  • Exchange 2010 install locks out high level accounts

    - by tearman
Basically, when we installed Exchange 2010 alongside our Exchange 2003 server (we assume), this is what caused our problem. The Exchange 2010 server is not active, just running on the domain. What's actually going on is that user groups like Enterprise Admins are getting a single deny flag on Full Control over mailboxes currently residing on the Exchange 2003 server which is preventing any of us from making changes. It says these permissions are inherited from the Parent Object, but we have no idea which one that is. Any idea on how to go about fixing this?

  • Recommendations for managing dedicated server DNS

    - by KP Overflow
I've rented a dedicated server for several years with a number of domains. I've got a coding background so am comfortable with that side of the tech, but I hate that I still don't truly understand DNS settings. Example: My provider (hostgator) just told me that my parent nameservers are not correctly configured as there is no A record for my primary nameserver. What book/link/tutorial should I read to go from kind of understanding that comment to really understanding it & knowing exactly what I need to do to fix it rather than trial & error which is what I usually do. Thanks BTW I'm using a WHM/cpanel linux setup at hostgator but am eager to learn the fundamentals.

  • Symfony2: validate an object that is not an entity

    - by Marronsuisse
I am using CraueFormFlowBundle to have a multiple page form, and am trying to do some validation on some of the fields but can't figure out how to do this. The object that needs to be validated isn't an Entity, which is causing me trouble. I tried adding a collectionConstraint in the getDefaultOption function of my form type class, but this doesn't work as I get the "Expected argument of type array or Traversable and ArrayAccess" error. I tried with annotations in my object class, but they don't seem to be taken into account. Are annotations taken into account if the class isn't an entity? (i set enable_annotations to true) Anyway, what is the proper way to do this? Basically, I just want to validate that "age" is an integer... class PoemDataCollectorFormType extends AbstractType { public function buildForm(FormBuilder $builder, array $options) { switch ($options['flowStep']) { case 6: $builder->add('msgCategory', 'hidden', array( )); $builder->add('msgFIB','text', array( 'required' => false, )); $builder->add('age', 'integer', array( 'required' => false, )); break; } } public function getDefaultOptions(array $options) { $options = parent::getDefaultOptions($options); $options['flowStep'] = 1; $options['data_class'] = 'YOP\YourOwnPoetBundle\PoemBuilder\PoemDataCollector'; $options['intention'] = 'my_secret_key'; return $options; } } EDIT: add code, handle validation with annotations As Cyprian, I was pretty sure that using annotations should work, however it doesn't... Here is how I try: In my Controller: public function collectPoemDataAction() { $collector = $this->get('yop.poem.datacollector'); $flow = $this->get('yop.form.flow.poemDataCollector'); $flow->bind($collector); $form = $flow->createForm($collector); if ($flow->isValid($form)) { .... } } In my PoemDataCollector class, which is my data class (service yop.poem.datacollector): class PoemDataCollector { /** * @Assert\Type(type="integer", message="Age should be a number") */ private $age; } EDIT2: Here is the services implementation: The data class (PoemDataCollector) seems to be linked to the flow class and not to the form.. Is that why there is no validation? <service id="yop.poem.datacollector" class="YOP\YourOwnPoetBundle\PoemBuilder\PoemDataCollector"> </service> <service id="yop.form.poemDataCollector" class="YOP\YourOwnPoetBundle\Form\Type\PoemDataCollectorFormType"> <tag name="form.type" alias="poemDataCollector" /> </service> <service id="yop.form.flow.poemDataCollector" class="YOP\YourOwnPoetBundle\Form\PoemDataCollectorFlow" parent="craue.form.flow" scope="request"> <call method="setFormType"> <argument type="service" id="yop.form.poemDataCollector" /> </call> </service> How can I do the validation while respecting the craueFormFlowBundle guidelines? The guidelines state: Validation groups To validate the form data class a step-based validation group is passed to the form type. By default, if getName() of the form type returns registerUser, such a group is named flow_registerUser_step1 for the first step. Where should I state my constraint to use those validation groups..? I tried: YOP\YourOwnPoetBundle\PoemBuilder\Form\Type\PoemDataCollectorFormType: properties: name: - MinLength: { limit: 5, message: "Your name must have at least {{ limit }} characters.", groups: [flow_poemDataCollector_step1] } sex: - Type: type: integer message: Please input a number groups: [flow_poemDataCollector_step6] But it is not taken into acount.

