  • Android: stack management for views in a tab?

    I see some answers here prefer views over activities as contents of tabs. Correct me if I am wrong. My understanding is that by switching out views, it's possible to keep the navigation flow inside a tab (more user friendly, I think). But I wonder how to manage the view stack then in case of the back button events. Also this could cause one giant Activity with large amount of views, which might not be good. So I wish to know why exactly views as contents is preferred before I change my current application to this. Thanks,

    Soon I could use a SIP to GSM gateway, because I'll need to make phone calls from Germany to a mobile phone in Czech Republik. Hence, I thought about implementing one. Now, the questions are: Does such a solution already exist (for a reasonable price)? Is it possible to redirect a (voice) stream to a GSM connection with the available Android APIs (SDK or NDK)? Ideas, suggestions, comments are highly welcome.

I have the following structure: assets:(Where my xml file is) src(same level as assets) com msi androidrss(The calling java file is in here) I tried several variations of this: InputSource is = new InputSource("file://../../../../assets/Rss.xml"); But I always get a FNF Exception Any suggestions?   • Can't Get ANT build to work in eclipse

    Long story short: I want to add the --core-library flag at compile time to include a library that depends on some javax libraries that aren't included in the android platform. I have attempted the walkthrough here: http://commons.apache.org/scxml/usecases/scxml-stopwatch-on-android.html but nothing ever changed on the emulator. I don't think I can repackage the libraries I'm after because I cannot amend the callers to call the new packages without violating a license agreement. Please, someone, point me in the right direction.

    Hi I know that the function Location.getBearing() returns the bearing if any when in move public void onLocationChanged(Location lastLocation) { int bearing=lastLocation.getBearing() } ,so now bearing might be , 170 degrees..but, I'd like to know if there is anything in android that will give me the direction of the orientation (ex for 170 degrees , the direction is : SSE south, south east)

  • How to change the color of the navigation bar in more than one table view controller

    I am trying to figure out how to change the color of the table view navigation bar in multiple table views. The table views are all connected to a navigation controller. For example, I want one navigation bar to be blue, but another to be red. I have tried the code below in the AppDelegate.m file, but it just changes all the navigation bars to the same color. Is there anywhere else I could place this code to change the color in specific places. I've heard that I need to create new files, but I don't know where to place the code, or what code to use in the new files. I am somewhat new to this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated![[UINavigationBar appearance] setBarTintColor:[UIColor orangeColor]];

  • softkeyboard in landscape mode does not pop up in android emulator

    In android emulator, I am in landscape mode and double click the text edit panel. the softkeyboard does not show up. However, it works in portrait mode. I have check some of posts on line. They said because of hardkeyboard is available in landscape mode. If that so, how can i disable the hardkeyboard. Or is there any setting reason for this problem?

  • Android TimePicker hour field disappears after orientation change

    I am using a TimePicker under API 1.5 and when the orientation is changed on my device (a stock G1 running 1.6 - though NOT on the 1.5/1.6 emulator), the hour field goes blank. It still remembers the hour, it just doesn't show it. Is there any workaround for this?     i want multiple back buttons for the view i have click through , i saw this tutorial before, but now i can't find it anymore, can someone help me please for example i have view1 with button, after i click it the navigation controller will push to view2 , then on the navigation bar we have view1 (back) button which can go back to view1, inside view2 i had did the same like view1 but this time is go to view3, and on the navigation bar instead have one view2 (back) button, i want to have view1 and view2 both button so i can choose which view i want to go back to on view3 navigation bar left button will look this < view1 < view2

    Hi, I am writing an Android app, part of which will be a survey involving multiple pages of checkbox question and answers. I have created an activity to display the question and options (from the DB) and what I want to do now is when i press the "Next" button it should just reload the current activity with the next question set from the database. (the activity starts with survey.getNextQuestion() - so its just a case of refreshing the activity so it updates) Im sure this is a simple thing to do -any ideas? Thanks

    I would like to show a Navigation Controller after clicking a button. Every tutorial assumes the navigation controller will be the first screen so it links it to the App Delegate, but App delegate only appears at MainWindow.xib. How do you guys add a navigation controller to a view different than the MainWindow? Thanks!
