• Cron won't execute if am not logged in

  I have a cron that makes a backup of MySql, if I execute on shell it works pretty well even if I'm logged when cron supposed to execute works fine, but if I'm not logged just won't execute, I don't know what could happened, any suggestion ? • All traffic is passed through OpenVPN although not requested

  I have a bash script on a Ubuntu box which searches for the fastest openvpn server, connects, and binds one program to the tun0 interface. Unfortunately, all traffic is being passed through the VPN. Does anybody know what's going on? The relevant line follows: openvpn --daemon --config $cfile --auth-user-pass ipvanish.pass --status openvpn-status.log There don't seem to be any entries in iptables when I enter sudo iptables --list.   I have an Entity Student with following properties - (name, joinedOn, birthday, age, batch, etc.) and a function fetchStudents(<params>). I want to fetch students based on multiple filters. In my method I have two ways to pass filters. Pass all filters as params to the method Make a class StudentCriteria with filters as fields and then pass the object of this class While working in java I always go with the second option but recently I'm working in php and I was advised to go with the first way. I am unable to figure out which way is better in maintaining the code, reusability and performance wise. Thanks.

But the Trello Api doesn't seem to give any way to authorize a user through the URL. I'm trying to use the Eclipse debugger (not very used to it). I have my top-level or main class, which is Game, in which I have a constructor and a main method.   I binwalked a firmware of a ZTE ZXV10 H108L, and got some encouraging results of uImage uboot, and LZMA compression, as well as a Squashfs 3.0 LZMA compressed filesystem. 256 0x100 uImage header, header size: 64 bytes, header CRC: 0xE70BCBB9, created: Thu Nov 10 04:54:54 2011, image size: 804172 bytes, Data Address: 0x80002000, Entry Point: 0x80266000, data CRC: 0x6EFE90F1, OS: Linux, CPU: MIPS, image type: OS Kernel Image, compression type: lzma, image name: MIPS Linux-2.6.20 320 0x140 LZMA compressed data, properties: 0x5D, dictionary size: 8388608 bytes, uncompressed size: 2637958 bytes 851968 0xD0000 Squashfs filesystem, big endian, lzma signature, version 3.0, size: 2543403 bytes, 632 inodes, blocksize: 65536 bytes, created: Thu Nov 10 04:56:12 2011 Now what I did is, to test several portions of the file (320byte-end, 851968byte-end, and many more) using dd, and trying with certain tools to uncompress/unpack the filesystem of the firmware. After some digging I found out the best tool to do this is the firmware_mod_kit, that understands a squashfs-lzma v3 filesystem. Although I ended up really frustrated as unsquashfs-lzma v3 reported a cold "zlib::uncompress failed, unknown error -3". Do you have any ideas? Could it be that, the firmware is corrupted on purpose to discourage attempts like this? Router file Thanks

• Issues with ProxyPass and ProxyPassReverse when proxying to localhost and a different TCP port

  I am attempting to use ProxyPass and ProxyPassReverse to proxy requests through Apache to another server instance that is bound to the localhost on a different TCP port that the Vhost exists (VHost is bound to :80, when the target is bound to :5000). However, I am repeatedly receiving HTTP 503 when accessing the Location. According to the ProxyPass documentation... <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName apacheserver.domain.local DocumentRoot /var/www/redmine/public ErrorLog logs/redmine_error <Directory /var/www/redmine/public> Allow from all Options -MultiViews Order allow,deny AllowOverride all </Directory> </VirtualHost> PassengerTempDir /tmp/passenger <Location /rhodecode> ProxyPass http://127.0.0.1:5000/rhodecode ProxyPassReverse http://127.0.0.1:5000/rhodecode SetEnvIf X-Url-Scheme https HTTPS=1 </Location> I have tested binding the alternate server to the interface IP address, and the same issue occurs. The server servicing request is an instance of python paste:httpserver, and it has been configured to use the /rhodecode suffix (as I saw this to be mentioned in other posts about ProxyPass). The documentation from the project itself, Rhodecode, reports to use the above. The issue is persistent if I target another server that is serving on a different port. Does ProxyPass allow proxying to a different TCP port? [update] I won't delete this, in case someone comes across the same issue. I had set an ErrorLog, and in that ErrorLog the following error was reported: [Wed Nov 09 11:36:35 2011] [error] (13)Permission denied: proxy: HTTP: attempt to connect to 127.0.0.1:5000 (192.168.100.100) failed [Wed Nov 09 11:36:35 2011] [error] ap_proxy_connect_backend disabling worker for (192.168.100.100) After some more research, I attempted to set SELinux to permissive (echo 0 >/selinux/enforce), and try again.   I am trying to get ldaps to work through Apache 2.2.17 (Windows Server 2008). If I use ldap (plain text) my configuration works great. AuthLDAPURL "ldaps://gc-hca.corpad.net:3269/dc=hca,dc=corpad,dc=net?sAMAccountName?sub" AuthType Basic AuthName "USE YOUR WINDOWS ACCOUNT" AuthBasicProvider ldap AuthUserFile /dev/null require valid-user </Location> I also tried the other encryption choices besides CA_DER just to be safe, with no luck. Finally, I also needed this with Apache tomcat. For tomcat I used the tomcat JRE and ran a line like this: keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -noprompt -alias mycert -file Trusted_Root_Certificate.cer After doing the above line ldaps worked greate via tomcat. This lets me know that my certificate is a-ok. Update: Both ldap modules are turned on, since using ldap instead of ldaps works fine. Everything works fine for non-SSL requests, but I'm having a hard time getting the SSL logic working as well. • raid md device is not remove from memory, how to overcome this problem

• Problems setting up a VPN: can connect but can't ping anyone

  This is my first time setting a VPN. Clients can connect but can't ping other machines. This is certainly a route problem but i can't find the right way to configure it. Here is a sample example of the two LANS i want to connect: So, i want machines from 192.168.1.0/24 being able to connect with 192.168.0.0/24 as if they were on the same network. For the VPN network, i would like to use the 10.0.0.0/24 range. • How do I access the web server on my desktop from my laptop?

  I'm running Apache on my stationary and I would like to access a website through my laptop. This is some of the Apache config: NameVirtualHost 127.0.0.1:80 <VirtualHost 127.0.0.1:80> ServerName mysite.com DocumentRoot I:/wamp/www/mysite/ </VirtualHost> ServerName localhost:80 <Directory /> Options FollowSymLinks AllowOverride all Order deny,allow Deny from all </Directory> On my laptop I've added the following to the HOSTS file: 10.0.0.3 mysite.com But accessing the page through mysite.com is not very successfull. If I enter the IP address directly, I only get a Forbidden message. What do I need to do in order to get this to work? Update I'm runing WAMPSERVER 2.1 (Apache 2.2.17) Apache is up and running I can ping 10.0.0.3 from laptop I'm not able to ping http://mysite.com from laptop IE gives me a 403 Forbidden - The website declined to show this webpage The only log that get's entries when trying to access the website from my laptop, is access.log. access.log 10.0.0.4 - - [13/Jun/2011:10:14:04 +0200] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 403 202 apache_error.log [Mon Jun 13 10:08:16 2011] [error] VirtualHost localhost:0 -- mixing * ports and non-* ports with a NameVirtualHost address is not supported, proceeding with undefined results UPDATE 2 My apache config has the following entry: AllowOverride all Order Deny,Allow Deny from all Allow from 127.0.0.1 Could it be that this Allow from is stopping other computers accessing the page?