  • android Xml-List view with filter

    - by harisali
Hi, android is new for me. I am trying to develop a program on 1.5 platform but still in progress, plz guide me. I have some information in following format "item1","description1" "item2","description2" "item3","description3" "item4","description4" . . . . I want to show them on screen, I dont know which is recommended way to do this. After google I found 2 method. but I failed to successfully implement any of one. Method 1 I break both columns data into 2 different arrays, then populate listactivity with array of column 1, enable filter & on clicked event I want to raise alert which should show Text clicked in tilte & desc from 2nd array as msg body based on position. But here is problem if using filter index becomes reinitialize :-(, and there didnot find another way to get text of that row. public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); //setContentView(R.layout.main); setListAdapter(new ArrayAdapter<String>(this, android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1, Names)); getListView().setTextFilterEnabled(true); } public void onListItemClick(ListView parent, View v, int position, long id) { Builder builder = new AlertDialog.Builder(this); builder.setTitle(Names[position]); builder.setMessage(description[position] + " -> " + position ); builder.setPositiveButton("ok", null); builder.show(); } <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" > <TextView android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="@string/hello" /> </LinearLayout> its not picking right item from position if filter used :-(, plz guide Can you share source code of this Method B Here I tried to generate list row from XML , but giving error that 1.5 jar file didnot allow modification :-( public View getView(int position, View convertView, ViewGroup parent) { /* ViewInflate inflater=context.getViewInflate(); View row=inflater.inflate(R.layout.row, null, null); */ View row = (View) convertView; if (row==null) { LayoutInflater inflater=context.getLayoutInflater(); // LayoutInflater inflater = (LayoutInflater) context.getSystemService(context.LAYOUT_INFLATER_SERVICE); row = inflater.inflate(R.layout.row,null); } TextView label=(TextView)row.findViewById(R.id.label); label.setText(items[position]); TextView description=(TextView)row.findViewById(R.id.description); description.setText(items[position]); // ImageView icon=(ImageView)row.findViewById(R.id.icon); // icon.setImageResource(R.drawable.delete); return(row); } Plz suggest what is a right way to acconplish this, so app can show desc of item , has filter too. Plz share If you have any shouce code for this

  • Spawned Process Terminated in GP Startup Script

    - by Charles Gargent
I have a Group Policy Startup Script which runs synchronously. I now need this script to run one process asynchronously. So far I have managed to get the spawned process running via the command below, however once the rest of the script finishes and the GP Startup Script "phase" finishes and the logon prompt is shown, my spawned process is terminated. Is there any way to have this process continue beyond the Startup Script phase? cmd /c start spawned.bat I guess the reason why it terminates is because the process was launched by the Startup Script process and when the parent process terminates so do its children. PS I need it to be launched via the exisitng script.

  • On RouterOS, how will transparent proxying (with DNAT) affect reporting of netflows?

    - by Tim
I have a box running Mikrotik RouterOS, which is set up to do transparent web proxying, as described here. In short, this means that I have a firewall rule for destination NAT causing any port 80 traffic to get redirected to port 8080 on the router, which is received by the Mikrotik local web proxy. The local web proxy then makes the web request on the client's behalf, in this case to a parent web proxy server (which in turn does the real web request). My question is, how will this two-part process get reported in the logging of traffic flow information (netflows)? Looking at the logged information, what I seem to be seeing is this: One flow recorded from client machine (private IP) to remote proxy (8080) Another flow recorded from router to remote proxy (8080) The original request that the client made to port 80 isn't recorded. I want to write code to analyse traffic usage, so I want to be sure I'm not losing information if I discard the latter of these.

  • Cannot Expand/Collapse tasks in Microsoft Project 2010

    - by Dean
I opened an existing Microsoft Project file today and was unable to expand/collapse the subtasks use the cursor and the '+/-' signs beside the parent tasks. I am able to expand and collapse using the 'View-Outline' ribbon icon. However when I attempt to do this using the mouse on specific tasks, my cursor will not perform the task. My cursor is a 'white cross' when I need it to be an 'arrow'. I'm assuming this is something minor that I'm missing. Any assistance appreciated. Thanks

  • Convert VM running on Linux hypervisor to OVF/VMDK

    - by blade
Hi, I have a bunch of VMs on a Linux hypervisor (cloudsigma.com to be precised). I want to convert these to deploy to an ESX hypervisor (opsource cloud server), but need to create an ovf with the vmdk. I don't have access to the hypervisor of either service but opsource allow me to import ovf/vmdk so this is possible. What tool can create an ovf (With vmdk) of a Windows OS? I am not sure if VCenter Converter would work as it requires access to the hypervisor, if I remember correctly. I am hoping for something like vhd2disk which will create a .vhd of the currently running, parent Windows OS on a system. Thanks

