  • Why does xvid encoding lag/lock up windows 7?

    It seems to encode just fine so you can see the results http://www.sendspace.com/file/msku4q If you look at the mouse cursor you'll see firefox locks up once i click it. Calculator seems fine but when i try to move it, it locks up. The resource monitor and task manager are up so you can see if the CPU is being used up. It isnt as you can see <30% was used.

    Although GraphicsMagick is a fork of ImageMagick, there are dissimilarities between the two, namely in the support of image stacking in ImageMagick, but not in GraphicsMagick. Taken from the ImageMagick documentation: convert wand.gif \( wizard.gif -rotate 30 \) +append images.gif In this example, the rotate command is applied only to the wizard.gif resource. My question is: Is there an equivalent to image stacking in GraphicsMagick?

    Is there a way to have a sudoers entry that allows executing of only a particular command, without any extra arguments? I can't seem to find a resource that describes how command matching works with sudoers. Say I want to grant sudo for /path/to/executable arg. Does an entry like the following: user ALL=(ALL) /path/to/executable arg strictly allow sudo access to a command exactly matching that? That is, it doesn't grant user sudo privileges for /path/to/executable arg arg2?

    I am receiving the following error on a Puppet agent when trying to install multiple packages at once: err: /Stage[main]/Template::Infrastructure/Package[undef]/ensure: change from absent to present failed: Execution of '/usr/bin/yum -d 0 -e 0 -y install undef' returned 1: Error: Nothing to do The code generating the error is: $packages = [ 'qemu-kvm', 'qemu-kvm-tools', 'drbd84-tools', 'kmod-drbd84' ] package { $::packages : ensure = 'installed', require = Class['yumrepos::elrepo'] } The problem is intermittent. Is there a better way to install multiple packages at once without having to setup a package resource for each?

  • Running resize2fs on /

    I'm trying to resize an ext4 filesystem on a Fedora 11 box. Using fsdisk and lvm, I was able to grow the partition and logical volume containing the filesystem. When I try to run resize2fs on the device containing the filesystem (/dev/sda2 in this case), I get: "Device or resource busy while trying to open /dev/sda2, Couldn't find valid filesystem superblock" I've tried this from a rescue disk that doesn't have the filesystem mounted, no joy. Maybe resize2fs doesn't know about ext4?

( both got the same structure) An object Reporting containing for one logRequest, a list of logReport with a date. I tryed to set an EmbededId, that would be an attribute of the logRequest. And that's the problem i got. I don't arrive to mannage embedded id. I see endless entries every couple seconds of: Operation: Create File C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\csharp C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\code C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\web and so on for the rest of the templates Then it says the result is PATH NOT FOUND.     I've created a performance counter that shows a fraction of an incremeted value (RawFraction type) over a base value (RawBase). Unfortunately, when monitoring this value, it only shows the percentage when one of the counters is incremented. At all other times it it is sampled, it shows 0. Is there some way to tell the counter to hold onto the last value until the next time it needs to recalculate the fraction?

    One of my colleagues uses TextPad, and one feature I found really useful is the Auto-Reload. (The feature has been described in this SO quesion: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1246083/alternative-to-textpads-prompt-to-reload-file). Basically, it keeps reloading the file without any prompt from the user, which is really helpful when monitoring log files that are updated in real-time. Is there something similar available for Emacs? If not, can anyone whip up the required elisp magic?

Why am I not seeing the access as the impersonated user?

  • How can an IBM WebSphere MQ's Queue Manager's local queues be enumerated?

    I'm trying to write a simple tool for monitoring the state of a Queue Manager. One of the things I'd like to monitor is the current queue depth of each queue. I haven't been able to find a way to programmatically enumerate all of the queues on a particular Queue Manager, though. Do any of the MQ APIs provide this functionality? I'd prefer to do this with C, but if it's only possible with another language's bindings, I'd at least like to know that.
