  Hi all, I tried sample example given at this link - Collection View Programming Guide It is simple and it worked. Considering it as a reference I tried a simple application which will show a collection view of web views with some web page displayed over each web view. The model class has two properties: NSString *pageName, and NSURL *pageURL. I then followed each and every step written in tutorial above with required modifications but I was caught in the step - How to bind web view to collection view item? In binding tab it shows three possibilities : Editable, Hidden, Tool tip but none of these is working. Can anyone suggest me way to accomplish my requirement? Thanks, Miraaj

  Windows command line, I want to search a file for all rows starting with: # NNN "<file>.inc" where NNN is a number and <file> any string. I want to use findstr, because I cannot require that the users of the script install ack. Here is the expression I came up with: >findstr /r /c:"^# [0-9][0-9]* \"[a-zA-Z0-9_]*.inc" all_pre.txt The file to search is all_pre.txt. So far so good. Now I want to pipe that to another command, say for example more. >findstr /r /c:"^# [0-9][0-9]* \"[a-zA-Z0-9]*.inc" all_pre.txt | more The result of this is the same output as the previous command, but with the file name as prefix for every row (all_pre.txt). • CruiseControl failing view compilation with Asp.net MVC 2 RTM

  Tehnologies: - CruiseControlNet - Asp.net MVC 2 RTM - enabled view compilation The problem is UrlParameter.Optional setting. I can't seem to make it work when I use this setting inside a view. When I compile inside Visual Studio, everything works fine, but when CCNet uses MSBuild to compile it it fails with following error: errorCS0103: The name 'UrlParameter' does not exist in the current context pointing to the line inside my view where this parameter is set on: Html.RenderAction(...) that sets certain route parameter(s) to optional. I tried adding <%@ Assembly name="System.Web.Mvc" %> at the top of my view, but it didn't work either. It works of course when I disable view compilation, but that's not really an option. And I also don't want to set my optional parameters to string.Empty. Anyone has any hint on this?

• How to disable Center Key (CK) and let only Left Soft Key (LSK) be used in j2me

  Hello everyone, I created a custom item in which I need to use the Center Key for the purpose of selecting and I am successfully able to use it with the keyPressed event using the keyCode as -5. The problem is, as soon as I press the CK, it also clicks on the command above the LSK and that causes the menu to pop up. Is there any way that I can disable the CK for a particular command or something like that (because I dont need CK, since I can click on the command through LSK as well, I want to use the CK specifically for the custom item)? Inside my first UITableViewController I push an UIViewController that contains an UITabBarController: [[self navigationController] pushViewController:itemVC animated:YES]; Inside the UITabBarController I add an UITableViewController: ISSTableViewController *graphics = (ISSTableViewController *)[tabBarController.viewControllers objectAtIndex:3]; Inside the didSelectRowAtIndexPath I present a Modal View Controller using a UINavigationController: GraficoViewController *graph = [[GraficoViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"GraficoViewController" bundle:nil]; UINavigationController *navigationController = [[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:graph]; [self presentModalViewController:navigationController animated:YES]; [navigationController release]; Now the (BIG) question is: I have to hide the NagivationBar of my first UITableViewController inside my last view. I tried with this: [[[[[self parentViewController] parentViewController] parentViewController] navigationController] setNavigationBarHidden:YES]; but it doesn't work.   Hi to all, For several reasons that I don't have the liberty to talk about, we are defining a view on our Sql Server 2005 database like so: CREATE VIEW [dbo].[MeterProvingStatisticsPoint] AS SELECT CAST(0 AS BIGINT) AS 'RowNumber', CAST(0 AS BIGINT) AS 'ProverTicketId', CAST(0 AS INT) AS 'ReportNumber', GETDATE() AS 'CompletedDateTime', CAST(1.1 AS float) AS 'MeterFactor', CAST(1.1 AS float) AS 'Density', CAST(1.1 AS float) AS 'FlowRate', CAST(1.1 AS float) AS 'Average', CAST(1.1 AS float) AS 'StandardDeviation', CAST(1.1 AS float) AS 'MeanPlus2XStandardDeviation', CAST(1.1 AS float) AS 'MeanMinus2XStandardDeviation' WHERE 0 = 1 The idea is that the Entity Framework will create an entity based on this query, which it does, but it generates it with an error that states the following: "warning 6002: The table/view 'Keystone_Local.dbo.MeterProvingStatisticsPoint' does not have a primary key defined. The key has been inferred and the definition was created as a read-only table/view." And it decides that the CompletedDateTime field will be this entity primary key. We are using EdmGen to generate the model. Is there a way not to have the entity framework include any field of this view as a primary key? Thanks for help.

