• Linq to SQL Error with Many-to-Many table

  I am getting the following error with linq-to-sql when I try to access a many-to-many collection: Members 'Int32 XXX' and 'Int32 YYY' both marked as IsPrimaryKey and IsDbGenerated. The statement is true, in that both of those columns are primary key integers with identity insert. The table I am trying to access has a foreign key to both YYY and ZZZ, and then ZZZ has a foreign key to XXX. There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with my data structure. I tried setting "Child Property" to false on the ZZZ-YYY relationship, but it didn't change anything.

But what I want, is to get duplicates with the same e-mails and names. I want to get Tom, Tom. I made a mistake, and allowed to insert duplicate name and e-mail values. Now I need to remove/change the duplicates. But I need to find them first.

  How do I get Wix to include a CustomTable with no rows in the final MSI? If I simply define the table like this <CustomTable Id="MyTable"> <Column Id="Id" Type="string" Category="Identifier" PrimaryKey="yes"/> <Column Id="Root" Type="string"/> <Column Id="Key" Type="string"/> <Column Id="Name" Type="string"/> </CustomTable> Wix omits it from the final output. My CustomAction is expecting it to be there, so that it can add rows to it during execution. Any ideas?

  I have a column Definition for each colume that extends AbstractColumnDefinition these columns are put in a DefaultTableDefinition PART OF a PagingScrollTable example: NAME | SIZE | RES | DELETE | this style (AT THE END OF THE PAGE ) is added to the column names if you notice all of them are with a cursor pointer , meaning a hand shows up when i hover above each one. I want to remove the cursor for some cells in the header like delete. HOW DO YOU set/add/remove a style on a particular cell of the header table of a PagingScrollTable? • Detect if a table contains a column in Android/sqlite

  So I have an app on the market, and with an update I want to add some columns to the database. No problems so far. But I want to detect if the database in use is missing these columns, and add them if this is the case. I need this to be done dynamically and not just after the update to the new version, because the application is supposed to still be able to import older databases. Normally I would be able to use the PRAGMA query, but Im not sure how to do this with Android. I cant use execSQL since it is a query, and I cant figure out how to use PRAGMA with the query()-function. Ofcourse I could just catch exceptions and then add the column, or always add the columns to each table before I start to work with it, but that is not a neat solution. Cheers,

• Hiding Table Rows

  I have a table that I'm using to show details from the line items of a quote. I want to hide a particular row depending on the value of the field in it. The expression I've tried is to set the row visibility to: =IIF(isnothing(First(Fields!NEW_PRICEBREAKS.Value, "QuoteDetail")),true,false) When I run the query from the dataset "Null" returns for NEW_PRICEBREAKS for most of the records. Also, when I expanded the row with another column with this expression: =IIF(isnothing(First(Fields!NEW_PRICEBREAKS.Value, "QuoteDetail")),"is nothing","not nothing") I see "not nothing" repeated over and over again. I've attempted to use TRIM inside of the isnothing to remove spaces and it still doesn't work. Also, the sql data type for NEW_PRICEBREAKS is nvarchar(MAX). Any ideas how I can suppress this row correctly?

• iPhone Advanced table view cells example

  I have been going through and re-creating Apple's "Advanced Table View Cells" example to better understand everything. I have done everything, but somehow missed one detail and I can't figure it out. If you launch their example (http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/samplecode/AdvancedTableViewCells/Introduction/Intro.html) and open up the RootViewController.xib file, they have a "tableView" outlet on the inspector that is linked to File's Owner. For whatever reason, I can't get that to show up on my version. My code is almost verbatim of Apple's, so what am I missing? Did I not declare that somewhere or doesn't that get taken from the RootViewController.m file?

  Hi there! I have an issue with the background image of button which is dependent of button state. I have a button inside customized table view cell and i have set different images for button's different states. Please look into the code below. [btnNow setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"now_norm.png"] forState:UIControlStateNormal]; [btnNow setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"now_focus.png"] forState:UIControlStateHighlighted]; Whenever i tap on the actual button this works great but if i tap on area outside of button but which is still inside that same cell then this button changes its background image from UIControlStateNormal to UIControlStateHighlighted. If i remove background image from UIControlStateHighlighted state then this issue doesn't exists but i need pressed state of the button. Please help me out. Thanks in advance! Vivek Dandage.

  Coins with different value are spread in circle around a round table . We can choose any coin such that for any two adjacent pair of coins , atleast one must be selected (both maybe selected too) . In such condition we have to find minimum possible value of coins selected . I have to respect time complexity so instead of using naive recursive bruteforce , i tried doing it using dynamic programming . But i get Wrong Answer - my algorithm is incorrect . If someone could suggest an algorithm to do it dynamically , i could code myself in c++ . Also maximum number of coins is 10^6 , so i think O(n) solution exists .

