• gcc compiling error on Solaris 10

  I want to compile a source code, but there are some compiling errors about __sync_xxx functions (__sync_bool_compare_and_swap etc.) GCC version on machine is 3.4.3 (it must be gcc 4.1 or over for supporting atomic builtins), so I have downloaded GCC v4.6, copied it to another directory (I didn't remove v3.4.3) then change the $PATH path for GCC but it doesn't work (the same error occurs). I want to ask that is only changing gcc path with export PATH=... enough for compiling with new GCC?

• How do I ensure AJAX still works after content moved from iFrame through DOM manipulation

Once I move the content out from the iFrame to the main page through DOM manipulation and remove the iFrame, AJAX stops working. How can I make it work? The images themselves are 300px x 300px, anyone know whats going on here?

  I'm trying to make a script that listens to a variable (int or Number) and then does certain functions whether the variable is going higher or lower. So for example if the number gets higher, it runs one function. If it gets lower, it runs another. Is this possible in AS3? Any ideas?

  Regarding gridviews that are not bound to a Data Source Control: In most GridView tutorials that I have seen, when just about any GridView event occurs, the end of the event handler will include BindDataGrid(). In some form, these BindDataGrid() functions 1) Grab data from the database 2) Assign any Filter or Sort expressions to the data, and 3) Bind the gridview to that data source (usually a DataView or DataTable. Is there a better way to provide filterable & sortable data to a GridView without having to hit the database so often? Thanks
