  • Reintegrate a branch with externals fails in SVN

    What I am doing: Apply external properties to a folder in the trunk (both single file and folder external, externals are binary files) Create a branch from the trunk and update the entire project Modify a file on the branch and commit the changes, then update the entire project. Merge - "Reintegrate a branch" when I get to the last screen I click "test merge" and get this error: Error: Cannot reintegrate into mixed-revision working copy; try updating first I update the entire project and still the same error. Other observations: If I "Merge a range of revisions" everything works fine. If I remove the externals everything works fine using either "Merge a range of revisions" or "Reintegrate a branch". How do I solve this issue? I am using Subversion 1.6.6 with TortoiseSVN 1.6.6.

    Hi guys, I'm storing configuration details in a database which I need to use in javascript. I'm accessing all this using php and instead of outputting all the details into inline javascript code on the main page I've instead created a php file that outputs content type javascript and refernce it in my main page as an external javascript file. I want to set it up so that it can't be viewed in a browser window i.e : <script type="text/javascript" src="phpFileThatDoesJS.php" ></script> should work but typing www.mysite.com/phpFileThatDoesJS.php in the browser shouldn't EDIT ========== The thing is that I have to edit a script that for some oddball reason stores the username and password of a user in a javascript Object and outputs it within script tags. I have to set it up so that this is not viewable by a simple view source action. Thats why I thought of referencing it as an external javascript. Isnt there any htaccess tricks that I could use?

    This is happening to me since last 2 days. Earlier, successful login redirected to my app and I was able to proceed. Now I get this error page.   • Including the functionality of a tool within another program?

    Hi there I would like to write an application, for my own interest, that graphically visualizes some network concepts. Basically I would like to show the output from tools like ping, traceroute and nmap. The most obvious approach seems to be to use pipes to call out to these tools from my C program, and process the information they return. However, I would like to avoid this heavy-handed approach if possible. My question is, is it possible to somehow link against these tools, or are there APIs that can be used to gain programatic access instead? If so, is this behavior available on a tool-by-tool basis only? One reason for wanting to do this is to keep everything in a single process / address space and to avoid dependance on these external tools. For example, if I wrote an iphone application, I would not be able to spawn processes to call out to the external tools themselves. Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

    I have a Mac Mini with Core Solo 1.5GHz, 512mb RAM, 60gb HDD, etc... I know, it's very old but since it's lying around here, I wanted to bump it up for general usage and some experimental iPhone development. Also, Snow Leopard can't be installed as it doesn't have enough RAM. I browsed around but I'm not sure if this Mac Mini's motherboard accepts a Core2Duo (at least a 2.0GHz). If anyone could inform me which generation of Core2Duo it still accepts, I'd be grateful.

    I have runtime dependencies on some external jars that I would like to "rejar" into a single jar. These external dependencies are stored in a external_jars directory, and I'd like to be able to not have to list each one out (e.g., to not need to change my build scripts if my dependencies change). Any thoughts?   • Test for undefined references in Linux

    Is there a built in linux utility that I can use to test a newly compiled shared library for external undefined references? Gcc seems to be intelligent enough to check for undefined symbols in my own binary, but if the symbol is a reference to another library gcc does not check at link time. Instead I only get the message when I try to link to my new library from another program. It seems a little silly to get undefined reference messages in a library when I am compiling a different project so I want to know if I can do a check on all references internal and external when I build the library not when I link to it.     Hey guys I'm using Jquery flowplayer tools overlay to open external links. External links are working fine with this piece of code shown in the link: http://www.demiseonline.com/misc/Iframeoverlay.html Now using this overlay - I wanted to open the twitter dialog which asks users to Allow access to their account. So in the code below, I replaced http://www.google.com with https://twitter.com/oauth/authenticate?oauth_token=VPVRIsnRz9IX4CAab7brert3jHiEs <div class="apple_overlay black" id="Overlay1" <iframe src ="http://www.google.com" width="100%" height="595px" frameborder="0" </iframe </div When I replace the code, as soon as I load the page, even before I click on the link to open the overlay - the page gets redirected to the twitter URL.     Hey Few Questions 1.Is it legal to have an IFrame on a website which inside has an external website? 2.In an IFrame is it possible to only show a section of the src that isnt the top left of the site (for instance if there was a chart in the middle of a website, could u have just the chart in your Iframe, or atleast start it centred there) 3.Any way to stop my IFrame from auto redirecting me to the external site for 3: ie <iframe src="http://fifa.com"></iframe> Just sends me to fifa instead of actually showing that site in a frame.