I already have modified the source code and added the new fields to Error.cs and other fields but I don't know but when I assign an HttpContext.Current.Session["MyVar"].tostring() value to my field in the constructor it stops logging exceptions and does not log any exception. I just need to get the value of the session variable is there other way for this. I read a post which he added fields for the email but it does not say where exactly should I get the session value.

  Hello all I'm having a requirement where i've to save a dataset which has multiple tables in it in a sql table XML column by converting into an XML. The problem is that in some cases the dataset grows extremely huge and i get OutOfMemoryException. What i basically do is that i convert the dataset into an xml file and save it in the local disk and then load the XML again and send it as a stored procedure parameter. But when i write the dataset xml into the disk the file sizes over 700 Mb and when i load it in the XMLDocument object in memory i get OutOfMemoryException. How can get the dataset xml without saving it in a file and re-reading it again? Thank You NLV

  Hey All, I have just taken over a project for a client and the database schema is in a total mess. I would like to rename a load of fields make it a relationship database. But doing this will be a painstaking process as they have an API running of it also. So the idea would be to create a new database and start re-writing the code to use this instead. But I need a way to keep these tables in sync during this process. Would you agree that I should use MYSQL EVENT's to keep updating the new table on Inserts / updates & deletes??   Hey all- I have a MySQL table that defines values for a specific customer type. | CustomerType | Key Field 1 | Key Field 2 | Value | Each customer type has 10 values associated with it (based on the other two key fields). I am creating a new customer type (TypeB) that is exactly the same as another customer type (TypeA). I want to insert "TypeB" as the CustomerType but then just copy the values from TypeA's rows for the other three fields. Is there an SQL insert statement to make this happen? Somthing like: insert into customers(customer_type, key1, key2, value) values "TypeB" union select key1, key2, value from customers where customer_type = "TypeA" Thanks- Jonathan

After the field is updated a save button must be clicked to call the proper .ajax method to update the database. But how can I compare the previous value to the current value on a button press? Since i'm not using the onblur property where I could have saved the old value and passed it to the update function.

  Hi there, am using jquery tablesorter plugin and in my "country" column i got special characters like this: Índia. The fact is that when i hit the header of the column to sort it, it puts my "Índia" at the end of the column. I guess the nav sees the Í instead of the real "I" with an accent. Any clue on how to make it work even with accents ?   Hi all. Basically I have an xml feed from an offsite server. The xml feed has one parameter ?value=n now N can only be between 1 and 30 What ever value i pick, there will always be 4000 rows returned from the XML file. My script will call this xml file 30 times for each value once a day. So thats 120000 rows. I will be doing quite complicated queries on these rows. But the main thing is I will always filter by value first so SELECT * WHERE value = 'N' etc. That will ALWAYS be used. Now is it better to have one table where all 120k rows are stored? or 30 tables were 4k rows are stored? EDIT: the SQL database in question will be MySQL

  Hey, I have a Ruby on Rails application setup like so: User Model has_and_belongs_to_many :roles Role Model has_many :transactions has_and_belongs_to_many :users Transaction Model belongs_to :role This means that a join table is used called roles_users and it also means that a user can only see the transactions that have been assigned to them through roles, usage example: user = User.find(1) transactions = user.roles.first.transactions This will return the transactions which are associated with the first role assigned to the user. If a user has 2 roles assigned to them, at the moment to get the transactions associated with the second role I would do: transactions = user.roles.last.transactions I am basically trying to figure out a way to setup an association so I can grab the user's transactions via something like this based on the roles defined in the association between the user and roles: user = User.find(1) transactions = user.transactions I am not sure if this is possible? I hope you understand what I am trying to do.

  Hello, i have a database fill with information of the users who use my webpage. The table as many MySql tables have the ID parameters who is autoincrement. The issue is that when somebody eliminate his account from the site, in the database remain a jump in the sequence that i dont want cuz i have a script who fail if find some jump in the ID. Ex. ID Name PASS 1 Jhon 1234 2 Max 2233 3 Jorge 2232 If Max get out and a new user go in, this is what will happend. ID Name PASS 1 Jhon 1234 4 NewU 1133 3 Jorge 2232 So what is the best way to erase some body from the data base in order to avoid this isuue, or if is not a way, its posible to do a PHP or MySql script who eliminate all the contents in the ID row and regenerate it in order?
