    I need to centre align a horizontal menu. I've tried various solutions, including the mix of inline-block / block / center-align etc., but not being successful.     I want to have my list (nav) align to the center of an image (logo). I tried using vertical-align: middle;, but I couldn't get it to work when I floated the images left and right.     Hello all, I have tags in a html list, here is an example of two tags. <div class="tags"> <ul> <li> <a onclick="tag_search('tag1');" href="#">tag1 <span class="num-active">1</span></a> </li> <li> <a onclick="tag_search('tag2');" href="#">tag2 <span class="num-active">1</span></a> </li> </ul> </div> I would like to write a function that I can pass a string to, that will match the strings in the a hyperlink i.e. "tag1" or "tag2", if there is a match then increment the number in the span, if not then add a new li. The bit I am having trouble with is how do I search for a string in the div with class tags and then when I find a match identifying the element. I can't even do the first bit as I am use to using an ID or a Class.   • jQuery only firing last class in multiple-class click

    I have a set of links like so: <a href="#internalLink1" class="classA">This has Class A</a> <a href="#internalLink2" class="classB">This has Class B</a> <a href="#internalLink3" class="classA classB">This has Class A and Class B</a> And here's the corresponding jQuery: $('.classA').click(function(){ // do class A stuff }); $('.classB').click(function(){ // do class B stuff }); Currently, when I click on the first link with Class A, it does the Class A stuff like it's supposed to. Similarly, when I click on the second link with Class B, it does the Class B stuff like it's supposed to. No worries there. My issue is, when I click on the third link with BOTH classes, it only fires the function for whichever class comes last (in this case, class B. If I put class A at the end instead, it performs class A's function). I want it to fire both. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance. EDIT: To those posting fiddles, nearly all of them work, so as many have said, it's most likely not my code, but the way it displays in my file. For a little more clarification, I was teaching myself some jQuery and decided to try making a (very) simple "Choose Your Own Adventure" type game. Here's a jsfiddle containing the opening of my bare-bones-please-don't-laugh game. Click on "Hide in the bushes", then "Examine the victim", then "Take any valuables and leave, he's dead already" <-- THIS is where the issue is. It's supposed to add 98 gold ("hawks") to your inventory, AND tell you that your alignment has shifted 1 point towards Chaotic. At the moment, it only does the chaotic alert, and no gold gets added to your inventory. The other option (refresh the fiddle to restart) that adds money to your inventory, but DOES NOT make you chaotic, works just fine (if you select "Search him for identification" instead of "take the money and run") Sorry this is so long!

But when I override the onclick with my JS code, the alert does not pop up. Any ideas?     I am trying to use Cookie so that a default style OR a specific style is applied in reference to the anchor tag clicked, even when the browser is closed/reopen. So if the user clicked the second link, close or refresh the browser and reopen, than the style should still be active, if it is their first time the default should apply.   • Windows Backup failed with error 0x807800C5

    I setup backup of my Windows 8 laptop with Windows 7 File Recovery (known as Backup and Restore in Windows 7). Backup of files runs successfully. But if I try to create system image, it fails with error 0x807800C5: Error details on the dialog: The mounted backup volume is inaccessible. Error details in the system log: There was a failure in preparing the backup image of one of the volumes in the backup set. I save the backup to a network location, WD MyBookLive.   Edit: I tried some of the steps suggested in the various thread about this issue: Cleaned up the backup location: Removed MediaID.bin in the backup location. Removed folder <ComputerName> from WindowsImageBackup. Restarted backup resulted in the same error. However, the error dialog shows slightly different error message: The specified backup disk cannot be found. Performed System File Check by running sfc /scannow. It showed no errors. Running backup failed nevertheless. I tried searching Google for error code but I've found no solution so far. Update: I submitted technical support request to Microsoft. The first suggestion was to clean boot, but it didn't help. I pointed out that I had tried all the methods from the same problem on MS Answers, and nothing had helped.

    Nginx currently will not start due to the error mentioned in the title. Here's the actual error I'm getting: $ sudo /etc/init.d/nginx restart Restarting nginx: nginx: [emerg] unknown limit_req_zone "one" in /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/www.myhashimotosthyroiditis.com:15 nginx: configuration file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf test failed And this is immediately following creating the VM in question (www.myhashimotosthyroiditis.com), using a template I found here that was supposedly the "out-of-the-box-for-lazy-people" templates. I'm very new to Nginx and I could not find any helpful information via google or searching here, so I beg my pardon if this is a product of stupidity.   • Issues with ProxyPass and ProxyPassReverse when proxying to localhost and a different TCP port

    I am attempting to use ProxyPass and ProxyPassReverse to proxy requests through Apache to another server instance that is bound to the localhost on a different TCP port that the Vhost exists (VHost is bound to :80, when the target is bound to :5000). However, I am repeatedly receiving HTTP 503 when accessing the Location. According to the ProxyPass documentation... <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName apacheserver.domain.local DocumentRoot /var/www/redmine/public ErrorLog logs/redmine_error <Directory /var/www/redmine/public> Allow from all Options -MultiViews Order allow,deny AllowOverride all </Directory> </VirtualHost> PassengerTempDir /tmp/passenger <Location /rhodecode> ProxyPass http://127.0.0.1:5000/rhodecode ProxyPassReverse http://127.0.0.1:5000/rhodecode SetEnvIf X-Url-Scheme https HTTPS=1 </Location> I have tested binding the alternate server to the interface IP address, and the same issue occurs. The server servicing request is an instance of python paste:httpserver, and it has been configured to use the /rhodecode suffix (as I saw this to be mentioned in other posts about ProxyPass). The documentation from the project itself, Rhodecode, reports to use the above. The issue is persistent if I target another server that is serving on a different port. Does ProxyPass allow proxying to a different TCP port? [update] I won't delete this, in case someone comes across the same issue. I had set an ErrorLog, and in that ErrorLog the following error was reported: [Wed Nov 09 11:36:35 2011] [error] (13)Permission denied: proxy: HTTP: attempt to connect to 127.0.0.1:5000 (192.168.100.100) failed [Wed Nov 09 11:36:35 2011] [error] ap_proxy_connect_backend disabling worker for (192.168.100.100) After some more research, I attempted to set SELinux to permissive (echo 0 >/selinux/enforce), and try again. It turns out the SELinux boolean httpd_can_network_connect must be set to 1. For persistence on reboot: setsebool -P httpd_can_network_connect=1

    Hello, I created install script that will install SQL Server 2008 R2 on windows XP SP3, windows vista and windows 7. One of the command that i used in the installation is for silent installation of SQL Server 2008 R2. When i install it on windows XP everything works just fine but when i try to install it on Windows 7 i get an error. What am I doing wrong?
