  I tried to write reasonably short title but i failed i guess.. Hi everybody here's what i'm trying to do: I want to implement a web text editor able to recognize when the user drag a image file over it's editing surface and it automa(gically) starts the upload and insert the image near the cursor position. In other words i don't want the user to do the usual "insert-image-browse-ok". Atm i am not very good at javascript ... i know JQuery but i have not a clear idea about how to implement this... i don't know if there's an event handler able to help me in this situation... if not then there should be i think or web apps would miss some kind of interactivity. I've heard miracles about HTML5 could it help me? I've seen such things in Google Wave but that surface doesn't seem to be a form field... google lab's black magic i guess.... Thank you in advance.

• How to Embed Image in Outlook Signature?

  Is it possible to create an HTML email signature for Outlook 2003 or above that doesn't reference external images? That is, using those special "cid" reference but embed the image itself in the signature and not on the file system or network. This is for an web application that generates a "standard" email signature based on various input from a user. It has worked fine so far with a single "embedded" image. But a new feature is going to require the possible addition of multiple tiny images. Getting to user to save one email signature template and one image to the user's machine is about the limit of what I'd like to require of the user. But forcing the user to save multiple images seem to be pushing things a little to far in my opinion. So my problem is trying to embed the images into without having to inconvenience the user with multiple downloads first.

  I'd like an image to take up all of a navigation bar. This is the navigation that comes with a navigation based app. It appears on the RootViewController with the accompanying UITableView. I've seen some examples of how this might work. Set navigation bar title: UIImage *image = [UIImage imageNamed:@"TableviewCellLightBlue.png"]; UIImageView *imageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:image]; [self.navigationController.navigationBar.topItem setTitleView:imageView]; The problem there is it only covers the title rather than the entire navigation bar. There is also this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=9254241#9254241. Towards the end, the solution looks to use a tab bar, which I'm not using. It is that complicated to set a navigation bar background? Is there some other simpler technique? I'd like to have a background for the navigation and still be able to use title text.

  I have an integer array of RGB pixels that looks something like: pixels[0] = <rgb-value of pixel(0,0)> pixels[1] = <rgb-value of pixel(1,0)> pixels[2] = <rgb-value of pixel(2,0)> pixels[3] = <rgb-value of pixel(0,1)> ...etc... And I'm trying to create a BufferedImage from it. I tried the following: BufferedImage img = new BufferedImage(width, height, BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB); img.getRaster().setPixels(0, 0, width, height, pixels); But the resulting image has problems with the color bands. The image is unclear and there are diagonal and horizontal lines through it. What is the proper way to initialize the image with the rgb values? thanks, Jeff

  Hi I have created http://techavid.com/design/test3.html and when you load the page you see there are 3 images. The sun image is focused(in color), while the others are greyed out until clicked. That is how it should be for the images. Also when you load the page you see under each image it's own text(i.e. 1st: Sun, 2nd: Airplane, 3rd: Nano), but on page load I only want 1st:Sun to display and hide all other text until their respective image is clicked. Any idea how to do this? thanks :) J

• Understanding The Convolution Matrix

  I am learning about the Convolution Matrix, and I understand how they work, but I don't understand how to know before hand what the output of a Matrix will look like. For example lets say I want to add a blur to an image, I could guess 10,000+ different combinations of numbers before I get the correct one. I do know though that this formula will give me a blur effect, but I have no idea why. float[] sharpen = new float[] { 1/9f, 1/9f, 1/9f, 1/9f, 1/9f, 1/9f, 1/9f, 1/9f, 1/9f }; Can anyone either explain to me how this works or point me to some article, that explains this? I would like to know before hand what a possible output of the matrix will be without guessing. Basically I would like to know why do we put that number in the filed, and why not some other number?

• Applying a pixel shader effect to a portion of an image

  I have a ScrollViewer that contains a very large video (16 megapixel @ 10fps) and I want to apply a pixel shader effect to it. Given the size of the images I can't apply the effect directly to the image. So I apply the effect to the ScrollContentPresenter in the control style. Which is great, everything runs nice and fast. However, I'm also rendering annotations inside of the ScrollContentPresenter which I do NOT want effects applied to (but they need to move and scale along with the image). Is there to apply the effect just to the clipped and displayed portion of the image or do I need to build a rather more complex control?

