  • 3x3 Sobel operator and gradient features

    - by pithyless
    Reading a paper, I'm having difficulty understanding the algorithm described: Given a black and white digital image of a handwriting sample, cut out a single character to analyze. Since this can be any size, the algorithm needs to take this into account (if it will be easier, we can assume the size is 2^n x 2^m). Now, the description states given this image we will convert it to a 512-bit feature (a 512-bit hash) as follows: (192 bits) computes the gradient of the image by convolving it with a 3x3 Sobel operator. The direction of the gradient at every edge is quantized to 12 directions. (192 bits) The structural feature generator takes the gradient map and looks in a neighborhood for certain combinations of gradient values. (used to compute 8 distinct features that represent lines and corners in the image) (128 bits) Concavity generator uses an 8-point star operator to find coarse concavities in 4 directions, holes, and lagrge-scale strokes. The image feature maps are normalized with a 4x4 grid. I'm for now struggling with how to take an arbitrary image, split into 16 sections, and using a 3x3 Sobel operator to come up with 12 bits for each section. (But if you have some insight into the other parts, feel free to comment :)

  • Silverlight 3 - Data Binding Position of a rectangle on a canvas

    - by Blounty
    Hi Everyone, I am currently trying to bind a collection of objects to a Canvas in Silverlight 3 using an ItemsControl as below: <ItemsControl x:Name="ctrl" ItemsSource="{Binding myObjectsCollection}"> <ItemsControl.ItemsPanel> <ItemsPanelTemplate> <Canvas></Canvas> </ItemsPanelTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemsPanel> <ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Rectangle Stroke="LightGray" Fill="Black" StrokeThickness="2" RadiusX="15" RadiusY="15" Canvas.Left="{Binding XAxis}" Height="25" Width="25"> </Rectangle> </DataTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> </ItemsControl> Unfortunately it seems the binding on the Canvas.Left is being ignored. From what i have learned here it would appear this is due to the items being placed inside a content presenter not the actual canvas i have specified in the items panel. Is there a way i can use data binding to determine the position of elements on a canvas?

  • DHTML with Javascript and CSS is not working

    - by Dennis Hodapp
    So for some reason this unobtrusive javascript code is not working and I can't figure out for the life of me why it won't work. I dynamically change the className of a div element and therefore I expect the CSS to reflect that change. However it doesn't. Here's the simplified code. html: <head> <title>Your Page</title> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="us.js"></script> </head> <body> <div id="wrapper"> <h1 id="title">Your Page</h1> </div> </body> javascript: window.onload = function() { document.getElementById("wrapper").className = "2"; } css: #wrapper{ background-color: white; } #wrapper.1 { background-color: black; } #wrapper.2 { background-color: red; } #wrapper.3 { background-color: blue; } I look at the wrapper div in firebug and it shows the class being changed to "2". However, the webpage doesn't reflect that by changing the background color to be red. (it doesn't work with changing text color either. I tried that.). I know the CSS is correctly loading. So what is the problem?

  • C++ Formatting like visual studio c# formatting

    - by Fire-Dragon-DoL
    I like the way Visual studio (2008) format C# code; unfortunately it seems it doesn't behave in the same way when writing C++ code. For example, when I write a code in this way: class Test { public: int x; Test() {this->x=20;} ~Test(){} }; in C# (ok this is C++ but you can understand what I mean), this part: Test() {this->x=20;} Will become Test() { this->x=20; } This is obviusly a stupid example, but there are a lot of things where putting brackets in correct position, indenting code and other things with my own hands becomes boring. I can obviusly change editor if you suggest me a good one for C++ code, I would like to find something with these features: Intellisense (like vs, at least similiar) Custom class coloring (in c# they are cyan, why are they black in c++?) Wordwrap (possibly) Documentation when you mouse over a method/variable Auto formatting (when you close a bracket like "}" in c# you'll get everything well formatted) obviusly I can find other features, but this is what is in my mind at the moment. Thanks for any suggestion

