  • QListView/QListWidget with custom items

    - by Daniel
    I'm writing my first Qt application with PyQt and am having some trouble creating a custom list view. I'd like the list to contain arbitrary widgets (one custom widget in particular). How would I go about this? It seems that the alternative would be to create a table or grid view wrapped in a scrollbar. However, I'd like to be able to take advantage of the model/view approach as well as the nesting (tree-view) support the built-ins handle. EDIT: To clarify, this widget is interactive (contains buttons), so the solution requires more than painting a widget.

  • WPF Datagrid -DataGridTemplateColumn tab focus issue

    I am using Microsoft WPF datagrid. I have noticed a strange behavior with WPF datagrid DataGridTemplateColumn. When you use the templateColumn in the grid and the template column contains some controls when you tab from the previous column the focus is not automatically given to the first element declared in the template column. The foucs is initally set on the border of the template column and when we tab of once agin the focus goes to the first column. Any workaround for this issue. How can i set the focus to go the first element in the template column of the datagrid when i tab off.

  • ASPxGridView Pager disappears

    - by Jo Asakura
    Hello all, I use the ASPxGridView with paging, pager settings is next: <SettingsPager Mode="ShowPager" Position="Bottom" Visible="true"> Also I have a CustomButtonInitialize event: protected void gridViewInvoices_CustomButtonInitialize(object sender, ASPxGridViewCustomButtonEventArgs e) { if (!e.IsEditingRow) { Invoice invoice = (Invoice)gridViewInvoices.GetRow(e.VisibleIndex); if (invoice != null) { if (e.ButtonID == "btnConfirmPayment") { e.Visible = invoice.PaymentConfirmedDate.HasValue ? DefaultBoolean.False : DefaultBoolean.Default; } } } } When I open the page with this grid the pager disappears but if I comment my CustomButtonInitialize event: protected void gridViewInvoices_CustomButtonInitialize(object sender, ASPxGridViewCustomButtonEventArgs e) { /*if (!e.IsEditingRow) { Invoice invoice = (Invoice)gridViewInvoices.GetRow(e.VisibleIndex); if (invoice != null) { if (e.ButtonID == "btnConfirmPayment") { e.Visible = invoice.PaymentConfirmedDate.HasValue ? DefaultBoolean.False : DefaultBoolean.Default; } } }*/ } Pager appears again, how can I fix it and how is pager depend on this event (CustomButtonInitialize)? Best regards, Alex.

  • How to eager load in WCF Ria Services/Linq2SQLDomainModel

    - by Aggelos Mpimpoudis
    I have a databound grid at my view (XAML) and the Itemsource points to a ReportsCollection. The Reports entity has three primitives and some complex types. These three are shown as expected at datagrid. Additionally the Reports entity has a property of type Store. When loading Reports via GetReports domain method, I quickly figure out that only primitives are returned and not the whole graph of some depth. So, as I wanted to load the Store property too, I made this alteration at my domain service: public IQueryable<Report> GetReports() { return this.ObjectContext.Reports.Include("Store"); } From what I see at the immediate window, store is loaded as expected, but when returned to client is still pruned. How can this be fixed? Thank you!

  • Space partitioning algorithm

    - by Karol Kolenda
    I have a set of points which are contained within the rectangle. I'd like to split the rectangles into subrectangles based on point density (giving a number of subrectangles or desired density, whichever is easiest). The partitioning doesn't have to be exact (almost any approximation better than regular grid would do), but the algorithm have to cope with the large number of points - approx. 200 millions. The desired number of subrectangles however is substantially lower (around 1000). Does anyone knows any algorithm which may help me with this particular task?

  • WPF - DataGrid Column's ToolTip visibility based on the column's data length

    - by S.C.Vidhya
    In my application, i have tried to implement the visibility of tooltip based on the dataGrid Column's text length by using a converter. I am facing some problems in displaying the toolTip text. In the ToolTip, TextBlock's text binding is not working. If its binded with some hard coded strings, it works fine. Here below is the code that i have added for the grid column... <Custom:DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> <DataTemplate> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Text}"> <TextBlock.ToolTip> <ToolTip DataContext="{Binding Path=PlacementTarget, RelativeSource={x:Static RelativeSource.Self}}" Visibility="{Binding Converter={StaticResource ToolTipVis}}"> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Text}"> </ToolTip> </TextBlock.ToolTip> </TextBlock> </DataTemplate> </Custom:DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate>

