    I'm trying to do a couple of things at once. I'm trying to do one major thing: redirect the application output that is displayed in the Qt Creator console to a textEdit that I have on my GUI. However, the class that I need to do this in is written in C and all of its related headers are in C as well. Is there a way that I can redirect the output into the textEdit within the C class?

Instead of using the standard "Details" link provided by the auto generated table list, I would like to use the table row as a link to the "Details" view instead.     Ok, this is so weird!!! I am running PHP Version 5.1.6 when I try and run the code below it gives a fatal error of an object that has not been instantiated.   • How to design websites for all display sizes

    I like to use a lot of unique graphics on my pages, which often results in making different page sizes depending on available screen width/height. Here are two examples: http://www.uvm.edu/~areid/homesite/ - the image floats at the bottom of my screen but on a larger browser, the image floats near the middle making it look off. It looks best when the bottom of the window aligns with the bottom of the image www.stevenlebel.com - it loads two different pages depending on what monitor size is detected. This seems like a lot of redundant coding. My question is, how can I make sliced/Photoshop images transition well to different screen sizes. Does Photoshop allow you to make DIVS instead of tables? Can i make each of the slices created by Photoshop grow/shrink when the browser window size changes? If anyone has any input on creating websites like this I would be very interested to hear what they have to say. Thanks Katie

  • Creating a PHP call home "time bomb" to protect my interests

    Hi everyone, I produced a PHP web app for a client some months back that is hosted on their own server. I have still not been paid for this work, and they are giving me the runaround. It turns out that I still have remote admin access to their server, so I can make code changes. What I was thinking of doing was to move the core kernel off-site onto one of my own servers, and program in some kind of callback or include that gets the kernel (critical functions) from my server. Give it two weeks or so for their backups to catch this change, and then pull the plug and exercise leverage. If I do this, they will pay immediately, because the site is a critical one for a very large and influential client of theirs. What is the most effective and easiest way of doing this? What code do I use? Thanks for any pointers.

In Java IDE such as Eclipse, if I do not know the classname in a package, I can just type a dot (.) after a package name, then I will get a list of all the classes in that package in the IDE. How I can configure visual studio to do the similar thing, say, if I click a namespace name in a file (for example, using System), or add a dot after the namespace, all the classes in that namespace will be displayed somewhere in the IDE?

  • What kind of library to use for display of graphical objects and right click context menus

    Hi all, Goal: To develop a web based NMS interface which displays a network topology (e.g., switches, routers, links, endhosts). Each node should be 'movable' (draggable to an appropriate place manually or their best location computed algorithmically). I should be able to zoom into the network graph (say if there are many clusters of nodes and I want to concentrate on a particular cluster of nodes). I should be able to right-click any node or link and get a context menu (e.g., 'show routing table', 'show interfaces', 'show bandwidth utilization graph' etc.). The data for this network topology will be fetched by making calls to an apache based webserver where the backend scripts in python will fetch the appropriate data and send it via JSON to the web client. Question: I am assuming that some sort of javascript library/framework will be most appropriate for this - jQuery, Dojo, Moo etc. [I've never used any of these before]. Which of these would be most recommended for this sort of thing. Which would be easiest to learn (say in a months time). Thanks for any tips.

Now isolated in a visual basic 6 sub routine using ADODB to connect to a sql server 2008 database it throws an error saying: "Login failed for user 'admin' " I have since verified the connection string does work if i replace the body of this sub with the alternative code below this sub.     I have HTML that looks something like this: <div class='textbox' data-title='Sometitle'> <div class='textareaedit'> <p><strong>Test sample text</strong></p> </div> </div> I'm sometimes going to have a few different <p> tags inside the textareaedit divs, and sometimes strong tags around the text inside the <p> (as in this example), and sometimes a span tag, and sometimes it's going to be without further tags inside the <p>. I want to iterate through each textbox on my page, grab its title and also the text nested inside <p> tags in textareaedit. I'm giving the output via console for testing. This is my jQuery code, but I get no output for the second console.log() line: $('.textbox').each(function() { $this = $(this); console.log($this.attr('data-title')+ ":\n"); $this.children('textareadit').children('p').each(function(){ console.log($(this).html()); // not giving any output, it's blank }); }); I tried $(this).text() as well, but no difference.