  • Problem with extended ASCII characters in web page/master page

    - by Oyvind Brathen
    I have some localization problems in my webpage. There are basically two problems (that I suspect have a different sulution, but they are conseptually linked) First problem is this: I have a website that is using a master page. All text from the page is fine, but all text that comes from the master page file, get scrambled norwegian characters. For example Ø shows up as Ø. It seems that all characthers in the extended ASCII table gets scrambled this way. Afterwards, if I open the master page in Notepad the Ø looks normal, but if I remove the Ø and write a new Ø manually, then save the file from Notepad, and then open the website in the browser, it looks fine and the Ø is shown properly. So it seems that Visual Studio saves the characters wrongly in the master file, but correct for the aspx file. Any clue here? The second issue is norwegian characters coming from jQuery. All of these characters get's replaced by a questionmark with a black box around it. Here, modifying the js file in Notepad does not help, and it still display scrambled in the browser. Any input here would be appreciated.

  • How i can add border to ListViewItem, ListView in GridView mode.

    - by Andrew
    Hello! I want to have a border around ListViewItem (row in my case). ListView source and columns generated during Runtime. In XAML i have this structure: <ListView Name="listViewRaw"> <ListView.View> <GridView> </GridView> </ListView.View> </ListView> During Runtime i bind listview to DataTable, adding necessary columns and bindings: var view = (listView.View as GridView); view.Columns.Clear(); for (int i = 0; i < table.Columns.Count; i++) { GridViewColumn col = new GridViewColumn(); col.Header = table.Columns[i].ColumnName; col.DisplayMemberBinding = new Binding(string.Format("[{0}]", i.ToString())); view.Columns.Add(col); } listView.CoerceValue(ListView.ItemsSourceProperty); listView.DataContext = table; listView.SetBinding(ListView.ItemsSourceProperty, new Binding()); So i want to add border around each row, and set border behavior (color etc) with DataTriggers (for example if value in 1st column = "Visible", set border color to black). Can i put border through DataTemplate in ItemTemplate? I know solution, where you manipulate with CellTemplates, but i don't really like it. I want something like this if this even possible. <DataTemplate> <Border Name="Border" BorderBrush="Transparent" BorderThickness="2"> <ListViewItemRow><!-- Put my row here, but i ll know about table structure only during runtime --></ListViewItemRow> </Border> </DataTemplate>

  • How to avoid double divide in loop?

    - by ignaty
    Thank you for your help. My code looks like: var CatItems = ""; for(var x=0; x < data.PRODUCTS.length; x++) { if (x % 3 === 0) CatItems += '<li class="jcarousel-item jcarousel-item-horizontal jcarousel-item-'+[x]+' jcarousel-item-'+[x]+'-horizontal jcarousel-item-placeholder jcarousel-item-placeholder-horizontal">'; For example in JS: <li class="jcarousel-item jcarousel-item-horizontal jcarousel-item-'+[x]+' jcarousel-item-'+[x]+'-horizontal jcarousel-item-placeholder jcarousel-item-placeholder-horizontal"> And HTML out is: <li class="jcarousel-item jcarousel-item-horizontal jcarousel-item-0 jcarousel-item-0-horizontal jcarousel-item-placeholder jcarousel-item-placeholder-horizontal"></li> then <li class="jcarousel-item jcarousel-item-horizontal jcarousel-item-3 jcarousel-item-3-horizontal jcarousel-item-placeholder jcarousel-item-placeholder-horizontal"></li> then <li class="jcarousel-item jcarousel-item-horizontal jcarousel-item-6 jcarousel-item-6-horizontal jcarousel-item-placeholder jcarousel-item-placeholder-horizontal"></li> etc... What I need is that count goes as 0-1-2-3-4-5-etc, but with divide it goes 0-3-6-etc and jCarousel insert blank li's 1-2, 4-5, 7-8. How I can avoid "x" divide inside the loop? Tnak you!