  • WPF: how to find an element in a datatemplate from an itemscontrol

    - by EV
    Hi, I have the following problem: the application is using the custom itemscontrol called ToolBox. The elements of a toolbox are called toolboxitems and are custom contentcontrol. Now, the toolbox stores a number of images that are retrieved from a database and displayed. For that I use a datatemplate inside the toolbox control. However, when I try to drag and drop the elements, I don't get the image object but the database component. I thought that I should then traverse the structure to find the Image element. here's the code: Toolbox: public class Toolbox : ItemsControl { private Size defaultItemSize = new Size(65, 65); public Size DefaultItemSize { get { return this.defaultItemSize; } set { this.defaultItemSize = value; } } protected override DependencyObject GetContainerForItemOverride() { return new ToolboxItem(); } protected override bool IsItemItsOwnContainerOverride(object item) { return (item is ToolboxItem); } } ToolBoxItem: public class ToolboxItem : ContentControl { private Point? dragStartPoint = null; static ToolboxItem() { FrameworkElement.DefaultStyleKeyProperty.OverrideMetadata(typeof(ToolboxItem), new FrameworkPropertyMetadata(typeof(ToolboxItem))); } protected override void OnPreviewMouseDown(MouseButtonEventArgs e) { base.OnPreviewMouseDown(e); this.dragStartPoint = new Point?(e.GetPosition(this)); } public String url { get; private set; } protected override void OnMouseMove(MouseEventArgs e) { base.OnMouseMove(e); if (e.LeftButton != MouseButtonState.Pressed) { this.dragStartPoint = null; } if (this.dragStartPoint.HasValue) { Point position = e.GetPosition(this); if ((SystemParameters.MinimumHorizontalDragDistance <= Math.Abs((double)(position.X - this.dragStartPoint.Value.X))) || (SystemParameters.MinimumVerticalDragDistance <= Math.Abs((double)(position.Y - this.dragStartPoint.Value.Y)))) { string xamlString = XamlWriter.Save(this.Content); MessageBoxResult result = MessageBox.Show(xamlString); DataObject dataObject = new DataObject("DESIGNER_ITEM", xamlString); if (dataObject != null) { DragDrop.DoDragDrop(this, dataObject, DragDropEffects.Copy); } } e.Handled = true; } } private childItem FindVisualChild<childItem>(DependencyObject obj) where childItem : DependencyObject { for (int i = 0; i < VisualTreeHelper.GetChildrenCount(obj); i++) { DependencyObject child = VisualTreeHelper.GetChild(obj, i); if (child != null && child is childItem) return (childItem)child; else { childItem childOfChild = FindVisualChild<childItem>(child); if (childOfChild != null) return childOfChild; } } return null; } } here is the xaml file for ToolBox and toolbox item: <Style TargetType="{x:Type s:ToolboxItem}"> <Setter Property="Control.Padding" Value="5" /> <Setter Property="ContentControl.HorizontalContentAlignment" Value="Stretch" /> <Setter Property="ContentControl.VerticalContentAlignment" Value="Stretch" /> <Setter Property="ToolTip" Value="{Binding ToolTip}" /> <Setter Property="Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate TargetType="{x:Type s:ToolboxItem}"> <Grid> <Rectangle Name="Border" StrokeThickness="1" StrokeDashArray="2" Fill="Transparent" SnapsToDevicePixels="true" /> <ContentPresenter Content="{TemplateBinding ContentControl.Content}" Margin="{TemplateBinding Padding}" SnapsToDevicePixels="{TemplateBinding UIElement.SnapsToDevicePixels}" ContentTemplate="{TemplateBinding ContentTemplate}"/> </Grid> <ControlTemplate.Triggers> <Trigger Property="IsMouseOver" Value="true"> <Setter TargetName="Border" Property="Stroke" Value="Gray" /> </Trigger> </ControlTemplate.Triggers> </ControlTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Style> <Style TargetType="{x:Type s:Toolbox}"> <Setter Property="SnapsToDevicePixels" Value="true" /> <Setter Property="Focusable" Value="False" /> <Setter Property="Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate> <Border BorderThickness="{TemplateBinding Border.BorderThickness}" Padding="{TemplateBinding Control.Padding}" BorderBrush="{TemplateBinding Border.BorderBrush}" Background="{TemplateBinding Panel.Background}" SnapsToDevicePixels="True"> <ScrollViewer VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Auto"> <ItemsPresenter SnapsToDevicePixels="{TemplateBinding UIElement.SnapsToDevicePixels}" /> </ScrollViewer> </Border> </ControlTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> <Setter Property="ItemsPanel"> <Setter.Value> <ItemsPanelTemplate> <WrapPanel Margin="0,5,0,5" ItemHeight="{Binding Path=DefaultItemSize.Height, RelativeSource={RelativeSource AncestorType=s:Toolbox}}" ItemWidth="{Binding Path=DefaultItemSize.Width, RelativeSource={RelativeSource AncestorType=s:Toolbox}}" /> </ItemsPanelTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Style> </ResourceDictionary> Example usage: <Toolbox x:Name="NewLibrary" DefaultItemSize="55,55" ItemsSource="{Binding}" > <ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <StackPanel> <Image Source="{Binding Path=url}" /> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> </Toolbox> The object that I get is a database object. When using a static resource I get the Image object. How to retrieve this Image object from a datatemplate? I though that I could use this tutorial: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb613579.aspx But it does not seem to solve the problem. Could anyone suggest a solution? Thanks!