  Dear All , I have to generate keys from cWrsync, I have Command: "ssh-keygen -t rsa -q -N '' -f %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\.ssh\id_rsa" I placed that command into a batch file, that is pointing to cwRsync\bin directory, where ssh-keygen exe file is located, That batch file working fine Windows, But in Vista it is throwing unexpected result... the output of batch on Vista is: C:\Program Files\cwRsync\bin>ssh-keygen -t rsa -q -N '' -f C:\ProgramData\.ssh\i d_rsa open C:\\ProgramData\\.ssh\\id_rsa failed: Bad address. Saving the key failed: C:\ProgramData\.ssh\id_rsa. The intersting thing is that if i manually run this command in commandline , it again run successfully,

• Modal View Controller with keyboard on landscape iPad changes location when dismissed

  I present a modal view controller on my on my iPad with UIModalPresentationFormSheet presentation style and UIModalTransitionStyleCoverVertical transition style. The Modal View Controller contains a UIWebView with some TextFields on it. When the user taps one of the text fields the keyboard comes up. I have noticed that in landscape mode after the keyboard is shown, if I try to dismiss the modal view controller with animation the view changes its position from the center of the screen to the left side just before the animation starts.. This happens only if the keyboard is up and only in landscape mode on the iPad. If the user closes the modal view without pressing on any text field this doesn't happen. Anyone familiar with this strange behavior?

• Mac OS X bash prompt bug?

  I am trying to set my bash prompt to display the time and current directory in bold: export PS1="\[\e[1m\][\A] \w \$ \[\e[0m\]" This does apparently work, but when I use the command history (ctrl-r), after finding the command I was searching for and pressing enter, this line is not displayed correctly. Here is an example: [21:58] ~/Wyona/svn-repos/zwischengas $ (reverse-i-search)`ta': tail -F logs/log4j-cnode1.log becomes, after pressing enter: [21:58] ~/Wyona/svn-repos/zwischengas $ -F logs/log4j-cnode1.log Of course, this is not "really" a problem, since the command does work correctly, but it is still annoying. Does anybody know why this happens? And, more importantly, how to prevent/fix it? Thanks, Memo

  I have two NIB's ParentViewController.xib ChildViewController.xib ParentViewController.xib contains a UIView and a UIViewController. ChildViewController.xib contains a UIButton I want ChildViewController.xib to load in the ParentViewController.xib's UIView I have done the following: Created @property for UIView in ParentViewController Connected File's Owner to UIView in ParentViewController Set UIViewController in ParentViewController's NIB Name property to ChildViewController in Interface Builder Set ChildViewController view property to UIView in ParentViewController I was hoping this would load ChildViewController into my UIView in ParentViewController but no luck. I did get the following warning, which could be the culprit: 'View Controller (Child View)' has both its 'NIB Name' property set and its 'view' outlet connected. This configuration is not supported. I also have added additional code in ParentViewController's viewDidLoad(): - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; ChildViewController *childViewController = [[ChildViewController alloc]initWithNibName:@"ChildViewController" bundle:nil]; childViewController.view = self.myView; } Any thoughts on why ChildViewController does not load in the UIView of ParentViewController?

• Open working copy file from eclipse history view

  The history view of eclipse shows you a list of files changed in a certain revision. When you open the context menu on one of these you have the option 'Open' which opens a view of that file in that revision. How can I open the editor for the selected file, i.e. the file in the version of the working copy, right from the history view? Background is that I want to use the history view to find files that have been changed recently to do code reviewing. People commit via subversion and I use subclipse to connect eclipse to the subversion server. Today, I must use the 'Open resource'/'Open type' function and type the name of the file that I can read from the history view.

• Table View rotate, but not properly (shape change)

  Hello everyone, Here is the thing. I have a ViewController which contain a view in full window. And the program run in landscape mode. I want to put an UITableView over the full screen view but only on right half part of the screen. So I add a UITableView in my view controller, I used the Interface Builder in order to set the Table View in the upper half of the screen so It will be on the right part in LandscapeLeft mode. I searched for on a lot of forum how to rotate my Table View. And so it does... except, It get stuck on the upper half of the landscape mode, it should stick on the right half. I'm not a iPhone coder since long, so I'm a bit confused on how to solve this problem. Do you have any idea on how to resize or make the TableView rotate properly. Thanks,

• What is the accepted pattern for WPF commanding in MVVM?

  I'm working on a WPF app and I understand the command pattern pretty well, but I've found that there are several different implementations of the command pattern for MVVM. There's Josh Smith's implementation in his WPF sample app, the DelegateCommand from Prism, and the CommandBindings implementation. My question is, what is the generally accepted best practice for using commands with MVVM? My application uses Prism so DelegateCommand is available to us. The devs on my team are arguing about which approach is "best." Some don't like the numerous .cs files generated for each command, others prefer that everything be wired up via CommandBindings. I'm at a loss. Can anyone shed some light?

• Globbing with MinGW on Windows

  I have an application built with the MinGW C++ compiler that works something like grep - acommand looks something like this: myapp -e '.*' *.txt where the thing that comes after the -e switch is a regex, and the thing after that is file name pattern. It seems that MinGW automatically expands (globs in UNIX terms) the command line so my regex gets mangled. I can turn this behaviour off, I discovered, by setting the global variable _CRT_glob to zero. This will be fine for bash and other sensible shell users, as the shell will expand the file pattern. For MS cmd.exe users however, it looks like I will have to expand the file pattern myself. So my question - does anyone know of a globbing library (or facility in MinGW) to do partial command line expansion? I'm aware of the _setargv feature of the Windows CRT, but that expands the full command line. Please note I've seen this question, but it really does not address partial expansion.