My JS-foo is nonexistant, please help :)

  • asp.net Dynamic Data Site with own MetaData

    - by loviji
    Hello, I'm searching info about configuring own MetaData in asp.NET Dynamic Site. For example. I have a table in MS Sql Server with structure shown below: CREATE TABLE [dbo].[someTable]( [id] [int] NOT NULL, [pname] [nvarchar](20) NULL, [FullName] [nvarchar](50) NULL, [age] [int] NULL) and I there are 2 Ms Sql tables (I've created), sysTables and sysColumns. sysTables: ID sysTableName TableName TableDescription 1 | someTable |Persons |All Data about Persons in system sysColumns: ID TableName sysColumnName ColumnName ColumnDesc ColumnType MUnit 1 |someTable | sometable_pname| Name | Persona Name(ex. John)| nvarchar(20) | null 2 |someTable | sometable_Fullname| Full Name | Persona Name(ex. • HTTP Basic Authentication with HTTPService Objects in Adobe Flex/AIR

    - by Bob Somers
    I'm trying to request a HTTP resource that requires basic authorization headers from within an Adobe AIR application. I've tried manually adding the headers to the request, as well as using the setRemoteCredentials() method to set them, to no avail. Here's the code: <mx:Script> <![CDATA[ import mx.rpc.events.ResultEvent; import mx.rpc.events.FaultEvent; private function authAndSend(service:HTTPService):void { service.setRemoteCredentials('someusername', 'somepassword'); service.send(); } private function resultHandler(event:ResultEvent):void { apiResult.text = event.result.toString(); } private function resultFailed(event:FaultEvent):void { apiResult.text = event.fault.toString(); } ]]> </mx:Script> <mx:HTTPService id="apiService" url="https://mywebservice.com/someFileThatRequiresBasicAuth.xml" resultFormat="text" result="resultHandler(event)" fault="resultFailed(event)" /> <mx:Button id="apiButton" label="Test API Command" click="authAndSend(apiService)" /> <mx:TextArea id="apiResult" /> However, a standard basic auth dialog box still pops up prompting the user for their username and password. I have a feeling I'm not doing this the right way, but all the info I could find (Flex docs, blogs, Google, etc.) either hasn't worked or was too vague to help. Any black magic, oh Flex gurus? Thanks. EDIT: Changing setRemoteCredentials() to setCredentials() yields the following ActionScript error: [MessagingError message='Authentication not supported on DirectHTTPChannel (no proxy).'] EDIT: Problem solved, after some attention from Adobe. See the posts below for a full explanation. This code will work for HTTP Authentication headers of arbitrary length. import mx.utils.Base64Encoder; private function authAndSend(service:HTTPService):void { var encoder:Base64Encoder = new Base64Encoder(); encoder.insertNewLines = false; // see below for why you need to do this encoder.encode("someusername:somepassword"); service.headers = {Authorization:"Basic " + encoder.toString()}; service.send(); }

  • jQuery Flow Control (if then from URL params)

    - by Ryan Max
    Strangely enough I am more familiar with jQuery than I am with javascript. I need to be able to add a class to the body tag of a document depending on what specific forum page i'm on in a phpbb forum. Due to the nature of phpbb I can't actually do this flow control in php, so I am using jquery. Here's my code (the first part is an extend that gets the url parameters like so http://www.mysite.com/viewforum.php?f=3 var forum = $.getUrlVar('f'); will make forum == 3 because of the nature of phpbb i can't really do any flow control with php. So I am using jquery. This is my code: $(document).ready(function(){ $.extend({ getUrlVars: function(){ var vars = [], hash; var hashes = window.location.href.slice(window.location.href.indexOf('?') + 1).split('&'); for(var i = 0; i < hashes.length; i++) { hash = hashes[i].split('='); vars.push(hash[0]); vars[hash[0]] = hash[1]; } return vars; }, getUrlVar: function(name){ return $.getUrlVars()[name]; } }); }); $(document).ready(function(){ var forum = $.getUrlVar('f'); if (forum == 3){ $('body').toggleClass('black'); } }); Yet this isn't working. Any idea why not?