  • WPF ComboBox Binding to non string object

    - by Mike L
    I'm using MVVM (MVVM Light Toolkit) and have a property on the view model which exposes a list of objects. The objects contain two properties, both strings, which correlate to an abbreviation and a description. I want the ComboBox to expose the pairing as "abbreviation - description". If I use a data template, it does this easily. I have another property on the view model which represents the object that should display as selected -- the chosen item in the ComboBox. I'm binding the ItemsSource to the list, as it represents the universe of available selections, and am trying to bind the SelectedItem to this object. I'm killing myself trying to figure out why I can't get it to work, and feeling more like a fraud by the hour. In trying to learn why this works, I created the same approach with just a list of strings, and a selected string. This works perfectly. So, it clearly has something to do with the typing... perhaps something in choosing equality? Or perhaps it has to do with the data template? Here is the XAML: <Window x:Class="MvvmLight1.MainWindow" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="MainWindow" Height="300" Width="300" DataContext="{Binding Main, Source={StaticResource Locator}}"> <Window.Resources> <ResourceDictionary> <ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries> <ResourceDictionary Source="Skins/MainSkin.xaml" /> </ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries> <DataTemplate x:Key="DataTemplate1"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <TextBlock TextWrapping="Wrap" Text="{Binding CourtCode}"/> <TextBlock TextWrapping="Wrap" Text=" - "/> <TextBlock TextWrapping="Wrap" Text="{Binding CourtDescription}"/> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> </ResourceDictionary> </Window.Resources> <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot"> <ComboBox x:Name="cmbAbbrevDescriptions" Height="35" Margin="25,75,25,25" VerticalAlignment="Top" ItemsSource="{Binding Codes}" ItemTemplate="{DynamicResource DataTemplate1}" SelectedItem="{Binding selectedCode}" /> <ComboBox x:Name="cmbStrings" Height="35" Margin="25" VerticalAlignment="Top" ItemsSource="{Binding strs}" SelectedItem="{Binding selectedStr}"/> </Grid> </Window> And, if helpful, here is the ViewModel: using GalaSoft.MvvmLight; using MvvmLight1.Model; using System.Collections.Generic; namespace MvvmLight1.ViewModel { public class MainViewModel : ViewModelBase { public const string CodesPropertyName = "Codes"; private List<Court> _codes = null; public List<Court> Codes { get { return _codes; } set { if (_codes == value) { return; } var oldValue = _codes; _codes = value; // Update bindings and broadcast change using GalaSoft.Utility.Messenging RaisePropertyChanged(CodesPropertyName, oldValue, value, true); } } public const string selectedCodePropertyName = "selectedCode"; private Court _selectedCode = null; public Court selectedCode { get { return _selectedCode; } set { if (_selectedCode == value) { return; } var oldValue = _selectedCode; _selectedCode = value; // Update bindings and broadcast change using GalaSoft.Utility.Messenging RaisePropertyChanged(selectedCodePropertyName, oldValue, value, true); } } public const string strsPropertyName = "strs"; private List<string> _strs = null; public List<string> strs { get { return _strs; } set { if (_strs == value) { return; } var oldValue = _strs; _strs = value; // Update bindings and broadcast change using GalaSoft.Utility.Messenging RaisePropertyChanged(strsPropertyName, oldValue, value, true); } } public const string selectedStrPropertyName = "selectedStr"; private string _selectedStr = ""; public string selectedStr { get { return _selectedStr; } set { if (_selectedStr == value) { return; } var oldValue = _selectedStr; _selectedStr = value; // Update bindings and broadcast change using GalaSoft.Utility.Messenging RaisePropertyChanged(selectedStrPropertyName, oldValue, value, true); } } /// <summary> /// Initializes a new instance of the MainViewModel class. /// </summary> public MainViewModel() { Codes = new List<Court>(); Court code1 = new Court(); code1.CourtCode = "ABC"; code1.CourtDescription = "A Court"; Court code2 = new Court(); code2.CourtCode = "DEF"; code2.CourtDescription = "Second Court"; Codes.Add(code1); Codes.Add(code2); Court code3 = new Court(); code3.CourtCode = "DEF"; code3.CourtDescription = "Second Court"; selectedCode = code3; selectedStr = "Hello"; strs = new List<string>(); strs.Add("Goodbye"); strs.Add("Hello"); strs.Add("Ciao"); } } } And here is the ridiculously trivial class that is being exposed: using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Text; namespace MvvmLight1.Model { public class Court { public string CourtCode { get; set; } public string CourtDescription { get; set; } } } Thanks!

