    I just edited the htaccess file to include: AuthType Basic AuthName "My Protected Area" AuthUserFile /home/path/to/public_html/ Require valid-user I then created a htpasswd file via the htpasswd command. I have enabled the module: LoadModule authn_file_module modules/mod_authn_file.so in the Apache configuration. Now, when I load the page I now get a 500 error and apache log says "configuration error: couldn't check user. No user file?: /"

  • Outlook 2010 Auto Responder Rule Not Working (Error)

    In Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 I've created a template to use as an auto responder and I set a rule to respond using the template if my name is in the "to line". Upon recieving any message the rule reports an error but gives no explination of what the error is. My goal here is simply to make an auto responder, if there is a simpler way/workaround I would love any help getting the to work as I am leaving town very shortly. Thank you!

    When I run the installer for both taglocity 2 and 3, during the installation I get the following error: Error 1001: Exception occurred while initializing the installation: System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorException: Configuration system failed to initalize. When I try to continue with the installation by clicking OK, a dialog appears with the title ADX Loader with the message: The system cannot find the file specified. Clicking OK causes the installation to roll back. I’m using Outlook 2007 on Windows XP.

    I am having some problems with my freshly installed Windows XP on VirtualBox. I tried installing Google Chrome on it, and the error I get is: Google Update installation failed with error 0x80040890 It is genuine Windows with SP3. I also tried using VMware player, but it has the same problem. When the same Windows is installed on a real machine, there is no problem. Any ideas what might be the cause?

    I've created a database and a user, and allowed access via the following: create user 'someuser'@'%' identified by 'password'; grant all privileges on somedb.* to 'someuser' with grant option; however, when I try to connect to MySQL I get the following error: $ mysql -u someuser -p > Enter Password: > ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'someuser'@'localhost' (using password: YES) If "%" is the wildcard, then wouldn't it also enable localhost?

    There is a static class Pipe, defined in C++ header that I'm including. The static method I'm interested in calling (from Objetive-c) is here: static ERC SendUserGet(const UserId &_idUser,const GUID &_idStyle,const ZoneId &_idZone,const char *_pszMsg); I have access to an objetive-c data structure that appears to store a copy of userID, and zoneID -- it looks like: @interface DataBlock : NSObject { GUID userID; GUID zoneID; } Looked up the GUID def, and its a struct with a bunch of overloaded operators for equality.     I am trying to build the Itellesoft BugTrap source using Visual Studio 2008. I have downloaded and unziped the BugTrap source and the zlib source. I navigated down to ./BugTrap/Win32/BugTrap and opened BugTrap.sln (suggest by the author here). I used Build-Build Solution and the build failed with a compiler error: fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'zip.h': No such file or directory I opened the project properties and added the path to the zlib-vc/zlib/include folder to the list of "Additional Include Directories" and tried to build again. The second build attempt failed with a linker error: fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'zlibSD.lib' I opened the zlib project and built the source. The zlib build succeeded. However, the bin directory does not contain a zlibSD.lib. The closest file in name is zlibMSD.lib. This poster on CodeProject seemed to have the same problem I did. But there is no resolution posted. Hopefully someone out there has experience building this project and can point me in the right direction, I've played with the binary distribution and it seems really slick.

  • Handling Errors in PHP

    I have a custom class that, when called, will redirect to a page and send a 'message_type' and 'message' variable via GET. When the page opens it checks for these variables and displays a 'success', 'warning', or 'error' message depending on the 'message_type' variable. I made it so the user thinks they stay on the same page. It also allows for other variables to be passed along with the message. Is this good practice, or should I just start using exceptions? Example: //Call a static function that will redirect to a page, with an error message RedirectWithMessage::go('somepage.php', MessageType::ERROR, 'Error message here.'); The following checkMessage() function is an include file: function checkMessage() { if((isset($_GET['message_type']) && strlen($_GET['message_type'])) && (isset($_GET['message']) && strlen($_GET['message_type']))) { DisplayMessage::display($_GET['message_type'], $_GET['message']); return true; } return false; } On the page that is redirected to, call checkMessage(); //If a message is received, display it. If not, do nothing checkMessage(); I know this might be vague, and I can supply more code if necessary. I guess the issue is that I don't have much experience using exceptions, but I think they seem cumbersome (writing try-catch blocks everywhere).   • Is it possible to unstick a remote IIS ASP server after an exception hangs the session?