  • Winform User Settings - Allow multiple choice values at Runtime

    - by Refracted Paladin
    I created a simple User Settings Dialog by binding the Property.Settings to a PropertyGrid. This works like a charm but now I would like to allow only certain choices for some values. I have noticed that some Types will give a dropdown of possible choices. This is what I am shooting for but for, say, Strings. Example, one of the Settings is UserTheme which is a String. Black, Blue, Silver. The program reads that string from the Settings File and sets the Theme on Startup. I can type in a correct theme and it works but if I type in Pink it will not as there is not a pink option. This is my VERY simple UserSettingsForm code. #region FIELDS internal Settings userSettings; #endregion #region EVENTS private void frmEditUserControl_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { userSettings = Settings.Default; this.propertyGrid1.SelectedObject = userSettings; this.propertyGrid1.PropertySort = PropertySort.Alphabetical; } private void btnSave_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { userSettings.Save(); //this.DialogResult = DialogResult.OK; this.Close(); } private void btnCancel_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { userSettings.Reload(); this.Close(); } #endregion

  • Print raw data to a thermal-printer using .NET

    - by blauesocke
    I'm trying to print out raw ascii data to a thermal printer. I do this by using this code example: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322091 but my printer prints always only one character and this not until I press the form feed button. If I print something with notepad the printer will do a form feed automatically but without printing any text. The printer is connected via usb over a lpt2usb adapter and Windows 7 uses the "Generic - Generic / Text Only" driver. Anyone knows what is going wrong? How is it possible to print some words and do some form feeds? Are there some control characters I have to send? And if yes: How do I send them? Edit 14.04.2010 21:51 My code (C#) looks like this: PrinterSettings s = new PrinterSettings(); s.PrinterName = "Generic / Text Only"; RawPrinterHelper.SendStringToPrinter(s.PrinterName, "Test"); This code will return a "T" after I pressed the form feed button (This litte black button here: swissmania.ch/images/935-151.jpg - sorry, not enough reputation for two hyperlinks) Edit 15.04.2010 16:56 I'm using now the code form here: c-sharpcorner.com/UploadFile/johnodonell/PrintingDirectlytothePrinter11222005001207AM/PrintingDirectlytothePrinter.aspx I modified it a bit that I can use the following code: byte[] toSend; // 10 = line feed // 13 carriage return/form feed toSend = new byte[1] { 13 }; PrintDirect.WritePrinter(lhPrinter, toSend, toSend.Length, ref pcWritten); Running this code has the same effekt like pressing the form feed button, it works fine! But code like this still does not work: byte[] toSend; // 10 = line feed // 13 carriage return/form feed toSend = new byte[2] { 66, 67 }; PrintDirect.WritePrinter(lhPrinter, toSend, toSend.Length, ref pcWritten); This will print out just a "B" but I expect "BC" and after running any code I have to reconnect the USB cable to make it work agian. Any ideas?

  • Click event keeps firing

    I have absolutely no idea why this is happening but the following code seems to be executed a huge ammount of times in all browsers. $('#save_albums').click(function(){ for(var i = 1; i <= 5; i++){ html = $('#your_albums ol li').eq(i).html(); alert(html); } }); Looks fairly innocent to me... Here's the code in it's entirety $(function(){ $('#query').keyup(function(){ var text = encodeURI($(this).val()); if(text.length > 3){ $('#results').load('search.php?album='+text, function(){ $('.album').hover(function(){ $(this).css('outline', '1px solid black') },function(){ $(this).css('outline', 'none') }); $('.album').click(function(){ $('#fores').remove(); $('#yours').show(); if($('#your_albums ol li').length <= 4){ albumInfo = '<li><div class="album">' + $(this).html() + '</div></li>'; if($('#your_albums ol li').length >= 1){ $('#your_albums ol li').last().after(albumInfo); } else{ $('#your_albums ol').html(albumInfo); } } else{ alert('No more than 5 please'); } }); $('#clear_albums').click(function(e){ e.preventDefault; $('#your_albums ol li').remove(); }); $('#save_albums').click(function(){ for(var i = 1; i <= 5; i++){ html = $('#your_albums ol li').eq(i).html(); alert(html); } }); }); } else{ $('#results').text('Query must be more than 3 characters'); } }); });

