  • Help with intel Imac 2008 Audio not working

    I installed Ubuntu 12.04 and I get no audio except if i insert speakers and set them as headphones. This means really weird feedback and little volume. i'd like to set it back to the mac's default speakers but currently no matter what graphical interface i go into such as Audio or Alsamixer i can not fix the problem.Ive run alsamixer and looked thoroughly throught the forums but cannot find the answer to my problem. When i input cat /proc/asound/cards i get 0 [Intel ]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel HDA Intel at 0x50600000 irq 47 Any help would be very much appreciated and as a newcomer i would be glad to give you any information you need.     Hi I have a webservices running on a server, which converts word document into pdf using word automation. I have given a windows network user account in the identity tab on the MS Office word component using the DCOMCNFG.exe. I am getting below mentioned error Exception Message: The message filter indicated that the application is busy. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8001010A (RPC_E_SERVERCALL_RETRYLATER)) But, if I Remote Desktop into that server using the account mentioned in the components identity tab, then it works fine. If I logoff from that server then its giving the above error. Anyone got any idea!! Many thanks in advance

    Hi, I'm editing a vb.net app for a mate and part of the requirements are to copy merge fields from one word document to another. I can copy them across using document.content.text but they come out as text (should've figured this i guess). I think i've got them selected by: Dim tDocFields As Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Fields tDocFields = tDocument.Content.Fields I'm then activating the doc i want to copy into and i think i need to then copy into that doc using the related word app. vDocument.Activate() vWord.Selection. ??? Insert() ??? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated... Am i on the right lines even?

For example: Following could be the content of the Word Document {Address} {PhoneNumber} Hello {Name}, How are you doing? In C# I would like to do something like this to replace all the placeholders in the Word document: using(WordDocument doc = WordDocument.Load("Mail.docx")){ var person = new {Name = "John Smith", Address="42 Wallaby Way, Sydney", PhoneNumber="555-555-5555"}; doc.Template(person); doc.Print(); } The resulting document would look like this: 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney 555-555-5555 Hello John Smith, How are you doing? Any libraries out there (preferably free) that let's me do this? Edit: I am not asking you to find anything that let's me do this. If that was the case, I would do a Google search by myself.   • Do word boundaries work on symbol characters?

    I'm trying to implement word boundaries in my emoticons feature for a chat. But for some reason I can't seem to get the word boundaries to work. I am new to regex. So when I do: var reg = /\b\Hi\b/gi; var str = 'HiHiHi Hi HiHiHi Hi'; alert(str.replace(reg, '')); This happens: Jsfiddle It actually works fine, and does remove those 2 Hi's that are standing alone. But when I change the reg to an escaped smiley and then change the string: var reg = /\b\:\)\b/gi; var str = 'HiHi:) :) HiHiHi :)'; alert(str.replace(reg, '')); This happens: Jsfiddle It just doesn't work. The string stays the same. Is it that word boundaries can't be used on symbols? If so, how does Facebook do it on their chats?

  • SSTP client disconnects shortly after successfully connected to VPN

    I'm successfully authenticating and connecting to a SSTP VPN (on windows 2008) from my windows 7 machine, but for some reason, the connection is disconnected about a 1-2 seconds after it's established. I've done the following: Defined a SSTP VPN on my windows server 2008. Defined the same machine as CA. Issued the needed certificates and published them on the client. I'm currently testing this VPN inside my LAN so all the needed ports are opened. Here are the event log entries when trying to connect: Error Log (Client): The user HOME\User dialed a connection named Home VPN which has terminated. The reason code returned on termination is 829. Error Log (Server-VPN): The user HOME\User connected on port VPN0-0 on 7/27/2012 at 1:57 AM and disconnected on 7/27/2012 at 1:57 AM. The user was active for 0 minutes 0 seconds. 312 bytes were sent and 4528 bytes were received. The reason for disconnecting was user request. What would be the issue? How can I resolve or debug it? UPDATE: I've found an event log (Log=System, Source=RasSstp) message on the windows 7 machine that tries to connect to the VPN: The SSTP-based VPN connection to the remote access server was terminated because of a security check failure. Security settings on the remote access server do not match settings on this computer. Contact the system administrator of the remote access server and relay the following information: SHA1 Certificate Hash: 065D681...520375552F SHA256 Certificate Hash: 18DED363...EEEE28CFD00

  • Problems with cross forest authentication in SQL Reporting

    We're currently running an SQL 2008 R2 Cluster with Reporting Services running, all for use with System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 (RU3). Our users are on a different domains to the SCOM and SQL servers (we have two domains as we are in the process of a domain migration) We have no problems at all with users accessing reports via the SCOM Console or the Web interface if they are on the new domain which runs at 2008 R2 functional level. However users on the old domain (which runs at a 2003 functional level) cannot access reports on SCOM or via the web interface (http://sqlserver/reports) The error we get is: An error occurred when invoking the authorization extension. (rsAuthorizationExtensionError) For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors Taking the errors advise we logged on to the SQL server as a user on the old domain (which works fine!) and then try to authenticate with the reporting via the web interface which produces this most useful of errors: An error occurred when invoking the authorization extension. (rsAuthorizationExtensionError) The creator of this fault did not specify a Reason. Things we've tried: Recreating the trust between domains Ensuring the SQL Reporting service account was a member of Windows Authorization Access Group on the 2003 domain Added users on the 2003 domain explicitly to the Reporting Users group on the SQL Server Has anyone come across this issue before perhaps in a different scenario? If so how was it resolved? Thanks in advance for any help.