  • Save a single web page (with background images) with Wget

    - by mikael
I want to use Wget to save single web pages (not recursively, not whole sites) for reference. Much like Firefox's "Web Page, complete". My first problem is: I can't get Wget to save background images specified in the CSS. Even if it did save the background image files I don't think --convert-links would convert the background-image URLs in the CSS file to point to the locally saved background images. Firefox has the same problem. My second problem is: If there are images on the page I want to save that are hosted on another server (like ads) these wont be included. --span-hosts doesn't seem to solve that problem with the line below. I'm using: wget --no-parent --timestamping --convert-links --page-requisites --no-directories --no-host-directories -erobots=off http://domain.tld/webpage.html

  • Boot to VHD backup plan

    - by Josh Barker
I have a machine that I just reinstalled Windows and all of my applications onto... what a chore that is. I want to totally and completely avoid this from now on by creating an image. My first thought was to see if it possible to copy a VHD file when you are booted into it since I am using Windows 7 Ultimate as boot-to-vhd (without a parent machine). Is this possible and if so, how could I accomplish this? Keep in mind, this is my personal machine and I'm trying to keep things inexpensive (a good script would work). Thanks, Josh

  • Configuring squid as reverse proxy

  • wxPthon problems with Wrapping StaticText

    - by Scott B
Hello. I am having an issue with wxPython. A simplified version of the code is posted below (white space, comments, etc removed to reduce size - but the general format to my program is kept roughly the same). When I run the script, the static text correctly wraps as it should, but the other items in the panel do not move down (they act as if the statictext is only one line and thus not everything is visible). If I manually resize the window/frame, even just a tiny amount, everything gets corrected and displays as it is should. I took screen shots to show this behavior, but I just created this account and thus don't have the required 10 reputation points to be allowed to post pictures. Why does it not display correctly to begin with? I've tried all sorts of combination's of GetParent().Refresh() or Update() and GetTopLevelParent().Update() or Refresh(). I've tried everything I can think of but cannot get it to display correctly without manually resizing the frame/window. Once re-sized, it works exactly as I want it to. Information: Windows XP Python 2.5.2 wxPython 2.8.11.0 (msw-unicode) Any suggestions? Thanks! • Can't serve files without extension because they "appear to be script" on IIS7.5

    - by madd0
I created a certain number of static JSON files with no extension in a subfolder of my site. I want to use them for tests. The problem is that IIS is refusing to serve them because : HTTP Error 404.17 - Not Found The requested content appears to be script and will not be served by the static file handler. The folder is a subfolder of an ASP.NET application and I can't create an application just for it, neither can I change the parent application's application pool. Actually, I don't have access to the IIS configuration other than through the web.config file in the folder in question. I assume there must be a way to get a web server to serve static files, right?

  • Can't kill process TGitCache.exe

    - by ProfKaos
Sometimes, I suspect when I open a music folder during the right moon phase and during a leap microsecond, this process crashes and pops up an error reporting dialogue. I decline to report the error, because that also fails by now, and choose Exit. Exit just delays the re-appearance of the error reporting dialogue for about 2 seconds. If I try and kill the process using SysInternals' Process Explorer the process is just restarted, only to crash again. So, I'm pretty sure another process, probably a service because TGitCache doesn't have a parent process and no other Git processes are visible, is keeping tabs on this process and restarting it if it dies. This is cruel and inhuman, but how can I find which nanny process is prolonging the agony?

