    Hi, my app involves some work with the camera, therefore it needs to handle capturing of images with different resolution. My targets are 1.6 - onwards. Does anyone know what to pass in the value argument for Camera.Parameters.set("picture-size", value) I have look at the Donut release of the Camera app, however, it was not very clear what exactly has been used there as the value is retrieved from the SharedPreferences. // Set picture size parameter. String pictureSize = mPreferences.getString(CameraSettings.KEY_PICTURE_SIZE, getString(R.string.pref_camera_picturesize_default)); mParameters.set(PARM_PICTURE_SIZE, pictureSize); Lookin at the strings.xml I can see that R.string.pref_camera_picturesize_default = 2048x1536, however, I'm not sure what other values can be passed there? Is it any resolution you fancy, or are they only certain resolutions the drivers can handle? Thanks.

    I am looking for T-SQL code to list all tables in all databases in SQL Server (at least in SS2005 and SS2008; would be nice to also apply to SS2000). The catch, however, is that I would like a single result set. This precludes the otherwise excellent answer from Pinal Dave: sp_msforeachdb 'select "?" AS db, * from [?].sys.tables' The above stored proc generates one result set per database, which is fine if you are in an IDE like SSMS that can display multiple result sets. However, I want a single result set because I want a query that is essentially a "find" tool: if I add a clause like WHERE tablename like '%accounts' then it would tell me where to find my BillAccounts, ClientAccounts, and VendorAccounts tables regardless of which database they reside in.

    Hi, I've got a Flex 3 project. Flex makes an ExternalCall to some Javascript. The Javascript is then turned into XML. But, my xml isn't parsing in IE. It works in all other browsers. I think that the problem is that I haven't set the XML's content-type and IE doesn't like that. So my code looks like: myReturn = '<myXMLReturn>' + myReturn + '</myXMLReturn>'; myReturn = '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>' + myReturn; xmlReturn = new XML(myReturn); How would I set: header('Content-type: application/xml'); in Actionscript?     Say I have a sorted-set of integers, xs, and I want to retrieve all the integers in xs that are [x, y), ie. between x and y. I can do: (select #(and (>= % x) (< % y)) xs) But this is inefficient - O(n) when it could be O(log n), I expect the number of elements returned to be small. Using take-while and drop-while would let me exit once I've reached y, but I still can't jump to x efficiently. I am just learning clojure so here is how I would do it in C++: set<int>::iterator first = xs.lower_bound(x); set<int>::iterator last = xs.lower_bound(y); for (; first != last; ++first) // do something with *first Can I do this in clojure?

What is better (performance or otherwise): $var = false; If ($a == $b) { $var = true; } or If ($a == $b) { $var = true; } else { $var = false; } I've heard arguments for both ways. I find the first cleaner to ensure I have it set, and a little less code too. The pro being that you may only need to set it once without conditional. But the con being that if the argument is true, it gets set twice. I am assuming the second way is probably best practice

I tried to use something like $('select:first').focus(); or $("select").first().focus(); or $(':visible:first').focus(); or $('enabled:visible:first').focus(); or other variations I could think of, but have not succeeded.     I normally do this to set a new Map to a private variable: public static void setListaClausulas(Map<String, Clausula> nvLista) { listaClausulas = new TreeMap<String, Clausula>(nvLista); } I suppose this is ok to set a new copy of the nvLista and all it's members and not a reference, is it? But now I have a Map inside another Map and I'm doing this: public static void setListaClausulas(Map<String, Map<String, Clausula>> nvLista) { listaClausulas = new TreeMap<String, Map<String, Clausula>>(nvLista); } Is this the correct way to do it or do you recommend something else? What I want is to set a new copy of nvLista (and all it's elements) and not copy just the reference.

  • Can you set up a gaming LAN using OpenVPN installed in a VMware guest OS and be playing the game on the host OS?