  • Automatically Sizing UIView after Adding to Window

    - by Kristopher Johnson
    I have an iPad app that switches between different views in its main window. The view-switching code looks like this: - (void)switchToViewController:(UIViewController*)viewController { if (currentViewController != viewController) { [currentViewController.view removeFromSuperview]; currentViewController = viewController; [window addSubview:viewController.view]; } } The problem is that when the new view (a UISplitView) appears in landscape orientation, it is not sized to fill the entire window. There is an empty black space on the right. If I rotate the device and then rotate back, the view sizes itself properly. If the device is in portrait orientation, everything works fine. The UISplitView also gets sized properly if it is the first view I show. The problem only occurs if I switch to it after another view has been shown, in landscape. So, is there some way to force iPhone OS to resize the view after it has been added to the window? I've tried calling sizeToFit, but it didn't work. I've also tried setting the view's bounds to the window's bounds, and I've tried setting the frame.

  • jQuery fadeIn/fadeOut loop problem

    - by liebgott
    Hi. I'm trying to do a sequentiall animation with a loop....but i can't accomplish it in a smooth way (some "lag" problems). jQuery var i = 0; var b = 0; var fades = function(){$(".caja").stop(0).each(function(){ $(this).delay(i * 500).fadeIn('slow', function(){ $(this).delay(5000).fadeOut('slow', function(){ $(".cajar").delay(1000).each(function(){ $(this).delay(b * 500).fadeIn('slow', function(){ $(this).delay(5000).fadeOut('slow', fades()); }); b++; }); }); }); i++; })} fades(); CSS .caja{ width: 150px; height: 150px; background-color: black; float: left; margin: 0 10px 0 0; display: none; } .cajar{ width: 150px; height: 150px; background-color: red; float: left; margin: 0 10px 0 0; display: none; } .cajav{ width: 150px; height: 150px; background-color: green; float: left; margin: 0 10px 0 0; display: none; } HTML <div class="caja"></div> <div class="caja"></div> <div class="caja"></div> <div class="cleaner"></div> <div class="cajar"></div> <div class="cajar"></div> <div class="cajar"></div> Thanks!

  • How to Anti-Alias Layers in iPhoneOS

    - by Shannon A.
    We've had Reiner Knizia's Money out for a couple of months now. It's done pretty well, and so we've been updating it as time allows. However, one thing continues to bug me. I've never been able to get my layered cards to anti-alias correctly. Here's a sample: Cards that are laid straight are very clean, but whenever they're angled the black lines around the cards get jagged. I've tried this depending on both lines implicit to the artwork and lines drawn through drawRect:, and they both do the same thing. I've tried the edgeAntiAliasingMask and it doesn't do a thing as far as I can tell. I've tried masksToBounds for the sublayers set to NO and YES. Right now my card is set up as a CALayer that has sub-CALayers for the front and the back, plus for a few other things like a lightening mask and a darkening mask. Here's some snippets of the code: CArdLayer *theCardLayer = [CArdLayer layer]; theCardLayer.edgeAntialiasingMask = kCALayerLeftEdge | kCALayerRightEdge | kCALayerBottomEdge | kCALayerTopEdge; theCardLayer.front = [CALayer layer]; theCardLayer.front.edgeAntialiasingMask = kCALayerLeftEdge | kCALayerRightEdge | kCALayerBottomEdge | kCALayerTopEdge; theCardLayer.front.bounds = theCardLayer.bounds; theCardLayer.front.masksToBounds = YES; theCardLayer.front.contents = (id)[cardDrawing CGImage]; [theCardLayer addSublayer:theCardLayer.front]; Etc ... Any ideas on how to make the cards actually anti-alias?