  • Qt QAbstractButton setDown interferes with grabMouse

    - by edA-qa mort-ora-y
    I have some weird behaviour in Qt that seems like a defect. I'd like to know if anybody has a good workaround. I have a popup widget that contains many buttons in it. The user activates the popup by pressing the mouse button down. The popup widget calls grabMouse when shown. It gets all the mouse events. As it rolls over a button it calls setDown(true) on the button. Now however, when the mouse button is released the popup widget does not get the mouseReleaseEvent, that goes to the button. That is, calling setDown(true) on a button causes the button to steal mouse events, bypassing the grabMouse in the popup widget. I've looked at the source code for setDown but I can't see anything there that would do it directly. I also notice however that sometimes a button gets a hover event, sometimes not. I would assume it would never get those events when the mouse is grabbed. //g++ -o grab_lost grab_lost.cpp -lQtCore -lQtGui -I /usr/include/qt4/ -I /usr/include/qt4/QtCore -I /usr/include/qt4/QtGui /** Demonstrates the defect of losing the mouse. Run the program and: 1. Press mouse anywhere 2. release in purple block (not on X) 3. Release message written (GrabLost receives the mouseReleaseEvent) For defect: 1. Pree mouse anywhere 2. Release inside the X button 3. button is clicked, no release message (GrabLost does not get the mouseReleaseEvent) */ #include <QWidget> #include <QPushButton> #include <QApplication> #include <QMouseEvent> #include <QPainter> class GrabLost : public QWidget { QPushButton * btn; public: GrabLost( QWidget * parent = 0) : QWidget( parent, Qt::Popup ) { btn = new QPushButton( "X", this ); setMouseTracking( true ); } protected: void showEvent( QShowEvent * ev ) { QWidget::showEvent( ev ); grabMouse(); } void closeEvent( QCloseEvent * ev ) { releaseMouse(); QWidget::closeEvent( ev ); } void hideEvent( QHideEvent * ev ) { releaseMouse(); QWidget::hideEvent( ev ); } void mouseReleaseEvent( QMouseEvent * ev ) { qDebug( "mouseRelease" ); close(); } void mouseMoveEvent( QMouseEvent * ev ) { QWidget * w = childAt( ev->pos() ); bool ours = dynamic_cast<QPushButton*>( w ) == btn; btn->setDown( ours ); } void paintEvent( QPaintEvent * ev ) { //just to show where the widget is QPainter pt( this ); pt.setPen( QColor( 0,0,0 ) ); pt.setBrush( QColor( 128,0,128) ); pt.drawRect( 0, 0, size().width(), size().height() ); } }; class GrabMe : public QWidget { protected: void mousePressEvent( QMouseEvent * ev ) { GrabLost * gl = new GrabLost(); gl->resize( 100, 100 ); QPoint at( mapToGlobal( ev->pos() ) ); gl->move( at.x() - 50, at.y() - 50 ); gl->show(); } }; int main( int argc, char** argv ) { QApplication app( argc, argv ); GrabMe * gm = new GrabMe(); gm->move( 100, 100 ); gm->resize( 300, 300 ); gm->show(); app.exec(); return 0; }

  • Confusion on C++ Python extensions. Things like getting C++ values for python values.

    - by Matthew Mitchell
    I'm wanted to convert some of my python code to C++ for speed but it's not as easy as simply making a C++ function and making a few function calls. I have no idea how to get a C++ integer from a python integer object. I have an integer which is an attribute of an object that I want to use. I also have integers which are inside a list in the object which I need to use. I wanted to test making a C++ extension with this function: def setup_framebuffer(surface,flip=False): #Create texture if not done already if surface.texture is None: create_texture(surface) #Render child to parent if surface.frame_buffer is None: surface.frame_buffer = glGenFramebuffersEXT(1) glBindFramebufferEXT(GL_FRAMEBUFFER_EXT, c_uint(int(surface.frame_buffer))) glFramebufferTexture2DEXT(GL_FRAMEBUFFER_EXT, GL_COLOR_ATTACHMENT0_EXT, GL_TEXTURE_2D, surface.texture, 0) glPushAttrib(GL_VIEWPORT_BIT) glViewport(0,0,surface._scale[0],surface._scale[1]) glMatrixMode(GL_PROJECTION) glLoadIdentity() #Load the projection matrix if flip: gluOrtho2D(0,surface._scale[0],surface._scale[1],0) else: gluOrtho2D(0,surface._scale[0],0,surface._scale[1]) That function calls create_texture, so I will have to pass that function to the C++ function which I will do with the third argument. This is what I have so far, while trying to follow information on the python documentation: #include <Python.h> #include <GL/gl.h> static PyMethodDef SpamMethods[] = { ... {"setup_framebuffer", setup_framebuffer, METH_VARARGS,"Loads a texture from a Surface object to the OpenGL framebuffer."}, ... {NULL, NULL, 0, NULL} /* Sentinel */ }; static PyObject * setup_framebuffer(PyObject *self, PyObject *args){ bool flip; PyObject *create_texture, *arg_list,*pyflip,*frame_buffer_id; if (!PyArg_ParseTuple(args, "OOO", &surface,&pyflip,&create_texture)){ return NULL; } if (PyObject_IsTrue(pyflip) == 1){ flip = true; }else{ flip = false; } Py_XINCREF(create_texture); //Create texture if not done already if(texture == NULL){ arglist = Py_BuildValue("(O)", surface) result = PyEval_CallObject(create_texture, arglist); Py_DECREF(arglist); if (result == NULL){ return NULL; } Py_DECREF(result); } Py_XDECREF(create_texture); //Render child to parent frame_buffer_id = PyObject_GetAttr(surface, Py_BuildValue("s","frame_buffer")) if(surface.frame_buffer == NULL){ glGenFramebuffersEXT(1,frame_buffer_id); } glBindFramebufferEXT(GL_FRAMEBUFFER_EXT, surface.frame_buffer)); glFramebufferTexture2DEXT(GL_FRAMEBUFFER_EXT, GL_COLOR_ATTACHMENT0_EXT, GL_TEXTURE_2D, surface.texture, 0); glPushAttrib(GL_VIEWPORT_BIT); glViewport(0,0,surface._scale[0],surface._scale[1]); glMatrixMode(GL_PROJECTION); glLoadIdentity(); //Load the projection matrix if (flip){ gluOrtho2D(0,surface._scale[0],surface._scale[1],0); }else{ gluOrtho2D(0,surface._scale[0],0,surface._scale[1]); } Py_INCREF(Py_None); return Py_None; } PyMODINIT_FUNC initcscalelib(void){ PyObject *module; module = Py_InitModule("cscalelib", Methods); if (m == NULL){ return; } } int main(int argc, char *argv[]){ /* Pass argv[0] to the Python interpreter */ Py_SetProgramName(argv[0]); /* Initialize the Python interpreter.   • Restricting access to a subdirectory on linux

