    Hi, I'm using Google Custom Search (http://www.google.com/cse) on a client website. They are not very happy about rival companies showing up on sponsered links on their own site. I know we can use Google Site Search (http://www.google.com/sitesearch/ but it has an annual fee. I've been looking all around for a Free/OpenSource alternative for Google CSE, but found little I can use. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you

  • Building a DVR system for use with custom windows application (video analytics)

    Is there a good PCIe DVR capture card that has at least 4 channels as well as the hardware encoding? It would have to have decent driver support in Windows xp or windows 7. I have looked at various video capture cards as well as an integrated video capture card/motherboard from Huperlabs. But so far I have not found one with a decent review and that has good driver support that I can verify. A really small card would be nice because I am trying to get a fairly small form factor. Huperlabs stuff is pretty awesome but they are slow to get back to me and they bundle their analytics software with the hardware (extra cost for nothing) The dvr is being used for security.

    Anyone have any luck using Vimeo's moogaloop player? I'm wanting to use Vimeo's supposed API functions to create custom buttons to control the Vimeo player on my site. Here's the reference page for moogaloop: http://vimeo.com/api/docs/moogaloop I've been able to get the player to embed using SWFObject, but I can't seem to get the API functions to work (e.g. api_play()).     Hi, I have created a menu bar and some menus with Qt creator. One of the menus had to be coded to use QActionGroup features. Now it is easy to add my custom menu to the menu bar with: printMenu = menuBar()-addMenu(tr("&Print")); but my menu will be in the last position of the menu bar. How do I add my menu at a specified place? (e.g. the second place right after the File menu) Greetings

  • Indexing Service: getting empty columns on custom properties

    I'm following this example: http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/2005/12/getting-started-with-indexing-service.html However, the conversion to dataset shows empty columns for my custom properties. If I use path or filename for the columns I get data back. I have set the properties to be cached, have tried both levels, and have rescanned full. I've tried this example on my desktop (windows vista 32bit) and on a Windows 2008 R2 server with the same results.

  • SQL Server: Is it possible to prevent SQL Agent from failing a step on error?

    I have a stored procedure that runs custom backups for around 60 SQL servers (mixes 2000 through 2008R2). Occasionally, due to issues outside of my control (backup device inaccessible, network error, etc.) an individual backup on one or two databases will fail. This causes this entire step to fail, which means any subsequent backup commands are not executed and half of the databases on a given server may not be backed up. On the 2005+ boxes I am using TRY/CATCH blocks to manage these problems and continue backing up the remaining databases. On a 2000 server however, for example, I have no way to prevent this error from failing the entire step: Msg 3201, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 Cannot open backup device 'db-diff(\PATH\DB-DIFF-03-16-2010.DIF)'. Operating system error 5(Access is denied.). Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally. I am simply asking if anything like this is possible in SQL 2000 or if I need to go in a completely different direction.

    When viewing a jpg or mp3 in Windows Explorer, the bottom pane shows metadata from the media file. Furthermore, for video and picture, the icon is shown as a preview of the media. Is there a way to add this kind of functionality to windows for custom file types that aren't supported by default in windows? Is there a certain sort of plugin or extension that must be written? If so, how is it implemented? Thank you.

    I am using simple modal dialog by Eric Martin. And have defined a function e.g function confirm(message, options) {.... } To customize all confirm dialogs. Its working nicely accross all the browsers.Except when I enable Selenium IDE ,my custom confirm dialog function fails to capture "options" parameters and firefox console echos like this: options is undefined callback=options.callback; Error When Selenium IDE is visible Normal Behaviour When Selenium IDE is closed Please help me sort out this issue so I should able to run selenium tests.

    As part of our build process and evolving database, I'm trying to create a script which will remove all of the tables and sequences for a user. I don't want to do recreate the user as this will require more permissions than allowed. My script creates a procedure to drop the tables/sequences, executes the procedure, and then drops the procedure. I'm executing the file from sqlplus: drop.sql: create or replace procedure drop_all_cdi_tables is cur integer; begin cur:= dbms_sql.OPEN_CURSOR(); for t in (select table_name from user_tables) loop execute immediate 'drop table ' ||t.table_name|| ' cascade constraints'; end loop; dbms_sql.close_cursor(cur); cur:= dbms_sql.OPEN_CURSOR(); for t in (select sequence_name from user_sequences) loop execute immediate 'drop sequence ' ||t.sequence_name; end loop; dbms_sql.close_cursor(cur); end; / execute drop_all_cdi_tables; / drop procedure drop_all_cdi_tables; / Unfortunately, dropping the procedure causes a problem.   • How can I build multiple processes with TBB?

I hope I could run several copies of my solver(maybe with different parameters) in parallel simultaneously on a multi-core computer. can I do this with TBB? The reason I ask this question is that the book says: do not introduce anything in your code that will not allow single-thread execution. Any experts can explain this issue? Thanks.