  • Multiple model forms with some pre-populated fields

    - by jimbocooper
    Hi! Hope somebody can help me, since I've been stuck for a while with this... I switched to another task, but now back to the fight I still can't figure out how to come out from the black hole xD The thing is as follows: Let's say I've got a product model, and then a set of Clients which have rights to submit data for the products they've been subscribed (Many to Many from Client to Product). Whenever my client is going to submit data, I need to create as many forms as products he's subscribed, and pre-populate each one of them with the "product" field as long as perform a quite simple validation (some optional fields have to be completed if it's client's first submission). I would like one form "step" for each product submission, so I've tried formWizards... but the problem is you can't pre-assign values to the forms... this can be solved afterwards when submitting, though... but not the problem that it doesn't allow validation either, so at the end of each step I can check some data before rendering next step. Then I've tried model formsets, but then there's no way to pre-populate the needed fields. I came across some django plugins, but I'm not confident yet if any of them will make it.... Did anybody has a similar problem so he can give me a ray of light? Thanks a lot in advance!! :) edit: The code I used in the formsets way is as follows: prods = Products.objects.filter(Q(start_date__lte=today) & Q(end_date__gte=today), requester=client) num = len(prods) PriceSubmissionFormSet = modelformset_factory(PriceSubmission, extra=num) formset = PriceSubmissionFormSet(queryset=PriceSubmission.objects.none())

  • Android: How to get a custom view to redraw partially?

    - by Peterdk
    I have a custom view that fills my entire screen. (A piano keyboard) When a user touches the key, it would cause a invalidate() to be called and the whole keyboard gets redrawn to show the new state with a touched key. Currently the view is very simple, but I plan to add a bit more nice graphics. Since the whole keyboard is dynamically rendered this would make redrawing the entire keyboard more expensive. So I thought, let's look into partial redrawing. Now I call invalidate(Rect dirty) with the correct dirty region. I set my onDraw(Canvas canvas) method to only draw the keys in the dirty region if I do indeed want a partial redraw. This results in those keys being drawn, but the rest of the keyboard is totally black/not drawn at all. Am I wrong in expecting that calling invalidate(Rect dirty) would "cache" the current canvas, and only "allows" drawing in the dirty region? Is there any way I can achieve what I want? (A way to "cache" the canvas and only redraw the dirty area?"

  • weird swing heavyweight object lightweight objects problem

    - by Yoav Schwartz
    Hello, We have a problem in our swing based application since we've upgraded our java version from 6u5 to 6u18 (The application runs over WinXP). Our application contains a Canvas object which resides in a JFrame. The application draws things on the canvas. Every time we drag a lightweight swing object (popup or another frame) over the canvas, it has a refresh problem. It blinks - becomes black. The problem only resolves after we move the swing component away from the canvas and click on it again. We think this problem is related to the fact the the canvas is a heavyweight object. And we know there were changes done in the new versions of java on the mixing of heavyweight and lightweight objects issue. Some more details: 1) Our problem reproduces in java 6u14 and 6u16. 2) Everything works fine in java 6u5. Another strange thing: We have 2 types of stations running our application. The first type has a ATI FireGL7100 PCI-E graphics card. The second type has a Matrox G450 PCI graphic card. The problem does not reproduce on the Matrox based station in any java version. One more thing: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6829858 - looks similar to our problem. Is our problem familiar? Do you have any suggestions (workarounds, ideas how the difference in graphics cards is connected to this problem) Hope I was clear enough, Yoav

  • contentEditable cursor position/style in FireFox

    - by Ben McCann
    I'm having trouble using contentEditable in FireFox 3. I have a problem where the cursor will appear above or only partially in the div after I click in it (until I start typing at which time it behaves correctly). Any ideas on how I can stop this from happening? HTML: <html> <head><title>Test Page</title></head> <body> <div id="editor" style="position:absolute; left:157px; top:230px; width:120px; height:30px"> <div id="input" style="width:100%; height:100%; border:1px solid black; outline:none" contentEditable="true"> </div> </div> </body> </html>

  • C# Problem with getPixel & setting RTF text colour accordingly

    - by m3n
    Heyo, I'm messing with converting images to ASCII ones. For this I load the image, use getPixel() on each pixel, then change insert a character with that colour into a richTextBox. Bitmap bmBild = new Bitmap(openFileDialog1.FileName.ToString()); // valid image int x = 0, y = 0; for (int i = 0; i <= (bmBild.Width * bmBild.Height - bmBild.Height); i++) { // Ändra text här richTextBox1.Text += "x"; richTextBox1.Select(i, 1); if (bmBild.GetPixel(x, y).IsKnownColor) { richTextBox1.SelectionColor = bmBild.GetPixel(x, y); } else { richTextBox1.SelectionColor = Color.Red; } if (x >= (bmBild.Width -1)) { x = 0; y++; richTextBox1.Text += "\n"; } x++; } GetPixel does return the correct colour, but the text only end up black. If I change this richTextBox1.SelectionColor = bmBild.GetPixel(x, y); to this richTextBox1.SelectionColor = Color.Red; It works fine. Why am I not getting the right colours? (I know it doesn't do the new lines properly, but I thought I'd get to the bottom of this issue first.) Thanks