• Iphone sdk - please help , 1 view takes me 45 minutes to do :(

  Hey, I've been working on a Cook Book App but each view ( or recipie page) takes about 45 minutes to complete so as you can imagine its taking forever. The problem is that I have to manually: Set up a gradient image for the back ground (Somtimes I have to add a few image backgrounds to fit the view as I often use a scroll view, not sure how this could be automated?) Put an image behind the titles "Recipe name" , "Time needed" and an image to go behind the recipie instructions ( again I might need a few of these depending on how long the description is. Creating view controllers for main sections such as "Breakfast" and "Lunch" and then I need to manually create view controllers to go in these sections. Theres got to be a way to set up a template for this? Thanks for reading all of this.

• UIViewController prevent view from unloading

  When my iPhone app receives a Memory warning the views of UIViewControllers that are not currently visible get unloaded. In one particular controller unloading the view and the outlets is rather fatal. I'm looking for a way to prevent this view from being unloaded. I find this behavior rather stupid - I have a cache mechanism, so when a memory warning comes - I unload myself tons of data and I free enough memory, but I definitely need this view untouched. I see UIViewController has a method 'unloadViewIfReloadable', which gets called when the Memory Warning comes. Does anybody know how to tell Cocoa Touch that my view is not reloadable? Any other suggestions how to prevent my view from being unloaded on Memory Warning? Thanks in advance

I am writing a program that will solve a type of min. spanning tree problem. i have 2 different algorithms that I've gotten working in two separate .cpp files i've named kruskels.cpp and prims.cpp. my question is this: each file takes the following command line to run it . time ./FILENAME INPUTFILE FACTOR i would like to make a program that, depending on what inputfile is entered, will run either kruskels.cpp or prims.cpp. how can i do this? this program must pass those command line arguments to kruskels or prims. each file (kruskels.cpp and prims.cpp) are designed to be run using those command line arugments (so they take in INPUTFILE and FACTOR as variables to do file io). this should be for c++.

  I am trying to upload images via a form which sits in partial view using MVC. It looks like this: cat input.txt myprogram -path "/home/user/work" I try to debug the code with gdb inside emacs, by M-x gdb, I try to load the program with the command: gdb cat input.txt myprogram -path "/home/user/work" However, gdb does not like it. Question cribbed from here. Unfortunately I don't understand the solution and am not sure what to do beyond compiling with the -g option and running the command M-x gdb.

  Hi Everyone this is what i want to achieve 1) Have a page control that allows user to do a swipe to 6 different pages 2) each page is a table view controller 3) everything is done via code NOT IB The tutorials that are i find either use VIEW CONTROLLER or is done via IB. I am not very good with IB and prefer to have everything done via coding. I have a TableViewController.h and TableViewController.m When the user navigate to the TableViewController view, my application will display a table view (filled with some information), when the user swip to the next page, another page (table view) will appear with another set of information... I am very new to objective-c and iphone programing...can some one pls guide me on how to achieve the above or is there another way to doing things? oh yar....i have a tab bar controller as my root controller...and for one of the tab (tab A) i have a navigation controller and my TableViewControllers falls inside tab A. • View Window Not Opening in Interface Builder

  When I double click the XIB file in Xcode, Interface Builder typically launches a few different windows, one of which is the View window. For some reason, however, the View window isn't opening for one of my XIB files. If I open any of the other XIB files, however, the View window does open. I'm not sure if there's a way to manually launch the View window (I looked through all of the menu items and couldn't find a way) or if I broke something in my XIB. Update: I created a connection from the app delegate to a navigation controller, which seemed to break something. When I cleared that connection, the View window came back.

• How to package AIR 2 native installer?

  I have made an AIR 2.0 app that uses NativeProcess so it needs to be packaged as a native installer (.exe) rather than a .air file. I first tried using Package Assistant but I kept getting an error telling me it cannot load keystore file. so I tried using the command line I use: pathToAirSDK>adt -args but I get an error telling me that "adt" is not a known command so I try: pathToAirSDK>adt.jar -args but I get a pop up telling me windows does not know how to open adt.jar files. Has anyone packaged a native installer for an AIR 2.0 app? How did you do it? edit forgot to mention I am doing this in windows using the windows command line.

• Combine two views into one view

  I have two views that I would like to combine into one. The first view shows all items of X where company ID = Y. This is to give preferential sort to the client first, and then everyone else. So I created a second view, all items of X, where company ID != Y. I created it as an Attachment to attach to the first view, but I don't think I got the intended result. How can I combine these views so the first view results are listed first, and then the second view is too, using the same pager, filters, and arguments? Is there any way of achieving this without programming it?