  • WPF DataGrid RowDataBound?

    - by SiN
    Ok this is driving me mad, I feel like a total Newbie. I'm using WPF's DataGrid control from Dynamic Data Display with .NET 3.5. Link on Codeplex here I want an equivalent to the classic GridView's RowDataBound event, and I can't find any. I tried working with LoadingRow, but it fires every time I scroll. I'm trying to change the background color of certain cells in my grid based on a database values. I'm new to WPF. Should I be using the XAML binding?

  • Using RIA Services FilterDescriptor from code behind

    - by Fermin
    Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to use the FilterDescriptor control from code behind? On the page load of my form I set the datasource of a grid in the code behind, not using a DomainDataSource control, like: TestDomainContext context = new TestDomainContext(); dataGridEmployees.ItemsSource = context.EmployeePositions; context.Load(context.GetEmployeesWithPositionQuery()); I have a textbox on my page that the user can enter into to filter on employee position. Is it now possible to add FilterDescriptor to the source of the DataGrid in code behind? Or would I manually need to filter the results of the context.GetEmployeesWithPositionQuery, for example on KeyUp event of the filter TextBox?

  • jqGrid: how to change cell padding

    - by Maurice
    Hi, I'm using jqGrid3.6.5 on google hosted jQueryUI1.8.2 and jQuery1.4.2 I want to change the cell padding of a jqGrid. For testing purposes I want to set it to 10px all around each cell. The only option I've come across while googling is the following: add padding with CSS. eg. #grid-id td{ padding:10px; } set cellLayout option to 21 (paddingleft + paddingright + borderleft) When I have no set width on any of the columns in my colModel, this works like expected. Though when I resize one of the headers, or set a column width in the colModel, headers and cells aren't aligned anymore. Anyone know how to fix this or know an alternative way to alter cell padding?

  • Entity Framework: How to bind related products

    - by Waheed
    I am using the following Linq query from p in Product.Include("ProductDetails.Colors") where p.ProductID.Equals(18) select p; And then using the result of this query to bind the GridView. The productDetails are bind to the grid fine, but the Colors are not bind. To bind colors i am using <%# Eval("Colors.CategoryName") %. Error is " Field or property with the name 'Colors.CategoryName' was not found on the selected data source." But in a loop i am getting this fine. foreach (ProductDetails proDet in pd.ProductDetails) { string bar = proDet.BarCode; string color = proDet.Colors.CategoryName; }

  • What is the best Battleship AI?