  My group project at school is to implement a style of monopoly in which students can buy courses and land on various squares and move around the board. This is not a regular square board so we were wondering if anyone had any ideas on how we would implement an image map or something like it to create many clickable regions not in a perfect square. • CSS gaps between image links for no reason

  Hi, I've been trying to get this horizontal navigation sorted for the past few hours now and nothing is working. I've tried reset.css stylesheets, *{padding: 0; margin: 0) etc. and I still have gaps inbetween my image links. You see, the navigation is made up of an unordered list of image links displayed inline, but there are gaps in between each image, left, right, top and bottom and I can't see why. It's the same in all browsers. Here is a link to the page, and so source: Beansheaf Temporary I can't post more than one link (damn reputation) so the css is at the same url but in the directory "styles" and is called "fund2.css". • jQuery drag and drop behavior with partially transparent image

  I'm trying to develop a drag-and-drop behavior based on the jQuery UI draggable behavior but am running into some road blocks. I want to be able to drag several images with transparent regions around a region of the screen. I want the user to be able to drag the image he clicks and not just whatever draggable div or PNG happens to be z-indexed on top. The below image is a screen grab from my test page. If I click the lower left region of the blue square through the red thing I should drag the square and not the red thing. The red thing is what gets dragged though because it is on top and the browser does not care about the transparency. My question is, how can I make it behave as expected in this situation and drag the square instead? Edit: Seems I can't attach images as a new user.   Hi all I have a series of asp:ImageButtons and one asp:Image(Big). Clicking on each ImageButton should change the ImageUrl of asp:Image to a new ImageUrl. How can we handle this using one Javascript function. Because I dont wanna code ImageButton_Click for each and every asp:ImageButton. This makes my application run very slow and also pass too many server requests. Any ideas ????How to design one powerful Javascript function.   From times to times I have to know the width and height of images. I am using the following code: UIImage *imageU = [UIImage imageWithContentsOfFile:[[[NSBundle mainBundle] resourcePath] stringByAppendingPathComponent:@"myImage.png"]]; CGFloat imageW = CGImageGetWidth(imageU.CGImage); CGFloat imageH = CGImageGetHeight(imageU.CGImage); My question is that if it is there any other way to know the width and height of an image, in pixels, without having to load the image on a variable, that's probably consuming memory. Can the dimensions be read from the file directly without loading the whole image? thanks.

  I am going to use a large image on my page with a bunch of text on it. The reason I am including body text on an image is because the text will be rotated, and there currently isn't any GREAT solution for rotating text seamlessly across all browsers. On this image, there is a lot of text, and I want it to be indexed by search engines. (but its a picture so it's content won't be indexed, obviously) If I was to include a div with all the text html and set the css to display:none, would Google still index the content that is hidden under the picture? Are their any other solid solutions here?

• Standardizing camera input in OpenCV? (Contrast/Saturation/Brightness etc..)

  I am building an application using OpenCV that uses the webcam and runs some vision algorithms. I would like to make this application available on the internet after I am done, but I am concerned about the vast differences in camera settings on every computer, and I am worried that the algorithm may break if the settings are too different from mine. Is there any way, after capturing the frame, to post process it and make sure that the contrast is X, brightness is Y, and saturation is Z? I think the Camera settings themselves can not be changed from code directly using the current OpenCV Python bindings. Would anyone be able to tell me about how I could calculate some of these parameters from the image and adjust them appropriately using OpenCV?

Only for one record, the result is very strange. For this record ColumnA=2010-04-23 08:00:00 ColumnB=2010-04-22 17:00:00 It would display kpi_r, it displayed kpi_y. I have checked the value of DateDiff(d,Fields!ColumnA.Value,Fields!ColumnB.Value) in the SSMS, the value is -1. Why does it display kpi_y? Does anyone meet this problem before? Best Regards,