    - by David
I'm looking for a way to make a directory accessible only to its parent directories. That is, suppose you have two directories, A and B, at the same level in the file hierarchy. Now suppose that you have a directory A' which is a subdirectory of A. I'd like to enforce that A is able to access the contents of A' but B is not. My problem is that I'd like to use a library (directory A) which builds on top of a legacy version of another library (directory A'). At the same time, I want to be able to use the newest version of this legacy library (directory B). I want to make sure that people aren't somehow using library A and linking against new library B by enforcing that library A must use library A'. I could just link A against library B, but then I'm risking compatibility.

  • Are all SFP+ tranceivers usable for FEX between Nexus 5000 and Nexus 2000?

    - by Alain O'Dea
I am looking at building a network with Nexus 5000 parent switches and Nexus 2000 fabric extenders. The mystery at the moment is what kind of SFP+ tranceivers are required for cross-connecting racks. Right now I am considering FET-10G, but I am not sure that 100m is long enough given the separation between racks is potentially very large since it is a rented rack environment. Are all SFP+ tranceivers usable for FEX between Nexus 5000 and Nexus 2000? Specifically, can SFP-10G-SR transceivers be used for longer distance FEX?

  • when importing multiple javascript files the javascript seems to break

Here is the code I am using: <link href="inc/css/style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <link rel="stylesheet" href="inc/css/lightbox.css" type="text/css" media="screen" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="inc/js/prototype.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="inc/js/scriptaculous.js?load=effects"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="inc/js/lightbox.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- function MM_swapImgRestore() { //v3.0 var i,x,a=document.MM_sr; for(i=0;a&&i<a.length&&(x=a[i])&&x.oSrc;i++) x.src=x.oSrc; } function MM_preloadImages() { //v3.0 var d=document; if(d.images){ if(!d.MM_p) d.MM_p=new Array(); var i,j=d.MM_p.length,a=MM_preloadImages.arguments; for(i=0; i<a.length; i++) if (a[i].indexOf("#")!=0){ d.MM_p[j]=new Image; d.MM_p[j++].src=a[i];}} } function MM_findObj(n, d) { //v4.01 var p,i,x; if(!d) d=document; if((p=n.indexOf("?"))>0&&parent.frames.length) { d=parent.frames[n.substring(p+1)].document; n=n.substring(0,p);} if(!(x=d[n])&&d.all) x=d.all[n]; for (i=0;!x&&i<d.forms.length;i++) x=d.forms[i][n]; for(i=0;!x&&d.layers&&i<d.layers.length;i++) x=MM_findObj(n,d.layers[i].document); if(!x && d.getElementById) x=d.getElementById(n); return x; } function MM_swapImage() { //v3.0 var i,j=0,x,a=MM_swapImage.arguments; document.MM_sr=new Array; for(i=0;i<(a.length-2);i+=3) if ((x=MM_findObj(a[i]))!=null){document.MM_sr[j++]=x; if(!x.oSrc) x.oSrc=x.src; x.src=a[i+2];} } </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="inc/js/jquery-1.3.2.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="inc/js/jquery.slideshow.lite-0.4.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"> $(document).ready(function(){ $("#slideshow2").slideshow({ pauseSeconds: 6, height: 196 }); }); </script> The first files are used for a lightbox and other functions and the second ones are used for a slideshow. Depending on the order one or the other will work, but never both at the same time. What am I doing wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