    - by John Gietzen
    Battleship! Back in 2003, (when I was 17,) I competed in a Battleship AI coding competition. Even though I lost that tournament, I had a lot of fun and learned a lot from it. Now, I would like to resurrect this competition, in the search of the best battleship AI. Here is the framework: Battleship.zip The winner will be awarded +450 reputation! The competition will be held starting on the 17th of November, 2009. No entries or edits later than zero-hour on the 17th will be accepted. (Central Standard Time) Submit your entries early, so you don't miss your opportunity! To keep this OBJECTIVE, please follow the spirit of the competition. Rules of the game: The game is be played on a 10x10 grid. Each competitor will place each of 5 ships (of lengths 2, 3, 3, 4, 5) on their grid. No ships may overlap, but they may be adjacent. The competitors then take turns firing single shots at their opponent. A variation on the game allows firing multiple shots per volley, one for each surviving ship. The opponent will notify the competitor if the shot sinks, hits, or misses. Game play ends when all of the ships of any one player are sunk. Rules of the competition: The spirit of the competition is to find the best Battleship algorithm. Anything that is deemed against the spirit of the competition will be grounds for disqualification. Interfering with an opponent is against the spirit of the competition. Multithreading may be used under the following restrictions: No more than one thread may be running while it is not your turn. (Though, any number of threads may be in a "Suspended" state). No thread may run at a priority other than "Normal". Given the above two restrictions, you will be guaranteed at least 3 dedicated CPU cores during your turn. A limit of 1 second of CPU time per game is allotted to each competitor on the primary thread. Running out of time results in losing the current game. Any unhandled exception will result in losing the current game. Network access and disk access is allowed, but you may find the time restrictions fairly prohibitive. However, a few set-up and tear-down methods have been added to alleviate the time strain. Code should be posted on stack overflow as an answer, or, if too large, linked. Max total size (un-compressed) of an entry is 1 MB. Officially, .Net 2.0 / 3.5 is the only framework requirement. Your entry must implement the IBattleshipOpponent interface. Scoring: Best 51 games out of 101 games is the winner of a match. All competitors will play matched against each other, round-robin style. The best half of the competitors will then play a double-elimination tournament to determine the winner. (Smallest power of two that is greater than or equal to half, actually.) I will be using the TournamentApi framework for the tournament. The results will be posted here. If you submit more than one entry, only your best-scoring entry is eligible for the double-elim. Good luck! Have fun! EDIT 1: Thanks to Freed, who has found an error in the Ship.IsValid function. It has been fixed. Please download the updated version of the framework. EDIT 2: Since there has been significant interest in persisting stats to disk and such, I have added a few non-timed set-up and tear-down events that should provide the required functionality. This is a semi-breaking change. That is to say: the interface has been modified to add functions, but no body is required for them. Please download the updated version of the framework. EDIT 3: Bug Fix 1: GameWon and GameLost were only getting called in the case of a time out. Bug Fix 2: If an engine was timing out every game, the competition would never end. Please download the updated version of the framework. EDIT 4: Results!

  • WPF Binding Failure performance hit vs Exception

    - by Aran Mulholland
    when we bind to heterogeneous collection of objects, not all objects have the same set of properties. in the output window we get a message like: System.Windows.Data Error: 39 : BindingExpression path error: 'RoundingFactor' property not found on 'object' ''MultiLineTextMarkingScheme' (HashCode=7262386)'. BindingExpression:Path=RoundingFactor;.......... This doesn't appear to be an exception, but we are concerned it has a performance impact. Should we be concerned and create a view model that has all the properties we wish to bind to (and have the properties that dont exist on the underlying element return null) or can we just leave it. This situation often occurs in a grid scenario where there might be large numbers of these binding failures.

  • C# ListView Detail, Highlight a single cell

    - by Mike Christiansen
    Hello, I'm using a ListView in C# to make a grid. I would like to find out a way to be able to highlight a specific cell, programatically. I only need to highlight one cell. I've experimented with Owner Drawn subitems, but using the below code, I get highlighted cells, but no text! Are there any ideas on how to get this working? Thanks for your help. //m_PC.Location is the X,Y coordinates of the highlighted cell. void listView1_DrawSubItem(object sender, DrawListViewSubItemEventArgs e) { if ((e.ItemIndex == m_PC.Location.Y) && (e.Item.SubItems.IndexOf(e.SubItem) == m_PC.Location.X)) e.SubItem.BackColor = Color.Blue; else e.SubItem.BackColor = Color.White; e.DrawBackground(); e.DrawText(); }

  • ExtJS: Ext.data.DataReader: #realize was called with invalid remote-data

    - by TomH
    I'm receiving a "Ext.data.DataReader: #realize was called with invalid remote-data" error when I create a new record via a POST request. Although similar to the discussion at this SO conversation, my situation is slightly different: My server returns the pk of the new record and additional information that is to be associated with the new record in the grid. My server returns the following: {'success':true,'message':'Created Quote','data': [{'id':'610'}, {'quoteNumber':'1'}]} Where id is the PK for the record in the mysql database. quoteNumber is a db generated value that needs to be added to the created record. Other relevant bits: var quoteRecord = Ext.data.Record.create([{name:'id', type:'int'},{name:'quoteNumber', type:'int'},{name:'slideID'}, {name:'speaker'},{name:'quote'}, {name:'metadataID'}, {name:'priorityID'}]); var quoteWriter = new Ext.data.JsonWriter({ writeAllFields:false, encode:true }); var quoteReader = new Ext.data.JsonReader({id:'id', root:'data',totalProperty: 'totalitems', successProperty: 'success',messageProperty: 'message',idProperty:'id'}, quoteRecord); I'm stumped. Anyone?? thanks tom

  • How to implement search on jqgrid?

