    Hi All, I am trying to automate installation of an application using Pywinauto.During the installation the last window shows some warning or error messages in few cases and later the system begins to restart.My objective is to capture the the Warning messages which is possible by app.top_window_()._ctrl_identifiers() np.Notepad.Edit.TypeKeys(a,with_spaces=True, with_tabs=True, with_newlines=True) This is returning a list which contains all the messages of the screen.     hELLO ! Here i have a simple class example with three fields of type class B and some other stuff. As you can see im listening on every child object change. Since i could need alot of properties of type class B i wonder if there is a way of shrinking the code. Creating a listener + a method for each seems like i will have ALOT of code. How would i fix this ... using a dictionary or something similar?     I am trying to create a representation of various types of card that inherit from a generic card class and which all contain references to their owning decks. I tried re-declaring them, as suggested here, but it still won't convert to the specific card type. The code I currently have is as such: public class Deck<T> : List<T> where T : Card { void Shuffle() { throw new NotImplementedException("Shuffle not yet implemented."); } } public class Card { public Deck<Card> OwningDeck { get; set; } } public class FooCard : Card { public Deck<FooCard> OwningDeck { get { return (Deck<FooCard>)base.OwningDeck; } set { OwningDeck = value; } } } The compile-time error I am getting: Error 2 Cannot convert type 'Game.Cards.Deck' to 'Game.Cards.Deck' And a warning suggesting I use a new operator to specify that the hiding is intentional. Would doing so be a violation of convention? Is there a better way? My question to stackoverflow is this: Can what I am trying to do be done elegantly in the .NET type system? If so, can some examples be provided?

    Consider I have the following models - class Team(db.Model): # say I have just 5 teams name = db.StringProperty() class Player(db.Model): # say I have thousands of players name = db.StringProperty() team = db.ReferenceProperty(Team, collection_name="player_set") Key name for each Team entity = 'team_' , and for each Player entity = 'player_' By some prior arrangement I have a Team entity's (key_name, name) mapping available to me. For example (team_01, United States Of America), (team_02, Russia) etc I have to show all the players and their teams on a page. One way of doing this would be - players = Player.all().fetch(1000) # This is 1 DB read for player in players: # This will iterate 1000 times self.response.out.write(player.name) # This is obviously not a DB read self.response.out.write(player.team.name) #This is a total of 1x1000 = 1000 DB reads That is a 1001 DB reads for a silly thing. The interesting part is that when I do a db.to_dict() on players, it shows that for every player in that list there is 'name' of the player and there is the 'key_name' of the team available too. So how can I do the below ?? players = Player.all().fetch(1000) # This is 1 DB read for player in players: # This will iterate 1000 times self.response.out.write(player.name) # This is obviously not a DB read self.response.out.write(team_list[player.<SOME WAY OF GETTING TEAM KEY NAME>]) # Here 'team_list' already has (key_name, name) for all 5 teams I have been struggling with this for a long time. Have read every available documentation. I could just hug the person that can help me here :-) Disclaimer: The above problem description is not a real scenario. It is a simplified arrangement that represents my problem exactly. I have run into it in a rater complex and big GAE appication.

  • Once an HTML document has a manifest (cache.manifest), how can you remove it?

    It seems that once you have a manifest entry, a la: <html manifest="cache.manifest"> Then that page (the master entry in the cache) will always be cached (at least by Safari) until the user does something to remove the cache, even if you later remove the manifest attribute from the html tag and update the manifest (by changing something within it), forcing the master entry to be reloaded along with everything else. In other words, if you have: index.html (with manifest defined) file1.js (referenced in manifest) file2.js (referenced in manifest) cache.manifest (lists the two js files) -- removing the manifest entry from index.html and modifying the manifest (so it gets expired by the browser and all content reloaded) will not stop this page from behaving as if it's still fully cached. If you view source on index.html you won't see the manifest listed anymore, but the browser will still request only the cache.manifest file, and unless that file's content is changed, no other changes to any files will be shown to the user. It seems like a pretty glaring bug, and it's present on iOS as well as Mac versions of Safari. Has anyone found a way of resetting the page and getting rid of the cache without requiring user intervention?

    I'm currently looking for some libraries which might help me during iPhone Development using Appcelerator Titanium. I've heard that since version 1.0 it isn't dependant on webkit anymore and it makes app-development more exiting of course, please correct me if i'm wrong. As many people out there i love Javascript Frameworks such as JQuery and Mootools much, but they were build specifically to do a great job within a browser and most of the functionality is not needed within the environment Titanium now provides (DOM-Manipulation etc). Is there any other small library of useful functions i can use for development? Thx in advance.

    Hi, I've got a collection of object which contains data as follows: FromTime Duration 2010-12-28 24.0000 2010-12-29 24.0000 2010-12-30 24.0000 2010-12-31 22.0000 2011-01-02 1.9167 2011-01-03 24.0000 2011-01-04 24.0000 2011-01-05 24.0000 2011-01-06 24.0000 2011-01-07 22.0000 2011-01-09 1.9167 2011-01-10 24.0000 In the "FromTime" column, there are data "gaps" i.e. 2011-01-01 and 2011-01-08 are "missing". So what I'd like to do is to loop through a range of dates (in this instance 2010-12-28 to 2011-01-10) and "fill in" the "missing" data with a duration of 0. As I've just started with LINQ, I feel that it should be "fairly" easy but I can't quite get it right. I'm reading the book "LINQ in Action" but feel that I'm still quite a way off before I can resolve this particular issue. So any help would be much appreciated. David
