  • Pass a JSON array to a WCF web service

    - by Tawani
    I am trying to pass a JSON array to a WCF service. But it doesn't seem to work. I actually pulled an array [GetStudents] out the service and sent the exact same array back to the service [SaveStudents] and nothing (empty array) was received. The JSON array is of the format: [ {"Name":"John","Age":12}, {"Name":"Jane","Age":11}, {"Name":"Bill","Age":12} ] And the contracts are of the following format: //Contracts [DataContract] public class Student{ [DataMember]public string Name { get; set; } [DataMember]public int Age{ get; set; } } [CollectionDataContract(Namespace = "")] public class Students : List<Student> { [DataMember]public Endorsements() { } [DataMember]public Endorsements(IEnumerable<Student> source) : base(source) { } } //Operations public Students GetStudents() { var result = new Students(); result.Add(new Student(){Name="John",12}); result.Add(new Student(){Name="Jane",11}); result.Add(new Student(){Name="Bill",12}); return result; } //Operations public void SaveStudents(Students list) { Console.WriteLine(list.Count); //It always returns zero } It there a particular way to send an array to a WCF REST service?

  • Problems with builds on TFS 2010 and resolving dependencies

    - by Jimmy Engtröm
    Hi I have a project that works great on my machine (and production servers). It's a VS2010 project running C#3.5. When letting my build server build the solution it can't resolve a couple of my third party dll's. Error message: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Microsoft.Common.targets(1360,9): warning MSB3268: The primary reference "Third.Party.Assembly, Version=50.11.2.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=0561a7c6dbd6f0ea, processorArchitecture=MSIL" could not be resolved because it has an indirect dependency on the framework assembly "Microsoft.VisualBasic.Compatibility, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a" which could not be resolved in the currently targeted framework. ".NETFramework,Version=v3.5". To resolve this problem, either remove the reference "Third.Party.Assembly, Version=50.11.2.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=0561a7c6dbd6f0ea, processorArchitecture=MSIL" or retarget your application to a framework version which contains "Microsoft.VisualBasic.Compatibility, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a". [d:\Builds\3\mySolution.sln] Everything compiles and runs great on my machine, but the build server seem to struggle. I think the Third.Party.Assembly is written in VB.net. Since the assembly is third party I can't remove the reference to "Microsoft.VisualBasic.Compatibility" and since I don't get any warnings on my computer could it really be that I'm running v3.5? Any suggestions? /Jimmy

  • MapKit internal calls causing crash

    - by Ronnie Liew
    I have a MKMapView in the view of a UIViewController. The app will crash randomly when the I pop the UIViewController off from the UINavigationController. In the dealloc method of the UIViewController, I have already assigned the MKMapView delegate to nil as below: - (void)dealloc { mapView.delegate = nil; [_mapView release]; _mapView = nil; [super dealloc]; } The crash log are also attached as follows: Crash log #1: Thread 0 Crashed: 0 libobjc.A.dylib 0x000026f6 objc_msgSend + 18 1 MapKit 0x0005676c -[MKUserLocationPositionAnimation animationDidStop:finished:] + 64 2 QuartzCore 0x00015a26 run_animation_callbacks(double, void*) + 282 3 QuartzCore 0x000158dc CA::timer_callback(__CFRunLoopTimer*, void*) + 100 4 CoreFoundation 0x00056bac CFRunLoopRunSpecific + 2112 5 CoreFoundation 0x00056356 CFRunLoopRunInMode + 42 6 GraphicsServices 0x00003b2c GSEventRunModal + 108 7 GraphicsServices 0x00003bd8 GSEventRun + 56 8 UIKit 0x00002768 -[UIApplication _run] + 384 9 UIKit 0x0000146c UIApplicationMain + 688 10 Refill 0x00002aea main (main.m:14) 11 Refill 0x00002a60 start + 44 Crash log#2 Thread 0 Crashed: 0 libobjc.A.dylib 0x000026f4 objc_msgSend + 16 1 MapKit 0x0005a20e -[MKUserLocationViewInternal userLocationViewAccuracyDidUpdate] + 42 2 MapKit 0x0005676c -[MKUserLocationPositionAnimation animationDidStop:finished:] + 64 3 QuartzCore 0x00015a26 run_animation_callbacks(double, void*) + 282 4 QuartzCore 0x000158dc CA::timer_callback(__CFRunLoopTimer*, void*) + 100 5 CoreFoundation 0x00056bac CFRunLoopRunSpecific + 2112 6 CoreFoundation 0x00056356 CFRunLoopRunInMode + 42 7 GraphicsServices 0x00003b2c GSEventRunModal + 108 8 GraphicsServices 0x00003bd8 GSEventRun + 56 9 UIKit 0x00002768 -[UIApplication _run] + 384 10 UIKit 0x0000146c UIApplicationMain + 688 11 Refill 0x00002aea main (main.m:14) 12 Refill 0x00002a60 start + 44 Seems like the MapKit is trying to update the MKMapView on the user location but the delegate has already been deallocated. What else I am missing here?

