  • incorporate simple vimeo video request with jquery carousel

    Hi, I did a tutorial for a jquery carousel that scrolls a ul. At the moment the ul is hardcoded, but I want to use a simple call to vimeo api to bring in the videos for a certain user into the carousel. I have uploaded my code here: http://www.welchcreative.co.uk/wp-content/infinitecarouselvimeo.zip My problem is that I don't know where I should put the code for the simple vimeo call, because at the moment, I think that the problem is that the vimeo videos load after the jquery stuff because it uses window.onload rather than document ready and I can't seem to work out how to put the two and two together. Ideally, 1. the code loads the vimeo videos first and puts them in a ul wiht the correct classes. 2. the carousel code then acts on the list above. in that order. I hope that isn't too vague. It's a pretty simple idea. I'm new to javascript and jquery. Thanks Andy

  • How to increase video memory in libvirt/KVM gui?

    In the 'Virtual Hardware details', it lists the model as 'cirrus' with 9MB of RAM. The RAM field cannot be changed, but how to increate the video RAM? My host OS is RH6 and gust OS is Fedora16. EDIT: From guest OS, when I run xvinfo it displays 'no adaptors present'. I was trying to play a video using gstreamers xvimagesink plugin (XFree86 video output plugin using Xv extension). The problem is that xvimagesink is using hardware acceleration for video performance and hence the error Could not initialize Xv output. I guess I'll have to configure hardware acceleration for the guest.

    I am trying to use swfobject 2.2 to display an swf, but the swf won't scale to fit the div that I'm putting it in. You can see what I've got here by clicking on the "Take the product tour" button.   • Flash video player doesn't play after rewriting a url

    Hi! I recently started a new job working on a content management system. One of the jobs was to implement url rewriting, which i've done, but for some reason the URL rewriting has killed the ability to play flv files through FLVPlayer_Progressive. An example can be seen below: Working if you then follow the link on the menu and go to Campaigns It's a Living Thing you can see how it's not working when the url is being re-written. Is it possible to install Video Card Driver in Ubuntu this situation ? BTW, My video card is NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT

  • Flash "Play" button doesn't play video unless you hit rewind or fast forward

    So I had an IE issue with flash videos continuing to play even when their DIV's display property was set to none ( $('flashdiv').hide(); ) So I was able to solve this problem, by using .detach() and then reinserting the div. This worked great, however the problem now is that the "play" button doesn't work. However, if I hit rewind, or fast forward, it plays, and the play/stop button work fine. The way I'm reinserting the divs is like this: var divid = $('#flashdiv').clone('true'); and then to reinsert: $('#test').html(divid); Any idea why the play button would not work?

    Anyone have any luck using Vimeo's moogaloop player? I'm wanting to use Vimeo's supposed API functions to create custom buttons to control the Vimeo player on my site. Here's the reference page for moogaloop: http://vimeo.com/api/docs/moogaloop I've been able to get the player to embed using SWFObject, but I can't seem to get the API functions to work (e.g. api_play()).     I'm trying to learn good relational database design (using mysql and php if that makes any difference). I've already done some database work, so I'm not totally clueless, but I suspect that my solutions may not have adhered to best practices for efficient searching, optimization, etc. Can someone suggest a good set of videos on the topic? If you know something is superb or has really made a difference in your own learning, please post your suggestion. Prefer videos, but books (as long as they're not too huge) are ok too.   • Help: Best way to do a TV-out in 7300GT Nvidia video card?

    I'm planning to recycle my old PC and build a Media Center using an open-source (C#) software called MediaPortal. My old PC has a GeForce 7300GT with a TV-out plug built-in. When I tested it last night, it wouldn't detect my JVC tv (CRT) using the current drivers. I even purchased a new copper-based TV-Out to RCA cable. I searched all 3 AV channels. The video card has 3 output ports: 2 DVI & 1 s-video. I used the s-video with a S-Video to RCA out cable. I swapped between PAL & NTSC So what I did was I downloaded the first version of an Nvidia driver for 7 series cards, but still even with the old console, it couldn't detect the TV. I'm running out of viable ideas. Anyone here had the same problem and fixed it? Any suggestion is appreciated. Thank you!

    I have a site with a flash SWF on the home page. I have a login dialog that is displayed using the jquery ui modal. The modal dialog is being covered by the SWF movie when it opens. I tried setting the z-index etc but nothing seems to stop the SWF from covering the log in. Is there any way to force the SWF movie to the background? The SWF uses src="support/AC_RunActiveContent.js" if that helps isolate the version.

    HI, I am using activeXMediaPlayer to play files from url but each time I pass a url to it shows the message , "either the file is corrupted or player does not support the file format u are playing." But when i run the same url on browser the file is downloaded and this downloaded file can be played on the media player. I am not able to find out what the problem is . Because the same cod plays the local file and the downloaded files but not file from url Although the same code worked few months ago for the urls So is this my fault or some server related issues can affect this thing.     I am working on creating a simple iPhone app that plays a movie via URL. When I Build&Run to test in the simulator, it works fine; as soon as I start playing the movie, I get the following message in the console: [1757:4b03] Cannot find executable for CFBundle/CFPlugIn 0x820ffe0 </Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/iSightAudio.plugin> (not loaded) [1757:4b03] Cannot find function pointer iSightAudioNewPlugIn for factory 9BE7661E-8AEF-11D7-8692-000A959F49B0 in CFBundle/CFPlugIn 0x820ffe0 </Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/iSightAudio.plugin> (not loaded) I don't get this error on other programs, so I assume it has something to do with this specific program, which uses the MediaPlayer.framework. Does anyone know what is causing this problem and how to fix it? Thank you
