  • KVM machine does not start ssh, network is started, used to work

    have been searching an pulling my hear out for the last 6 hours. I have a virtual machine that has been running fine for the last six months. I was happy ssh'ing into it and it was running a database and some small apps. Tonight ssh stopped working, so I decided to reboot the machine. I now have the following situation: virsh list --all states machine as running I can ping the machine and get a reply When I ssh to the machine I see "ssh: connect to host [myserver] port 22: Connection refused" nmap does not show port 22 as open I have tried to: - reboot the machine once more (no luck) - mount the filesystem and check /etc/ssh/sshd.conf (has not changed since working situation) - install virsh console, however this does not seem to work When I mount the fs directly using losetup the strange thing is that file dates seem to be frozen in /var/log/ around the time of the crash. If I look in /var/run/ I can see an sshd.pid, but the time is 6 hours ago (and numerous reboots).   • Reset element color to default stylesheet color (Jquery, Javascript)

    I need to be able to reset an input field back to its original color after it has been possibly changed via javascript to a different value. The problem is I do not want to hard code the value obviously in case the stylesheet changes. I would like to use the default color used on the page. What changes can be done to the code to remove the duplicity in structure?     our client needs to shortcuts to particular pages We need to redirect non existent urls like http://site.com/promotion1 to the actual URL similar to http://site.com/promotions/promotion1/tabid/799/language/en-AU/Default.aspx ... I've sent a list of appropriate DNN modules to our client but it may take them forever to get back to me. In the mean time they still submitting requests to us to create redirects for them. if there's no cost involved then i wont have to wait for them to get back to me. so I'm looking for a Quick and free way to enable the clients to set these up on this own.   • MPMoviePlayerController - streaming works on 3GS, not on anything pre-3GS

    I am having some serious issues and annoyances with MPMoviePlayerController. In my app you can watch trailers for some movies in .mov format. I have tested with a friend and had users report that it does not work on their device, which are all 3G. I have tested on my own, a 3GS and playback works fine. I have tried on a 1st gen iPhone and it doesn't work. So I am lead to believe it's a memory issue, and that it's simply stopping the playback and returning to the previous screen. Below is the code I use to launch the player, which is straight out of the MoviePlayer example from Apple. MPMoviePlayerController *mp = [[MPMoviePlayerController alloc] initWithContentURL:[NSURL URLWithString:trailerURL]]; if (mp) { self.moviePlayer = mp; [mp release]; [self.moviePlayer play]; } I have tried to check the NSError from the notifications, but the only thing I get is "An unknown playback error occurred" for both the localizedDescription and localizedRecoverySuggestion, making it impossible to figure out exactly why it's not working. I have seen many examples of people who just have issues with the movie player, but it's starting to annoy me that it sometimes seem to work fine and other times it just doesn't (again, appearing like a memory issue).     Hello, A DAS box is attached to my linux box using LSI SCSI HBA. Volume is properly detected on the linux box and filesystem is created using mkfs.ext2 /dev/sdc #No partition table I can not mount the volume using mount/dev/sdc /mnt/temp -t ext3 But I can mount it using mount /dev/sdc /mnt/temp -t ext3 -o loop Can anybody please tell me what "-o loop" option does internally?     I have a CWnd Derived object used in a dialog. I need to be able to drag it anywhere in the dialog. I have a code overriding OnNCHitTest for moving a dialog dragging it from a place other than the title bar. Is there any equivalent code to do the same to move this CWnd. The following code isnt working.   • Flash CS5 font is largest part of the SWF

    I'm transferring a project from CS4 to CS5 and (without any changes) my SWF file gets to be 10 times bigger. It was 7kb and now it's 77kb. I generated a size report and it looks like the font is taking up most of the space. I haven't changed settings. I'm not sure why font is taking up so much space. Is there a way around this? Here is my size report: Font Name Bytes Characters ----------------- ---------- ---------- _sans 12 MilkyWell 317 .blsu Calibri-Bold Bold 75960 %.0123456789 As you can see Calibri-Bold is taking up 75kb and I only have 12 characters in it.

A Google search returned nothing, so I was wondering if anyone here knew the code to turn on/off tethering?     Hello, I want to develop some crosstab also know as pivot reports in Asp.net with x-axis and y-axis being dynamics, allowing grouping by row and column, for example: have products in y-axis and date in x-axis having in body number of sells of a given product in a given date, if date in x-axis are years, i want subtotals for each month for a product (row) and subtotals of sells of all products in date (column) I know there are products available to build reports, but i am using Mysql, so Reporting Service is not an option. It's not necessary for the client build additional reports, i think the simplest solution is having a control to display such information and not using crystal report (which is not free) or something more complex, i want to know if is there an available free control to reach my goal. Well, does anybody know a control or have a different idea, thanks in advance.

    I have to write a simple demo for amount withdrawl from a joint Bank amount .Andy and Jen holds a joint bank account with number 123 . Suppose they have 100$ in their account .Jen and Andy are operating their account at the same time and both are trying to withdraw 90$ at the time being .My transaction Isolation is set to read-committed and both are able to withdraw money leaving the balance to -(minus)80$ although I have constraint that balance should never be less than 0. I am using hibernate .Is versioning only way to solve this problem or I should go for another Isolation level ?