  • jQuery.ajax call to Twitter succeeds but returns null for Firefox

    - by Zhami
    I've got code that makes a simple get request to Twitter (search) using jQuery's ajax method. The code works fine on Safari, but fails on Firefox (3.6.3). In the Firefox case, my jQuery.ajax parameters 'success' method is invoked, but the supplied data is null. (In Safari, I receive a boatload of JSON data). My ajax call is: $.ajax({ url: 'http://search.twitter.com/search.json?q='+searchTerm, dataType: 'json', async: true, beforeSend: function(request) { window.console.log('starting AJAX request to get Twitter data'); }, success: function(data, textStatus, request) { window.console.log('AJAX request to get Twitter succeeded: status=' + textStatus); callback(data); }, error: function(request, status, error) { window.console.log('AJAX request to get user data --> Error: ' + status); errback(request, status, error); } }); Firebug shows Response headers: Date Sun, 11 Apr 2010 22:30:26 GMT Server hi Status 200 OK X-Served-From b021 X-Runtime 0.23841 Content-Type application/json; charset=utf-8 X-Served-By sjc1o024.prod.twitter.com X-Timeline-Cache-Hit Miss Cache-Control max-age=15, must-revalidate, max-age=300 Expires Sun, 11 Apr 2010 22:35:26 GMT Vary Accept-Encoding X-Varnish 1827846877 Age 0 Via 1.1 varnish X-Cache-Svr sjc1o024.prod.twitter.com X-Cache MISS Content-Encoding gzip Content-Length 2126 Connection close The HTTP status is OK (200), the Conetnt-Type is properly application/json, and the Content-Length of 2126 (gzip'd) implies data came back. Yet Firebug shows the Response to be empty, and a test of the supplied data shows it o be 'null.' I am aware of a similar post on Stack Overflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1188976/jquery-get-function-succeeds-with-200-but-returns-no-content-in-firefox and from that would assume this problem is possibly related to cross-domain security, but... I know there are many JS widgets and whatnots that ajax get data from Twitter. Is there something I need to enable to allow this?

  • MySQL Error 1452 - Cannot add or update a child row: a foreign key constraint fails

    - by dscher
    I've looked at other people's questions on this topic but can't seem to find where my error is coming from. Any help would be greatly appreciated. • Flex 3 - Style not applying completely on dynamically created tabs in TabNavigator