    I am considering building an app in C++ that will be parsing text from the web and create some statistical results. These results I want to be fed in an external app in real time. The external app (to whose code I have no access, but can ask for a - paid - custom made addition) will then need some code to read and use these results. I am wondering what would be the best way to interconnect the two apps, in terms of speed and ease of implementation.     I have reasonably many electronic gadgets that can go LAN or WI-FI. But how do you share and/or syncronize all your files among them? Well, between my laptops and my desktop I use Dropbox. A nice way to share files among computers. But what if your HDD on your laptop is not large enough to carry music, pictures and films. Normally you would buy an extern USB HDD and store them there, but then you cannot reach the files from other computers which are not connected to the USB device. Many would say I should use a solution like a cloud with a disc station or something like that. But my needs are follows: A mass storage which can be reached among devices (laptops, desktops, iPhone, Android phone, XBox or Playstation). Has low power requirements and is silent. Can be reached inside home and it would be nice if it could be reached outside home as well. Cheap I have looked around and I have found an wireless router which can share a USB device: D-Link Wireless N HD Media Router. I thought it would be an interesting solution for a simple local cloud solution. D-Link uses a little program called SharePort Plus which mount the USB device to your computer. Unfortunately is the transfer rate to the USB storage device rather disappointing. The transfer rate was 5.8 Mbps even though the distance between the laptop and the router was 2 meter. The same is happening when I use cable from the computer to the router. Another thing is that SharePort Plus only allows one computer be connected to the device at a time. The last thing was something I could live with. I have search on the Internet for other solutions and found this video from Synology. I'm not sure if their solution is the right one. I think a disc station connected to my home LAN could the right solution. What have you done in your home to store and share files among your computers and game consoles?

    I want to know how is data I/O takes place on flash drives which are typically EEPROM's . I thought so as I was writing a C Program that involves file handling . For a normal HDD , that would involve returning the file pointer and reading or writing data to the disk which would be done by read/write HEAD . While in EEPROM's there is no read/write head , as it's works on mnemonic commands , So how come does the C file handling program works when I apply it to a file on flash drive ?

  • Using the StackTrace Class in a production environment to get calling method info

    hey guys We have a "log" class which uses Relection.MethodBase to send current class info to the log. The reflection.MethodBase stuff happens in the class itself. However, I'd like to move that stuff to a single external "log" singleton type class. In this scenario the external log class needs to get the CALLING info, not the current method info. I'm using stacktrace to do this, which isn't in the Reflection namespace.     Hello, My solution has a library project which needs a special environment to be built (lots of external libraries and tools)... but it is not vital to our application. We'd like to avoid installing these tools when not necessary (most of our developers work on other parts of code). We have created another project which has the same API, but has an empty implementation and is compilable without those external tools. I'd like to be able to easily switch between those projects and still get all the references in other projects correct. I don't know VS/MSBuild very well, but willing to learn whatever is necessary. Is it possible? I am looking for ideas... We're using Subversion, and solutions involving some hacks inside VCS are also welcome.

    I have a Server running Ubuntu 10.10 Server-Edition kvm, and libvirt (both ubuntu-native packages) HDD-Partitioning was done with LVM. Then I created some VMs with Virt-Manager and assigned LVM-Volumes to the VMs. Now the VMs do not boot. Virt-Manager shows a CPU-Usage of 100% for this Guest and the VNC-Connection states Booting from Hard Disk The VM-specific logfiles do not show any abnormality only syslog shows a warning warning : qemudParsePCIDeviceStrs:1422 : Unexpected exit status '1', qemu probably failed What can I do to find the error?