    I would like to setup a gaming VPN. Ie. I have some games that work over LAN and would like to play them with people that are not on my LAN. I know I can do this with OpenVPN. My ultimate goal would be to run OpenVPN portably on my host OS and not even need any virtualization. As such i don't want to install it on my host, but i'm fine with running it portably. I'm even fine with temporarily adding registry keys, and then running a .reg file to remove these entries once i'm done. To this effect i have installed OpenVPN on a virtual machine and diffed the registry. I then manually (using a .reg file) added all the keys that seem important on my host OS and copied the installation folder of OpenVPN onto my host machine. Then i try to run openVPN GUI 1.0.3 as a test and it says "Error opening registy for reading (HKLM\SOFTWARE\OpenVPN). OpenVPN is probably not installed". I verified that that key is indeed in the registry with all subkeys and it looks correct. I have tried running the GUI as an administrator and in compatibility mode with no success. I am running Windows 7. If this fails then i would be happy with installing OpenVPN on a virtual machine in VMWare but they key is that i will be running the game installed on my host machine. The first question for this option is if this is even possible. The second is, that I can't get the VM to have internet access if I use bridging but i can if i use NAT. Is it possible to do this game VPN setup with VMWare guest OS running using NAT? Summary of questions: -Is it possible to run openVPN portably and if so what did i miss above? -If it's not possible to run it portably, then can setup a gaming LAN by installing OpenVPN in a guest OS with NAT and how can i do this? -If the above is not possible then can i install OpenVPN in a guest using bridging and if so how can i set this up with a Windows 7 host and Windows XP guest as currently i can't get the guest to be able to access the internet in bridging mode, but it working in NAT mode. -In general is there any good documentation on setting up a gaming LAN with OpenVPN (i am using 2.1.4) as i have never set up a VPN of any sort before so any help would be much appreciated.     I've set up a mediawiki with all the correct settings and enabled image uploading. When I do this manually this all works OK. I want to be able to upload screenshots automatically into my mediawiki using ZScreen. There is an option to do this: I press Test..., this work OK, however I'm unable to tell ZScreen to to actually get the picture into my mediawiki. There's no option to select mediawiki as my destination. How do I setup zscreen to upload to my mediawiki?

    I need to be able to set the date on Ubuntu (8.04.4 LTS) to the year 2040 (to test something that isn't relevant to this question). Is that possible? I can run: $ sudo date -s "15 JAN 2038 18:00:00" Fri Jan 15 18:00:00 PST 2038 ...but: $ sudo date -s "15 JAN 2039 18:00:00" date: invalid date `15 JAN 2039 18:00:00' Is the limit somewhere in 2038 (or prior to Jan. 15, 2039)? Does this change with different versions of Linux?

    Background: As part an automated testing suite I am building, I need to set up Autologon on my virtual machines 'on demand'. By on demand, I mean that I don't want to necessarily pre-configure my VM or any snapshot to have Autologon set up already, for security reasons and also a huge business case. My solution so far: I'm copying a script to the guest machine and then using Sysinternals PsExec to execute it. Maybe ForceAutoLogon isn't either, not sure yet. The Problem: I see PsExec executes this properly and all the values are in the registry, however when I restart the machine, the user isn't automatically logged on...When I run this a second time then restart the machine, the user is finally logged on. A diff between the registry states shows that the first time I run this, it is missing both the "1" for AutoAdminLogon, and also the DefaultPassword key. The second time I execute it, these values are correctly intact as I intended. So, what is going on here? Is this expected? This post claims in the end that it really all just works (the problem was that a logoff script was setting off the values). Doesn't seem to work for me however. Note this seems unique to Windows 7, does not occur in Windows XP Also note that you don't need PsExec to recreate the issue - just modify the registry yourself EDIT/update: Login interactively and run script (so, not executing it remotely), logging off automatically logs me back in (so, it works) remotely execute the script in guest when I'm interactively logged in, logging off automatically logs me back in (so, it works) remotely execute the script in guest when with non-interactive session if I log in afterwards (so, interactive now) then back off, it logs me back in (so, it then works) EDIT/update 2: This only occurs for Win7x86, Win7x64, Win8x64. This does not occur for Windows XP

I'm particularly concerned that, after installing MacPorts, it installed a bunch of junk in /opt. I don't think that directory even exists in a normal Mac OS X install.     It used to be in Windows XP that I could make Warcraft III files load automatically into the game by double clicking on them. This association was made by going to file associations ADVANCED area and using this line: "C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\War3.exe" -loadfile "%1" Note that it takes an argument and an option. However, in Windows 7, the "Default Programs" "Set Associations" area doesn't seem to have this advanced area. Can I still get these files to open automatically?

    It's great that Lion allows different spaces to have different wallpapers, but I have not found an easy way to get them all to use the same wallpaper. The only way I've accomplished it so far is to either manually change the wallpaper for each space or to close all of the spaces (except the one that has the wallpaper I want) and reopen them. Anybody have a solution to allow me to quickly set all spaces to the same wallpaper?