    - by user254177
    When I create a tab dynamically via ActionScript, the style for the newly created (and selected) tab get applied to the skins, but not the text, unless I click on another tab and then click back to it. This is the A/S, MXML and CSS code I am using: private function clickAddTabHandler(event:Event):void{ var vbox:VBox = new VBox; var tab:Canvas = new (Canvas); vbox.label = "Select Location"; vbox.addChild(tab); tabBar.addChild(vbox); tabBar.selectedIndex = tabBar.numChildren-1; } .tabNavigator { disabledSkin: Embed(source="assets/skins/TabBar-tab_disabledSkin.png", scaleGridTop=1, scaleGridLeft=20, scaleGridBottom=18, scaleGridRight=32); downSkin: Embed(source="assets/skins/TabBar-tab_downSkin.png", scaleGridTop=1, scaleGridLeft=20, scaleGridBottom=18, scaleGridRight=32); overSkin: Embed(source="assets/skins/TabBar-tab_overSkin.png", scaleGridTop=1, scaleGridLeft=20, scaleGridBottom=18, scaleGridRight=32); upSkin: Embed(source="assets/skins/TabBar-tab_upSkin.png", scaleGridTop=1, scaleGridLeft=20, scaleGridBottom=18, scaleGridRight=32); selectedDisabledSkin: Embed(source="assets/skins/TabBar-tab_selectedDisabledSkin.png", scaleGridTop=1, scaleGridLeft=20, scaleGridBottom=18, scaleGridRight=32); selectedUpSkin: Embed(source="assets/skins/TabBar-tab_selectedUpSkin.png", scaleGridTop=1, scaleGridLeft=20, scaleGridBottom=18, scaleGridRight=32); selectedOverSkin: Embed(source="assets/skins/TabBar-tab_selectedUpSkin.png", scaleGridTop=1, scaleGridLeft=20, scaleGridBottom=18, scaleGridRight=32); selectedDownSkin: Embed(source="assets/skins/TabBar-tab_selectedUpSkin.png", scaleGridTop=1, scaleGridLeft=20, scaleGridBottom=18, scaleGridRight=32); textAlign: left; paddingLeft: 20; paddingRight: 20; fontSize: 11; fontFamily: Helvetica Neue; color: #FFFFFF; textRollOverColor: #FFFFFF; } .tabNavigatorSelected { textAlign: left; paddingLeft: 20; paddingRight: 20; fontSize: 11; fontFamily: Helvetica Neue; color: #135F9E; textRollOverColor: #135F9E; textSelectedColor: #135F9E; }

  • Traverse 2D Array (Matrix) Diagonally

    - by jonobr1
    So I found this thread that was extremely helpful in traversing an array diagonally. I'm stuck though on mirroring it. For example: var m = 3; var n = 4; var a = new Array(); var b = 0; for(var i = 0; i < m; i++) { a[i] = new Array(n); for(var j = 0; j < n; j++) { a[i][j] = b; b++; } } for (var i = 0; i < m + n - 1; i++) { var z1 = (i < n) ? 0 : i - n + 1; var z2 = (i < m) ? 0 : i - m + 1; for (var j = i - z2; j >= z1; j--) { console.log(a[j][i - j]); } } Console reads [[0],[4,1],[8,5,2],[9,6,3],[10,7],[11]] I'd like it to read [[8],[4,9],[0,5,10],[1,6,11],[2,7],[3]] Been stumped for awhile, it's like a rubik's cube _<

  • Standard Apache (not OHS) with mod_osso for Single Signon

    - by Markos Fragkakis
    The mod_osso.so (the Apache plugin for Single Signon, provided by Oracle) is distributed with the Oracle HTTP Server (OHS), which is essentially a modified Apache. I am trying to use it on the standard Apache HTTP Server, and have not managed to get it to work. Configuration: Apache 2.2.15 OHS from the Oracle Web Tier Tools 11.1.1.2.0 Red Hat Linux 64 bit I have: Included the module in the modules directory (copied from corresponding modules dir in OHS) Included the libraries libiau.so and libclutsh.so.11.1 from Oracle Home. The absence of these libraries produced an error on starting Apache. Produced a osso.conf using the ssoreg.sh tool provided with OID (the LDAP implementation of Oracle) Created the required mod_osso.conf file, which I included in httpd.conf. The error I get when starting Apache is this: # /opt/apache_sso/bin/apachectl -k start httpd: Syntax error on line 1075 of /opt/apache_sso/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 1 of /opt/apache_sso/conf/mod_osso.conf: Cannot load /opt/apache_sso/modules/mod_osso.so into server: /opt/apache_sso/modules/mod_osso.so: undefined symbol: _audit_authentication_request My mod_osso.conf: # cat /opt/apache_sso/conf/mod_osso.conf LoadModule osso_module modules/mod_osso.so <IfModule mod_osso.c> OssoIdleTimeout off OssoIpCheck on OssoConfigFile conf/osso.conf #Location is the URI you want to protect <Location /myapp> require valid-user #OHS 11g AuthType Osso #OHS 10g AuthType Basic AuthType Osso </Location> </IfModule> Has anyone made mod_osso work on standard Apache HTTP server?

