  • UINavigationBar multi-line title

    - by benasher44
Is there a straightforward way of overriding the titleView of the current navigation bar item in a navigation bar within a navigation controller? I've tried creating a new UIView and replacing the titleView property of topView with my own UIVIew with no success. Basically, I want a multi-line title for the navigation bar title. Any suggestions?

  • Substitution till the end of the line in bash

    - by Werner
Hi, I have a huge text file with lots of lines like: asdasdasdaasdasd_DATA_3424223423423423 gsgsdgsgs_DATA_6846343636 ..... I would like to do, for each line, to substitute from DATA_ .. to the end, with just empty space so I would get: asdasdasdaasdasd_DATA_ gsgsdgsgs_DATA_ ..... I know that you can do something similar with: sed -e "s/^DATA_*$/DATA_/g" filename.txt but it does not work. Do you know how? Thanks

  • Why won't "!important" override ":first-line"?

    - by bazzlevi
    I am trying to do the tutorial in Chapter 6 of the 2nd edition of "CSS: The Missing Manual", and I've run into an issue I'm trying to understand. I have one style that looks like this: #main p:first-line { color: #999999; font-weight: bold; } Later I have another style that looks like this: #main p.byline { color: #00994D !important; font-size: 1.6em; margin: 5px 0 25px 50px; } I am confused because the second one won't override the color choice in the first one despite the fact that the second one has "!important" in it. I put both classes into an online specificity calculator, and the second one comes out being more specific, so I'm doubly confused. By the way, the inclusion of "!important" is the work-around suggested in the errata for the book. Odd that it still doesn't work! Here's the code for the entire page: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <title>CSS Typography</title> <style type="text/css"> html, body, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, p, ol, ul, li, pre, code, address, variable, form, fieldset, blockquote { padding: 0; margin: 0; font-size: 100%; font-weight: normal; } table { border-collapse: collapse; border-spacing: 0; } td, th, caption { font-weight: normal; text-align: left; } img, fieldset { border: 0; } ol { padding-left: 1.4em; list-style: decimal; } ul { padding-left: 1.4em; list-style:square; } q:before, q:after { content:''; } body { color: #002D4B; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 62.5% } #main h1 { color: #F60; font-family: "Arial Black", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 4em; } #main h2 { font: bold 3.5em "Hoefler Text", Garamond, Times, serif; border-bottom: 1px solid #002D4B; margin-top: 25px; } #main h3 { color: #F60; font-size: 1.9em; font-weight: bold; text-transform: uppercase; margin-top: 25px; margin-bottom: 10px; } #main p { font-size: 1.5em; line-height: 150%; margin-left: 150px; margin-right: 50px; margin-bottom: 10px; } #main p:first-line { color: #999999; font-weight: bold; } #main ul { margin: 50px 0 25px 50px; width: 150px; float: right; } #main li { color: #207EBF; font-size: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 7px; } #main p.byline { color: #00994D !important; font-size: 1.6em; margin: 5px 0 25px 50px; } #main .byline strong { color: #207EBF; text-transform: uppercase; margin-left: 5px; } </style> </head> <body> <div id="main"> <h1><strong>CSS</strong> The Missing Manual</h1> <h2>Exploring Typographic Possibilities</h2> <p class="byline">november 30 <strong>Rod Dibble</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lorem Ipsum</li> <li>Reprehenderit qui in ea</li> <li>Lorem Ipsum</li> <li>Reprehenderit qui in ea</li> <li>Lorem Ipsum</li> <li>Reprehenderit qui in ea</li> </ul> <h3>Esse quam nulla</h3> <p>Ut enim ad minima veniam, quis nostrum exercitationem ullam corporis suscipit laboriosam, nisi ut aliquid ex ea commodi consequatur? • Zen Cart - Get Line items in Paypal?

    - by kylex
Is there anyway to guarantee line items be displayed in PayPal instead of the very generic description for all items combined? For example, if someone orders 3 items with the total of $100.00, paypal shows one item with "Items Purchased" as the description and the total cost. I'd like an itemized list. Often I need to view the items in Paypal and just need to know if this is possible and how to set it up.

  • Portable shebang line

    - by Mike
#!/usr/bin/perl This is the shebang line to a lot of scripts I'm writing lately. Hard coding the path of the binary seems like it could create some problems. For instance, if one of my users has Perl installed at /something_else/bin then they'd have to change all the shebangs. I've seen some tools that will automatically replace the shebangs, but I'm wondering if there is something simpler.

  • CSS new line issues

    - by user328371
Hi, I'm trying to create a breezebrowser template (used for generating image galleries locally, outputs HTML). I've taken the HTML from my wordpress template and managed to generate the following gallery http://uploads.peasyphotos.com/20100607t-candids/gallery/ but each image goes on a new line and i don't know why, i presume it's in the CSS. What should I be looking for in the CSS to try and stop this, or what can I put around my template code to disable the CSS for that part? Thanks

  • Scala command line parameters in eclipse?

    - by Mitch Blevins
Scala includes the continuations plugin now (yay), but must be enabled by passing "-P:continuations:enable" to the scala compiler. Is there a way to pass arbitrary arguments to scalac for the eclipse scala plugin? From: http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lang.scala/19439 the plugin is loaded by default, but it must be enabled by the command line argument -P:continuations:enable

  • New line in GridView cell

    - by Chris
I'm binding a GridView to an LINQ query. Some of the fields in the objects created by the LINQ statement are strings, and need to contain new lines. Apparently, GridView HTML-encodes everything in each cell, so I can't insert a <br /> to create a new line within a cell. How do I tell GridView not to HTML encode the contents of cells? Maybe I should use a different control instead?

  • ruby Test::Unit Command line options?

    - by Joe Soul-bringer
Hi all, When running tests in Ruby's unit::test framework, is there a really easy way to specify, from the command-line, that only one test should be run (that is, specify the test class and test member variable)? If not, is there another framework that has this feature?

  • Sign a Word VBA project/file via command line or other form of automation

    - by Malcolm
Is there a way to automate code signing a VBA project in a Word 2003 and/or Word 2007 document? By automate I mean via a command line utility or via Word VBA automation? Motivation: I would like to code sign several Word templates as part of an automated daily build and distribution cycle. Right now we have to do this manually by opening each document in Word and resigning. Thank you, Malcolm

  • Multi-line EditText with Done action button.

    - by kefs
Is it possible to have an EditText widget with android:inputType="textMultiLine" set, and android:imeOptions="actionDone" at the same time? I'd like a multi-line edit box, with the action button on the keyboard to be Done, not Enter (Carriage Return), but it doesn't seem to be working.. Thanks in advance
