  I am trying to use the Google Contacts API to connect to a user's contact information, on my Google apps domain. Generating an access_token using the gdata api's ContactsService clientlogin function while using the API key for my project works fine, but I would prefer to not store the user's credentials, and from the information I have found that method uses OAuth1.0 So, to use OAuth2.0 I have: Generated a Service Account in the developer's console for my project Granted access to the service account for the scope of https://www.google.com/m8/feeds/ in the Google apps domain admin panel Attempted to generate credentials using SignedJwtAssertionCredentials: credentials = SignedJwtAssertionCredentials( service_account_name=service_account_email, private_key=key_from_p12_file, scope='https://www.google.com/m8/feeds/', sub=user_email') The problem I am running into is that attempting to generate an access token using this method fails. It succeeds in generating the token when I remove the sub parameter, but then that token fails when I try to fetch the user's contacts. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

  I'm working on a WordPress 3.0 multi-site installation. Each new blog will use the same theme with slight modifications (a custom Thesis install, if it matters). I'm trying to automate the set-up process for each new blog as much as possible. To that end, I'd like to automatically add widgets to my custom sidebars and widget-enabled footers. It'd be even better if the widgets could have pre-set parameters/content, that I or the blog owner could then go into the Widgets panel and edit. I've searched high and low and haven't been able to figure out a way to make this work. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks so much!

  We noticed that on W7 with DPI set to 125% or to 100% with ("Use windows xp style dpi scaling") turned off, our fullscreen mode (which sets the client rect of our window = desktop rect of the main monitor) no longer hides the task bar like it does for other settings. (The setting can be found in the Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display section after clicking on the "Set custom text size (DPI)" link) I found the following interesting article: http://www.mathies.com/weblog/?p=908 So I set out to try to work around the bug in other means than manually hiding/restoring the taskbar visibility but so far I've failed and currently believe it's a bug in W7 (and possibly vista). The following applications also fail to work properly in fullscreen mode (the taskbar is still visible): * Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 * Microsoft Word 2007 * Adobe Reader 9.1.3 These apps work (probably by hiding the task bar through the WIN32 API): * Powerpoint Slide Show I also tried creating a brand new MFC-based app and use its "SetFullScreenMode()" functionality but it fails in the same way as all other apps on the list. • Where to put WPF specific code when using MVVM

  I'm just getting up to speed on MVVM, but all the examples I've seen so far are binding View controls to simple non-WPF specific data types such as strings and ints. However in our app I want to be able to set a button's border brush based on a number in the Model. At the moment, I translate the number into a brush in the ViewModel to keep the View XAML only, but is that right? I don't like putting WPF specific code in the ViewModel, but equally I don't like the idea of putting code-behind on my View panel. Which is the best way? Thanks

  I've got a form with a bunch of controls on it, and I wanted to iterate through all the controls on a certain panel and enable/disable them. I tried this: var component: TComponent; begin for component in myPanel do (component as TControl).Enabled := Value; end; But that did nothing. Turns out all components are in the form's component collection, not their parent object's. So does anyone know if there's any way to get all the controls inside a control?   Hi, I'm trying to create a virtual wiki but I already struggle with In your Class Editor, create a new class called "XWikiServerClass" Further reading in the DevGuide / DataModel shows that I'm not alone. I understand the words saying but I don't get the how-to as there is no option in the class-editior of creating new classes. Navigating to class editor shows an info box No class is defined in this wiki document. You can create one by adding properties from the panel on your right, or you can choose another class to edit from the list below. Ok, I added 'XWikiServerClass' and would have expected to be able to add a type class but that's not possible. I've tried a few properties but nothing shows up as a class in class editor.

• Unable to Hide Update Button in GridView Editing

  Hi, I am using commandfield edit button to edit the row of the gridview. But unable to perform the basics. This gridview is in update panel. When I press Edit button it shows UPDATE and CANCEL button but when I press UPDATE button it updates the DB but UPDATE button doesn't go back to EDIT one. While Cancel is working as it should. Like on pressing CANCEL it goes back to EDIT button, What I am doing worng. Thanks.

• How to limit the number of post values on UpdatePanel ?

  I have notice that the UpdatePanel post every field included on the form on every trigger. But in most of my cases I use 2-3 UpdatePanels at the same page, and each one is independent. When I click for update the one panel, then my page receive all the input data of the page (ok this is logical) but I won to read only this UpdatePanels data and act according, and not the other panels data. So I see that a lot of traffic is happened this way. So is there a way to say to one UpdatePanel - send only my input data, and not everything found on the page. ? Thank you in advanced.