  • What software is available to keep track of hundreds of servers?

    - by djangofan
What good software is available (free or not free) to help me keep track of information relating to hundreds of servers, their relationships to each other (parent/child, category, type), and information on connecting to them, as well as possibly showing a picture or grid of some kind that allows me to report these relationships and key information to my supervisor. I am trying to avoid the "spreadsheet solution" or "visio solution" because I want to share this information and make changes with other persons in my server team. In other words, the solution I am looking for is a cross between a spreadsheet solution and a visio solution, providing both graphing and configuration information WITHOUT monitoring, and in a consistent format.

  • Can I prevent Internet Explorer 8 from running scripts until the page is loaded?

    - by Tom W
When trying to veiw a number of different websites in IE8, I get the following error message: HTML Parsing Error: Unable to modify the parent container element before the child element is closed (KB927917) On investigating the error message, it appears the script is trying to modify parts of the page before it is fully loaded. Is there a setting in IE8 I can change to prevent scripts from running until the page is fully loaded? EDIT: The sites in question used to work just fine, until I had to re-install IE8 for a seperate issue. Then they stopped working.

  • MS project publishing to TFS web portal display

    - by denis bastarache
So, when we initially created our MPP schedule, I made use of indends / subordinates to break down the project by the various stages of the lifecycle, which is fine... no issues there... But now that I'm trying to publish this over to TFS display, it'll only pick up the actual "action items / sub-tasks" seeing as I have resource allocation specified. So for example I have an "Analysis" phase with a few items underneath, and "System Requirements" phase with the same items, so when I publish these to TFS, it won't display the "Parent" distinction between items, so both "Tasks" instances are being published in TFS under the exact same name... So, if I can't do this Automatically, I'll likely have edit each tasks with "Analysis - Item 1", "Analysis - item 2", "SRD - Item 1", "SRD - item 2"... is there a way to do this automatically, or will have to go the manual route??

  • In SharePoint, What is the best way to move a subsite to its own site collection?

    - by user7862
I am currently running a SharePoint 2007 Farm. I have a subsite (http://server/sites/hr/finance) that I wish to move to its own site collection (http://server/sites/finance). I exported the subsite using stsadm -o export. Then I created the new site collection (http://server/sites/finance). Then I attempted to import the site using stsadm -o import. However, I'm getting the following error: "The file cannot be imported because its parent web does not exist" I am running as the Site Collection administrator.

  • Linux: Automatically switch to external monitor (VGA)

    - by peoro
I've got an eeePC with a really tiny monitor, so whenever I go (home, faculty, parent's home, friend's home, ...) I attach it to any external monitor I can find. If it matters my system is like this: Archlinux Linux 2.6.36 Xorg 7.6 X server 1.9.2 Intel Corporation Mobile 945GME Express Integrated Graphics Controller (fully accelerated by intel modules) When I boot up the system, it uses the integrated monitor (LVDS1) only, and I have to manually manually switch to the external monitor (VGA1) using xrandr. Is it possible to configure my Xorg (or whatever) so that it uses the VGA1 output if present?

  • Add entire 300 GB filesystem to Git Annex repository?

    - by Ryan Lester
By default, I get an error that I have too many open files from the process. If I lift the limit manually, I get an error that I'm out of memory. For whatever reason, it seems that Git Annex in its current state is not optimised for this sort of task (adding thousands of files to a repository at once). As a possible solution, my next thought was to do something like: cd / find . -type d | git annex add --$NONRECURSIVELY find . -type f | git annex add # Need to add parent directories of each file first or adding files fails The problem with this solution is that there doesn't seem from the documentation to be a way to non-recursively add a directory in Git Annex. Is there something I'm missing or a workaround for this? If my proposed solution is a dead end, are there other ways that people have solved this problem?