  • Issue configuring Oracle database for SSL

    - by Santhosha
    Hello, I want to setup Oracle for SSL communication. I am not using SSL authentication for database user. As first requirement, generated self signed certificate using OpenSSL and added certificate to wallet. The wallet location is specified in server configuration. Created listener and it is starting however it does not provide any service. The default listener (non SSL) is working fine. When I execute LSNRCTL.EXE status SSLLISTENER it gives below output. • autoresizingMask changes the size of the UILabel being drawn, just by being set

    - by Kojiro
    I have some custom UITableViewCells that are made programmatically as needed, I want these to resize. However, when I add autoresizingMasks to the UILabels in the cells, they all seem to stretch wider while anchoring to the left side. // This works fine UILabel *aField = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(60, 2, tableView.frame.size.width - 83, 21)]; UILabel *bField = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(60, 20, tableView.frame.size.width - 154, 21)]; UILabel *cField = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 2, tableView.frame.size.width, 21)]; UILabel *dField = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(tableView.frame.size.width - 116, 11, 93, 21)]; UILabel *eField = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(tableView.frame.size.width - 116, 11, 93, 21)]; // But when I add this, it draws like the tableview is actually much wider than it really is aField.autoresizingMask = UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleWidth; bField.autoresizingMask = carrierField.autoresizingMask; cField.autoresizingMask = UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleWidth; dField.autoresizingMask = UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleLeftMargin; eField.autoresizingMask = priceField.autoresizingMask; So when the bottom section of code doesn't exist, everything works as expected, but when it does, a lot of the labels start falling off the right side or being stretched to where their centers are far to the right. Am I overlooking something simple?

  • Mysql SELECT FOR UPDATE - strange issue

    - by Michal Fronczyk
    Hi, I have a strange issue (at least for me :)) with the MySQL's locking facility. I have a table: Create Table: CREATE TABLE test ( id int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, PRIMARY KEY (id) ) ENGINE=InnoDB AUTO_INCREMENT=13 DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 With this data: +----+ | id | +----+ | 3 | | 4 | | 5 | | 6 | | 7 | | 8 | | 10 | | 11 | | 12 | +----+ Now I have 2 clients with these commands executed at the beginning: set autocommit=0; set session transaction isolation level serializable; begin; Now the most interesting part. The first client executes this query: (makes an intent to insert a row with id equal to 9) SELECT * from test where id = 9 FOR UPDATE; Empty set (0.00 sec) Then the second client does the same: SELECT * from test where id = 9 FOR UPDATE; Empty set (0.00 sec) My question is: Why the second client does not block ? An exclusive gap lock should have been set by the first query because FOR UPDATE have been used and the second client should block. If I am wrong, could somebody tell me how to do it correctly ? The MySql version I use is: 5.1.37-1ubuntu5.1 Thanks, Michal

