  • How to process requests twice in Apache

    In order to perform realistic tests for a new backend server, I'd like to process all Apache requests twice. So simply handle all the live requests with the old server, as it's done right now, but then also 'duplicate' the requests to a different virtual host, where the new backend is deployed, which will process the request and log the response. What's the best / most simple way to achieve this in Apache? (the backend is a FastCGI process)

  • Any script or command line tool that will allow me to sync a local folder with webdav?

    I have a local folder on my mac that I want to sync with a webdav server. There are a lot of files in my folder and I would need that after I edit some files or add/remove folder to be able to sync the changes to the webdav server ignoring what it is on the server and always using my files. Is there any script or tool that I can use from command line to do that? And mounting the resource is not a solution.

    I'm attempting to accomplish something like the below: node 'basenode' { class { 'puppet' : disable => false, } } node 'child' inherits 'basenode' { class { 'puppet' : disable => true, } } This gives me: err: Could not retrieve catalog from remote server: Error 400 on SERVER: Duplicate definition: Class[Puppet] is already defined How can I override this setting for this single node, and still have a parameterised class?

    I'd like to be able to launch either the AD user dialog, or the EMC mailbox dialog directly from a Powershell script to open a specific user. The workflow goes something to the effect of "Does everything look correct on this user? Y/N" to continuing on, or to bringing up the account to edit. There's no reason to completely duplicate the functionality of these dialogs. I don't mind requiring that EMC or ADU&C already be open before the script is run, if necessary.

    We have had several cases of file deletion in one of our windows file servers. Server is also a domain controller. Unfortunately we kept the auditing disabled completely due it being such a resource hog. So I was wondering If there is a way to audit a specific folder for a specific security group, for just file and folder deletions within the specified folder. Where can I find information about driver .inf files and how windows checks if they are usable? I know that many people do modify .inf files so there must be some information on the Internet. So I can type something like ssh test ssh ci ssh dev Instead of having to type ssh test.mydomain.com ssh ci.mydomain.com ssh dev.mydomain.com Right now I have separate entries for each one, but we have dozens of machines, so I'd rather have a default rather than have to duplicate everything so many times.

  • Possible to (re)sync 2 drives into RAID 1 Array?

    Have an XP machine with 2 drives configured in a RAID 1 array. Trying to fix a boot problem, I took the drives out to run chkdsk on them, and I accidentally got them out-of-sync (event logs, etc). Is there any way to duplicate the contents of one drive onto the other to restore their RAID-ness, or have I really messed myself up?

How can I find The default/current location of the MySQL binary files (often stored in a directory named data?) Any default or custom loaded cnf files?   • Avoid Windows Explorer to load complete executable file

    On Windows Vista, when browsing to a network folder containing executables, Windows Explorer seems to load all the files completely just to be able to show the executable icon (the resource monitor indicates loads of traffic during the loading of the directory) On XP only a part of the file is loaded. Is there a way to avoid the complete loading of these files? Note that disabling my anti virus does not help.