  • Python: combining making two scripts into one

    - by Alex
    I have two separately made python scripts one that makes a sine wave sound based off time, and another that produces a sine wave graph that is based off the same time factors. I need help combining them into one running file. Here's the first: from struct import pack from math import sin, pi import time def au_file(name, freq, freq1, dur, vol): fout = open(name, 'wb') # header needs size, encoding=2, sampling_rate=8000, channel=1 fout.write('.snd' + pack('>5L', 24, 8*dur, 2, 8000, 1)) factor = 2 * pi * freq/8000 factor1 = 2 * pi * freq1/8000 # write data for seg in range(8 * dur): # sine wave calculations sin_seg = sin(seg * factor) + sin(seg * factor1) fout.write(pack('b', vol * 64 * sin_seg)) fout.close() t = time.strftime("%S", time.localtime()) ti = time.strftime("%M", time.localtime()) tis = float(t) tis = tis * 100 tim = float(ti) tim = tim * 100 if __name__ == '__main__': au_file(name='timeSound.au', freq=tim, freq1=tis, dur=1000, vol=1.0) import os os.startfile('timeSound.au') and the second is this: from Tkinter import * import math import time t = time.strftime("%S", time.localtime()) ti = time.strftime("%M", time.localtime()) tis = float(t) tis = tis / 100 tim = float(ti) tim = tim / 100 root = Tk() root.title("This very moment") width = 400 height = 300 center = height//2 x_increment = 1 # width stretch x_factor1 = tis x_factor2 = tim # height stretch y_amplitude = 50 c = Canvas(width=width, height=height, bg='black') c.pack() str1 = "sin(x)=white" c.create_text(10, 20, anchor=SW, text=str1) center_line = c.create_line(0, center, width, center, fill='red') # create the coordinate list for the sin() curve, have to be integers xy1 = [] xy2 = [] for x in range(400): # x coordinates xy1.append(x * x_increment) xy2.append(x * x_increment) # y coordinates xy1.append(int(math.sin(x * x_factor1) * y_amplitude) + center) xy2.append(int(math.sin(x * x_factor2) * y_amplitude) + center) sinS_line = c.create_line(xy1, fill='white') sinM_line = c.create_line(xy2, fill='yellow') root.mainloop()

  • Binding Data to a TextBlock using Domain Data Source

    - by TFisher
    I have a map with hotspots for each state (done in Expression Blend). I capture each MouseEnter of the state (1 thru 50). I pass that into my Domain Data Source: Dim activebox As Path = TryCast(sender, Path) activebox.Fill = mouseOverColor Dim StateID As Integer = CInt(Right(activebox.Name, 2)) Dim _StateContext As New StateContext myDataGrid.ItemsSource = _StateContext.States _StateContext.Load(_StateContext.GetStateByStateIDQuery(StateID.Text)) The above works fine for a datagrid, listbox and even a dataform. But I created a popup with a stackpanel that has textblocks. popupStatesBox.DataContext = ?????????????? popupStatesBox.IsOpen = True 'popup does open but has no data -- popupStatesBox.xaml <Popup x:Name="popupStatsBox" Margin="8,35,0,8" DataContext="{Binding}" IsOpen="false" Width="268" HorizontalAlignment="Left"> <StackPanel x:Name="Layout" Background="Black"> <TextBlock x:Name="tbState" Text="{Binding StateName /> <TextBlock x:Name="tbAbbrev" Text="{Binding Abbreviation}" /> </StackPanel> </Popup> How do I get the textblocks to display the values from the _StateContext. StackPanel has DataContext but no ItemsSource. What am I missing?
