  • Blurred refurbished TFT

    I got 3 refurbished PC+TFT 19". All TFT shows a very blurry image. I estimate the TFT's are 2-3 yrs old. The PC's running Windows7 Pro. The resolution is set to the TFT native values. It could be possible that all TFT's are broken but I have similiar models that are up to 5 yrs old, without any issue. I still think it could be a config issue but from the hardware it is possible that a TFT get broken I shows up a very blurry image. Update TFT HP 2035, grafic Intel Q35/GMA 3100, analog D-SUB connector, Manuf. date Sep 2005. Config. resolution 1600x1200, PPP 150% Without ClearType it is worst. Desktop Icon titles seems to be good and clear. But in Notepad for example the effect is that on the right of the characters is a pinky shadow.

  • CSS:Hover's problem with text that is hidden because of overflow:hidden ?

    In my application i have lots of divs containing text. All divs have overflow set to hidden so that the user does not see the text if the container is not large enough to contain the writing. If the user wants to see the hidden text they are supposed to mouse over the "box". The box then expands and shows the text. Sounds simple enough, right? Well i am having problems and the solution i tried did not work. The problem is that when the user mouses over the box, the text does indeed appears but stays really narrow and comes out of the bottom box, the sameway it would if overflow was set to visible. below is the standard css applied to the div box: .newevent { overflow: hidden; z-index: 0; } I Tried to fix this by setting a hover trigger, when it is activated the box widens, i thought that this would then mean there would be more space to display the text, below is the hover effect: .newevent div:hover { width: 200px; padding: 50px; background-color:#D4D4D4; border: medium red dashed; overflow: visible; z-index: 1; } How do i go about "redrawing" the text when it is hovered over, so that the text can use the new widened area rather than behaving as it is still in a narrow box.

  • XUL: create menu items dynamically and set "selected" attr

    I have a firefox extension Options pref panel, where I should dynamically create menu items and select particular item to be current. here is the XUL file part <menulist id="rss_service_combo"> <menupopup id="rss_service_menu"/> </menulist> Then in load event of the pref panel, using js I append menuitem elements into menupop. This is working fine. The only problem is that even if I set the selected element the item is not selected and combo box is initially empty. The only way is working at the moment is if I manually add those menuitems into XUL file and set selected attribute, but I need to do it dynamically.

    Hi, This is the output of my 'git log'. But when I do a 'git pull' , the top commit causes conflict. So I did a 'git rebase -abort' commit 7826b25db424b95bae9105027edb7dcbf94d6e65 commit 5d1970105e8fd2c7b30c232661b93f1bcd00bc96 But my question is Can I 'save' my commit to a patch and then do a git pull? Just like I want to emulate * I did not do a git commit, but I did a 'git stash' instead * Do a git pull so that I should not get any merge error So I need to somehow 'turn back the clock'. Is that possible in git?

  • Adding a web address to a <a href="value">

    I have an upload script that write a index.html file, I modified it to mail me the results, however the point to the root, since the email isn't in the root, the image doesn't load. How do I append the code to add "http://www.home.html/uploaded" prior to the ". $value ." so that the images show up in the email.   • Large transactions causing "System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired" error?

    My application requires a user to log in and allows them to edit a list of things. However, it seems that if the same user always logs in and out and edits the list, this user will run into a "System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired." error. I've read comments about increasing the timeout period but I've also read a comment about it possibly caused by uncommitted transactions. And I do have one going in the application. I'll provide the code I'm working with and there is an IF statement in there that I was a little iffy about but it seemed like a reasonable thing to do. I'll just go over what's going on here, there is a list of objects to update or add into the database. New objects created in the application are given an ID of 0 while existing objects have their own ID's generated from the DB. If the user chooses to delete some objects, their IDs are stored in a separate list of Integers. Once the user is ready to save their changes, the two lists are passed into this method. By use of the IF statement, objects with ID of 0 are added (using the Add stored procedure) and those objects with non-zero IDs are updated (using the Update stored procedure). After all this, a FOR loop goes through all the integers in the "removal" list and uses the Delete stored procedure to remove them. A transaction is used for all this.     I can firgure out how to push a UIView from a Tableview and have the "child" details appear.     How would I go about determining the guest's name given its GUID or vice-versa, preferably with only the Hyper-V/Server Core stock install at hands? Rationale: I am in favor of having a repository of dirty tricks to revert to when in great need. To immediately quiesce all (storage) operations of a VM guest without losing the state, I used to run kill 17 <all VM's virtual processes> (signaling SIGSTOP) and resumed afterwards using kill 19 <all VM's virtual processes> (signaling SIGCONT) in ESXi/vSphere shell. I tried the same technique with Hyper-V using Process Explorer's "Suspend" functionality on the vmwp.exe processes and it seemed to work. I have yet to find a way for easily identifying the processes to suspend, though - the vmwp command line is only listing a GUID.

    Say I have an environment variable myvar myvar=\tapple\n when the following command will print out this variable perl -e 'print "$ENV{myvar}"' I will literally have \tapple\n, however, I want those control chars to be evaluated and not escaped. How would I achieve it? In the real world $ENV residing in substitution, but I hope the answer will cover that.

    Hi everyone, Please bear with me as being a bit of a newcomer at 19" rack-mounted equipment. I've thought a fair bit lately about the best way of getting 4x or 6x of 2.5" hard drives into my rack and are right now currently slightly confused about would be the best (economical) solution. After scouting the market, I've found this type of disk array units that offers built in RAID and a lot of drive slots and a truckload of geek cred, but at a price that just isn't going to fit in my budget. I've also found these type of cute adapters that takes two 2.5" drives in one 3.5" slot, but I will obviously need a chassie with a lot of 3.5" spaces in order to make it work. So what is the most economical way to house my harddrives in my rack?

    Just something I'd like to play with, I would like to create a "virtual" file/directory in the File System of Linux or Mac OS X (Not sure if I can share the same code - does POSIX help?), for example /foo and then perform custom code when something is read or written to it.     I need to find a way of taking a hibernate object and discovering at runtime all of the getter methods that relate to persistable fields. I'm using annotations in the classes but have previously had difficulties working with them (I ran into a 2 year old bug the java developers still haven't fixed). Does anyone know how I can do this please, ideally without using annotations? Thanks. PS - What I'm trying to do here is to update a new object with values from an existing object dynamically.

    I want to get Default Windows Forms Unhandled-Exception Dialog whenever my C# application encounters U-E. In vs 2005 when I turn off jit Debugging in app.conf like this: <configuration> <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="false" /> <configuration> the application behaves correctly and shows Windows Forms U-E default dialog, with Continue, Quit, call stack and all. However in vs 2008, on the same machine or different, even though I diable jit I still get Default .NET Unhandled-Exception Dialog, with Debug, Send Report and Don't Send buttons. How can I make my vs 2008 app act like the one I make in vs 2005, to show Windows Forms U-E dialog box? Please do not recommend to use AppDomain.CurrentDomain.UnhandledException += new UnhandledExceptionEventHandler(CurrentDomain_UnhandledException); just because I don't use custom handler in my vs 2005 project, why would I use in vs 2008? I want to let this job do CLR. Any help is appreciated

    Hi, I'm a bit new to MATLAB. Basically, I have a 25x25 Matrix, complete with various random entries ranging from 0 to 3. I need to write a program that reads this matrix, and assigns x-y coordinates to the entries, so that when I ask for an input of a particular x-y coordinate which has, say an entry of 3, then it will result in an error.