  I am developing a theme in Wordpress. I have an issue where updates to my stylesheet (style.css) are not being reflected in the browser after FTPing a new version of the file to the server. Edits will only show up in the browser after waiting a long time, (15+ minutes). I have tried all the things mentioned here, which have not worked. These include: Making sure no caching plugins are installed in Wordpress Clearing the browser cache Trying from a different browser Making sure I am editing and accessing the correct file Checking webhost configuration panel for a caching plugin Something seems to be caching the stylesheet but I'm not sure how this might be so.

  I use System.Windows.Media.RenderCapability.Tier to show the current render mode within a diagnostics panel of my app. If I force the app (3.5sp1) to change the render-mode through the following code HwndSource hwndSource = PresentationSource.FromVisual(visual) as System.Windows.Interop.HwndSource; HwndTarget hwndTarget = hwndSource.CompositionTarget; hwndTarget.RenderMode = renderMode; neither System.Windows.Media.RenderCapability.TierChanged fires, nor has the System.Windows.Media.RenderCapability.Tier property changed. However the changes are applied to the app. If I look with Perforator, the render mode has been changed to the desired mode. Although I’ve found at many locations that System.Windows.Media.RenderCapability.Tier can be used to detect the current render state (also msdn, see this), it seems, System.Windows.Media.RenderCapability only gives information about the capabilities and not about the current mode. That makes also sense if I look at the name of the class. Is there another source to know how an actual wpf-content is rendered or am I doing something wrong?

I have recently come across some extremely bad (in my eyes) legacy code that lends itself to chaos (someHugeJavafile.js) which contains a lot of the logic used in many of the pages. Let's say for example that you have a Form that you need to complete. 1. Personal Details 2. Address Information 3. Little bit more about yourself You don't want to overload the person with all the fields at once, so you decide to split it up into steps. Do you create separate pages for Personal Details, Address Information and a Little bit more about yourself. Do you create controls for each and hide and show them on a postback or using some update panel? Do you use jQuery and do some checking to ensure that the person has completed the required fields for the step and show the new "section" by using .show()? How do you usually find the balance?

  I'm building a game in c# which allows you to script your own level, although I have come across a bit of a thought. I have a base class called "World" as an object. This was made with a simple: class World { However, when the user is scripting their level, all of the game objects will be contained in the world object. I want them to be able to do something on the lines of: World.ParentObjectName.ParentObjectProperty = "abc"; I know that the System.Windows.Forms.Panel and other classes are like containers and can have objects in them and be accessed in that kind of way... my question is how can I make a class which is like a container in which I can add objects to, and then access them with a World.ObjectName I have tried class World : System.Collections.CollectionBase, but with this method, I have to keep typing World.Item("ObjectName") Can anyone help? • User Drawn Controls: the MSN chat window

  I'm wondering about the famous MSN chat clients conversation windows! I'm sure there must be alot of different aspects but I'd like to focus on those little sliding panes. For instance where the pictures of the people in the conversation is displayed. When you click the collapse button the pictures dissapear and the panel gracefully slides in, and when you click it again to expand, it slides out and the pictures are smoothly faded in. How would one go about customly drawing a control in WinForms that had simmilar behaviour?

  Hi, I'm in the middle of writing my project and I have this problem: I try to write a library and I want to use it in my application. In library I have a form with menu strip, tool bar, list view, tree view and etc. Everything in library is protected. In my application I have created the form which inherit form the library. I can change and add new functionality to list view and tree view using designer panel in VS 2008 but I don't have access to menu strip and tool bar, even though they are protected. Why is that so? I will be thankful for some advice.

• Apache2 on Ubuntu Server w/ CGI, FastCGI, mod_php

  I've looked at various websites on configuring Apache with cgi and can't get mod_fcgid to work. It works fine using mod_php5, but I wanted to compare performance using cgi and fastcgi. I tried methods using FGCIWrapper among various other techniques and the only one that didn't result in an unlogged 403 or download of the file was using "Action application/x-httpd-php /usr/bin/php-cgi" When trying to configure mod_fcgid the file normally just started a download of an unprocessed file. I used wget to check headers and type was "application/x-httpd-php" At one point I was able to get to the page, but it resulted in a 403, which was listed in access.log, but not error.log (I was told it should be in there too) I tried to get it working on a fresh install of Ubuntu Server 10.04 LTS and 10.10 and had the same results on both, so I'm not doing something correctly in terms of configuration. I tried virtualmin and could only get mod_php to work. The page just prompted a download when selecting cgi or fcgi from the control panel.

I have a user control which has a textbox in it and a getValue() method that returns the value of the textbox. After user selects the related item I load the control and add to a panel using loadControl method. User enters some text. After a postback I want to keep the user control and the user input in the same state before . Hope i could be clear. Thanks in advanced