    I have been coding an app in classic ASP that accesses 2 Access databases. I had a page I was working on throw an exception, which is normal during development and causes no lasting problems. This time however, after the exception any attempt to open either of the databases would freeze the session with an infinite script timeout. If I delete the session cookie I an able to access ASP pages again until I try to open the database again. The database that was open when the exception was thrown is left open. There is a LDB lock file and I can't rename or delete either the LDB or MDB file, though I can download the MDB file with FTP. The 2nd access database is not open but any attempt to read this also hangs the session. Accessing HTML pages is fine. The site is hosted with Hostway and they are not interested ("Coding problem = Your problem" even though it leaves my site dead in the water, I suspect until the next reboot, whenever that might be). Here is the dump from the relevant ASP page that threw the exception: Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0115' Unexpected error /translatestats.asp A trappable error (C0000005) occurred in an external object. The script cannot continue running. Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0240' Script Engine Exception /translatestats.asp A ScriptEngine threw exception 'C0000005' in 'IActiveScript::Close()' from 'CActiveScriptEngine::FinalRelease()'. Is there any way I can unstick the site / force close the database remotely ?

  • How to check what goes wrong in $view->render with Zend Framework?

    Hi, I'm working on a CMS with Widgets. On my localhost the followong code works perfect, but I have no idea what I'm doing wrong ... The neede files exist, I think and I get no error message. As far as I can see, the error occurs in the one before last line of code and I get no error message. $view = new Zend_View(); $view->setScriptPath(APPLICATION_PATH . '/../public/websites/' . My_Cookie::get('alpha_key') .   • Errors with redefinitions after upgrade to XCode 3.2.3

    I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard and Xcode 3.2.5 so I could test on my iPod Touch and iPhone and ran into some problems with the project I was working on. First it couldn't find a Base SDK, then my old frameworks weren't hooking up correctly. Finally after setting the Project Format to Xcode 3.1 compatible (3.2 also worked) and the Base SDK for all configurations to iOS 4.2, then setting my iOS deployment target to iOS 3.0 I was able to get the system to find a Base SDK and attempt a build. That's when the frameworks didn't want to cooperate. 4/6 I'm using displayed in red, so I re routed the path to the iPhone simulator 4.2 platform which worked perfectly. I was able to build my project, no errors or warnings and my app worked fine. I went to work last night thinking I had fixed the problem. This morning I fired up the laptop and went to build my code base and now have 1142 errors all of which have to do with code I haven't written deemed as being redefined. Suggestions? The following is just a small sample of the error list (obviously don't need to see all 1142) //Frameworks/Foundation.framework/Headers/NSZone.h:48: error: redefinition of 'NSMakeCollectable' /Frameworks/Foundation.framework/Headers/NSObject.h:65: error: duplicate interface declaration for class 'NSObject' /Frameworks/Foundation.framework/Headers/NSObject.h:67: error: redefinition of 'struct NSObject'

  • Django Interrupted system call when sending email

    Hi, Sometimes, when submitting a form (pretty much any form on my site that sends me an email), I get the following error: File "/usr/lib/python2.5/smtplib.py", line 603, in starttls (resp, reply) = self.docmd("STARTTLS") File "/usr/lib/python2.5/smtplib.py", line 378, in docmd return self.getreply() File "/usr/lib/python2.5/smtplib.py", line 352, in getreply line = self.file.readline() File "/usr/lib/python2.5/socket.py", line 381, in readline data = self._sock.recv(self._rbufsize) error: (4, 'Interrupted system call') My code is sending email via gmail. I am also using django contact-form which does the same thing. The problem doesn't always happen. It seems very random. At one point today it got so bad that it displayed the error every time I submitted a form. Restarting apache fixes the problem for one submission and then it does it again. I have checked the RAM and there is plenty available (about 350MB available). Can someone lead me in the right direction? What does this error mean? What can I do to prevent this. Thanks.
