  • Knowing the type of the stored proc when invoking from C#

    I am making a windows service to be able to run operations on a sql server database (insert, edit, etc) and invoke Stored Procs. However, is there a way for me to know the type of the SP? When invoking from C#, I need to knof if it is returning 1 value, or more, or none (so I can use executereader, scalar, etc)? Thanks

    Hi, anyone has tried to create a symfony form filter from a class which has a field of type "date" ? When i do it, i get this error: 500 | Internal Server Error | Doctrine_Connection_Mysql_Exception SQLSTATE[HY093]: Invalid parameter number: number of bound variables does not match number of tokens stack trace I think the error dependens on this command: 'SELECT b.id AS b_id, b.day AS b_day FROM birthday b WHERE b.day = ? AND b.day <= ?', array('month' = '1','day' = '2', 'year' = '2014') but i dont know how can i solve it.. Any idea? Javi

  • Date type in oracle does not include time values

    I have a PHP application using an Oracle XE database. Whenever I add a date the hours minutes, and seconds seem to get left out. Is there some special format, or type I should use to be able to store this? I have tried using to_date, and specifying the format I am using.     So, I am just starting Java and, even though I have looked in some question about it here at stackoverflow.com and elsewhere, haven't been able to find a straightforward answer to why isn't possible to overload a function just by changing the return type. Why is it so? Will that provably change in a future version of Java? By the way, just for reference, is this possible in C++? Thanks.

    Does the original data type of the username string in a call to FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie(...) make any difference with regards to security or code maintainability? As I understand it, the cookie is encrypted and used to identify a user on each request. I'm curious whether it should affect the design of the primary key on my Users table in my database, eg. Guid vs int or a unique username string.