  • WCF sending the same exception even if the service endpoint address is valid

    - by ALexr111
    Hi, I'm running into a really strange problem with WCF. I need to implement some recovery behavior for WCF service if not reachable endpoint IP address received or service can not bind. The flow is simple if the application fail on exception on service creation it terminate it and request from user another IP address and perform another attempt to create the service. (The code snippet below). If the address is not valid I get "A TCP error (10049: The requested address is not valid in its context) occurred while listening on IP Endpoint=.121.10.11.11" exception, but for any reason if I try the second attempt with valid address I've got the same exception with wrong IP address from previous attempt. Here is a code: ServiceHost service = null; try { Uri[] uris = { new Uri(Constants.PROTOCOL + "://" + address + ":" + port) }; service = new ServiceHost(typeof(IRemoteService), uris); NetTcpBinding tcpBinding = WcfTcpRemoteServicesManager.LessLimitedNewNetTcpBinding(int.MaxValue, int.MaxValue, int.MaxValue); ServiceEndpoint ep = service.AddServiceEndpoint(implementedContract.FullName, tcpBinding, serviceName); var throttle = service.Description.Behaviors.Find<ServiceThrottlingBehavior>(); if (throttle == null) { throttle = new ServiceThrottlingBehavior { MaxConcurrentCalls = Constants.MAX_CONCURRENT_CALLS, MaxConcurrentSessions = Constants.MAX_CONCURRENT_SESSIONS, MaxConcurrentInstances = Constants.MAX_CONCURRENT_INSTANCES }; service.Description.Behaviors.Add(throttle); } service.Open(); } catch (Exception e) { _debugLog.WriteLineMessage( "Failed to open or create service exception. Exception message:" + e.Message); if (service!=null) { try { service.Close(); } catch (Exception) { service.Abort(); service.Close(); throw e; } } } Thanks

  • Error while dynamically loading mapi32.dll

    - by The_Fox
    Our application uses Simple MAPI to send e-mails. One of our clients has problems sending e-mail from a session on his terminal server. The mapi32.dll is loaded with a call to LoadLibrary which succeeds, but then our application tries to get the addresses of the functions MAPILogon, MAPILogOff, MAPISendMail, MAPIFreeBuffer and MAPIResolveName. The problem is that GetProcAddress fails for those functions with an ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED (code: 5) except for MAPIFreeBuffer. It looks like some sort of security thing. How can I fix this or should I use another method to send mail? • How to improve Java perfomance on Informix for Windows

    - by Michal Niklas
    I have problem with performance of Java UDR functions on Informix on Windows. On this server I already have some functions in C and SPL. I chose one function to write it in those 3 languages and I measured performance of this function on test table. Function calculates some kind of checksum so it not use any db libraries etc. only string and math operations. I observed performance on 30k records with SQL like: select function(txt) from _tmp_perf_test and I changed function to 'function_c, function_spl or function_java. My performance tests showed that C function is the fastest, SPL function is about 5 times slower, where Java is 100 (one hundred!) times slower than C. I checked it few times and 1:100 ratio didn't improve. I changed Java function to simply return length of the string but even this do not help so it looks, that there is general problem with Java function invocation, because there was no difference in time between Java function that calculate checksum and Java function that returns length of the string. I increased JVM_MAX_HEAP_SIZE to 128 and it not helped too. I use IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 11.50.TC6DE. The same test on Linux server: IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 11.50.FC6 show more "normal" results, i.e. Java is slower from C and SPL but only 2 to 5 times. What can I do to improve Java performance on Informix server on Windows? • How to write a C program using the fork() system call that generates the Fibonacci sequence in the

    - by Ellen
    The problem I am having is that when say for instance the user enters 7, then the display shows: 0 11 2 3 5 8 13 21 child ends. I cannot seem to figure out how to fix the 11 and why is it displaying that many numbers in the sequence! Can anyone help? The number of the sequence will be provided in the command line. For example, if 5 is provided, the first five numbers in the Fibonacci sequence will be output by the child process. Because the parent and child processes have their own copies of the data, it will be necessary for the child to output the sequence. Have the parent invoke the wait() call to wait for the child process to complete before exiting the program. Perform necessary error checking to ensure that a non-negative number is passed on the command line. #include <stdio.h> #include <sys/types.h> #include <unistd.h> int main() { int a=0, b=1, n=a+b,i,ii; pid_t pid; printf("Enter the number of a Fibonacci Sequence:\n"); scanf("%d", &ii); if (ii < 0) printf("Please enter a non-negative integer!\n"); else { pid = fork(); if (pid == 0) { printf("Child is producing the Fibonacci Sequence...\n"); printf("%d %d",a,b); for (i=0;i<ii;i++) { n=a+b; printf("%d ", n); a=b; b=n; } printf("Child ends\n"); } else { printf("Parent is waiting for child to complete...\n"); wait(NULL); printf("Parent ends\n"); } } return 0; }