    - by Edward Tanguay
    So I've got basic example of jqgrid working in ASP.NET MVC, the javascript looks like this: $(document).ready(function() { $("#list").jqGrid({ url: '../../Home/Example', datatype: 'json', myType: 'GET', colNames: ['Id', 'Action', 'Parameters'], colModel: [ { name: 'id', index: 'id', width: 55, resizable: true }, { name: 'action', index: 'action', width: 90, resizable: true }, { name: 'paramters', index: 'parameters', width: 120, resizable: true}], pager: $('#pager'), rowNum: 10, rowList: [10, 20, 30], sortname: 'id', sortorder: 'desc', viewrecords: true, multikey: "ctrlKey", imgpath: '../../themes/basic/images', caption: 'Messages' }); Now I am trying to implement the search button that they have in the jqgrid examples (click on Manipulating/Grid Data). But I don't see how they implement it. I'm expecting e.g. a "search:true" and a method to implement it. Has anyone implemented search on jqgrid or know of examples that show explicitly how to do it?

  • PropertyGrid PaintValue problem: How to remove (and paint outside) the standard rectangle?

    - by Pedery
    This might be a straightforward question, even though I haven't found an easy solution to it: I've implemented my custom UITypeEditor with the sole purpose of adding a PaintValue to bools. For the sake of the discussion, let's assume that PaintValue will either paint a checked or unchecked radiobutton. Question 1: Now, here's the problem: It seems like PaintValue automatically inserts a 20x13px rectangle after all paint code has completed. Naturally, a radiobutton inside a black rectangle is ugly. Can I easily instruct or override this rectagle not to be painted? Question 2: In this respect, is it possible to paint on top of the propertygrid's native look - meaning could I paint something in order to obscure (part of) the black line separating two grid cells vertically? The purpose of doing this would be to indicate that two values were linked, like constrained width/height to an aspect ratio.

  • OnVisualChildrenChanged in silverlight?

    - by user275561
    WPF has a method that you can override which is the OnVisualChildrenChanged so when Children are added or removed you know about them. However, it silverlight there is no such method. So how would I go implementing this? I am trying to create a BubbleBreaker type of game and so I have a class that extends the Canvas. The canvas will lay out those said bubbles in a matrix grid. When they pop I need to know to move the bubbles to the left.

  • wpf toolkit (Feb 2010) datagrid with MVVM - style reveals name of view model on 'spare column'

    - by Andy Clarke
    Hi, I've just updated my app with the latest WPF toolkit and I've now got an issue with my styling. When I bind some data with, for example, two columns to the grid, the spare area at the right shows the name of the ViewModel in the header. I can understand why, because the data grids data context is the ViewModel and I'm defining my header style as follows ... <WpfToolkit:DataGridHeaderBorder <Border BorderBrush="Blue" BorderThickness="0,1,0,0"> <TextBlock Text="{Binding}" Margin="4,0,4,0" /> </Border> </WpfToolkit:DataGridHeaderBorder> Do I now need a separate style for the 'spare column' or something? Can anyone assist please? Cheers, Andy

  • Cannot change font size in Tk

    - by FireAphis
    Hello, I'm trying, for the first time, to create a GUI in Ruby using Tk. I've copied a code snippet from one of the numerous web tutorials and try to change the font for one of the labels, but nothing seems to affect how the text is presented. Here's the code: require 'tk' root = TkRoot.new('title'=>'MCIS') defaultFont = TkFont.new("weight"=>'bold', "size"=>20) Lbl = TkLabel.new(root) do text "Boooo" borderwidth 5 font defaultFont foreground "red" relief "groove" grid('column'=>3, 'row'=>0) end Tk.mainloop() I see the effects of all the parameters of the label but not the font. I've tried to change the size, the weight, give different family names, leave just one parameter; nothing works - the font stays default as it was. Surprisingly it doesn't report any errors, everything looks fine. Maybe it's versions problem?
