this before? Does anyone know of any workarounds?

However my host has given me 4 options to choose from in the database department. MS SQL Server 2005 MySQL PostgreSQL MySQL 5 Which should I go for? From what I understand PostgreSQL is meant for smaller databases with high access times. Though to be honost I'm not quite sure.

  • Media Center keeps re-recording movies when they reappear in the Guide

    When I record a movie in Windows Media Center, it records it again every time it shows up in the Guide listings again - days, weeks, or months later. The movies are not listed as a Series (Recorded TV - Schedules - Series). I found many matches for this problem on Google, and no solutions. Windows XP SP3 w/all current updates; MCE 2005 w/all current updates.

    Is it safe to optimize a SQL Server 2005 SAP R/3 database using Database Tuning Advisor raccomandatations? We are experiencing very low performance on a dedicated SAP database because of intense read operations ad the db and DTA suggest to create about 25 indexes and 100 stats. I am not an expert of SAP and I am quite surprised to see that this database has about 56.000 tables and 6500 views (120 GB of data). Thank you all for help

    I have Microsoft Project Professional 2003 installed (11.2.2005.1801.15, SP2). I have been trying to open a MPP file created in a newer version so need the converter, which is part of SP3. But when I try to install the SP3 package (as downloaded from Microsoft's site) I get an error message box: --------------------------- Project 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3) --------------------------- The expected version of the product was not found on your system. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- Project (and Office) are licensed and otherwise work correctly.     I've ran into this cryptic statement for SQL Server: Files Per Database 32,767. What does that mean exactly? Is there a maximum number of tables for a given version of SQL Server. We try to support SQL Server post 2005 32-bit and 64-bit. So if anyone has a handy dandy table they use to figure out how many tables they can have per DB for Microsoft SQL Servers I'd heartily appreciate seeing it.

    I just installed SSRS 2008 on a development server and when I connect to it with SQL Management Studio I do not have all of the items in Object Explorer that I had with our SSRS 2005 installation. For example, we are missing the "Home" folder which lists all the reports. When we browse to our /ReportServer URL we can view and run our reports, so I know they are on the server. Does anyone know if this is a permissions issue or something else?
