• Send Email in iphone

  Hi, I am new to iphone. I am working on first app..I could design Email view by using Interface Builder. My requirement is, I have to add contact list. And choose required contact, when i clicked on To UIButton, It will be placed on Address textfield. Finally, I can click the send UIButton, the email reach it's destination. How can I do this? • RewriteRule not working do not know how to test it the regex matches

  Hello I have a Rewrite rule I am trying to implement on my local host but I cannot get it to do the action no matter how I setup the regex the files are in this naming scheme /docroot/css/stylesheet.min.css and I have them printed in the code like /docroot/css/stylesheet.min.123438348.css (the number is example it comes from a get modified function). • Making dynamic images have static filenames

  My website currently has various links to a php script that generates the images dynamically. For example, the link may say "img source="/dynamic_images.php?type=pie-chart&color=red" Obviously, this is not great for SEO. I'd like to somehow make the filenames of these links appear to be static, and use a solution (like Mod-Rewrite) to ensure that the images can still be dynamically created. I suppose I could have something like "img src="average-profits-in-scuba-diving-industry.png?type=pie-chart&color=red" (and use Mod-Rewrite to take care of changing the filename prefix to dynamic_images.php), but I'm afraid that the search engines would shy away from the querystring on the end of the image filename. Any solutions? Thanks in advance.

• why does calling methods on a div fire the live click event

  i have this jquery code: $(this).parent('.copyFoodInstance').attr("myset", "0"); $(this).parent('.copyFoodInstance').html("<img BORDER=0 src='../../images/copy1.png' />"); it seems that when i call this code, this event fires: $(document).ready(function() { $('div.copyFoodInstance').live('click', function() { does anyone know why this event fires from the lines above? is there anyway to stop if from firing? All i am doing is updating an attribute on the div and updating the html. this shouldn't fire a click event?

  Hi folks, If i have a request for a resource in my ASP.NET MVC1 (or 2) web app for a static resource, say ... an image or a javascript file or a css file ... does the .NET framework try and see if the request matches the route list ... and eventually can't find a controller for it? eg. Resource: /Content/Images/Foo.png Does this request go through my route list .. fails to match any controllers / actions to this request and then .. i donno ... attempt that path directly?

I can't save my Illustrations In the .pdf format, since this format seems to preserve the graphic quality this Is vitally Important to me. • background picture for textview

  Hi, I have a textview and a nine-patch image. Assigning this image in the xml editor to the tag "background" works as desired. Now I want to set this image dynamically in the coding, I thought myTextView.setBackgroundDrawable(mydrawable); would be the right thing to do. My png is in res/drawable. The API says that mydrawable needs to be an object of type drawable R.drawable.myninepatch is of type int. So my problem is that I have to convert from that int to a drawable somehow. Then I thought I can use a constructor NinePatchDrawable mydrawable = new NinePatchDrawable(); But I am again not able to construct such an object. Anyone an idea? Thanks.

  My goal is to upload a image(.jpg or .png)from client's folder to tomcat6 server through hessian protocol. And do image processing using opencv on server, then return the image back to client. Question1. Is the following transfering steps correct? put a test.jpg image on client's folder -- convert the test.jpg in client.java(main.java) class to BufferedImage -- convert the BufferedImage to mat or Iplimage in server for using openCV.I have set a hello world sample from Simple Messaging Example using Hessian , and searched from Hessian with large binary data and other websites, but still dont know how to use it! • iPhone Application crashing upon loading a new Detail View

  Hi, My problem is when trying to load a detail view through a table cell, the application constantly crashes. The error that comes up when running through debug is "__TERMINATING_DUE_TO_UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION___" objc exception thrown. If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. • Which file types are worth compressing (zipping) for remote storage? For which of them the compresse

  I am storing documents in sql server in varbinary(max) fileds, I use filestream optionally when a user has: (DB_Size + Docs_Size) ~> 0.8 * ExpressEdition_Max_DB_Size I am currently zipping all the files, anyway this is done because the Document Read/Write work was developed 10 years ago where Storage was more expensive than now. Many files when zipped are almost as big as the original (a zipped pdf is about 95% of original size). And anyway unzipping has some overhead, that becomes twice when I need also to "Check-in"/Update the file because I need to zip it. So I was thinking of giving to the users the option to choose whether the file type will be zipped or not by providing some meaningful default values. For my experience I would impose the following rules: 1) zip by default: txt, bmp, rtf 2) do not zip by default: jpg, jpeg, Microsoft Office files, Open Office files, png, tif, tiff Could you suggest other file types chosen among the most common or comment on the ones I listed here?

• C# GDI - How to check if a Pixel is opaque or not?

  I am using a method to get a pixel of the image to check if this point is transparent or not. I am using GetPixel that returns a System.Drawing.Color with a 32bit color info. This struct have the "A" property where I can get the alpha value of pixel, according to this MSDN topic. Code: using (Bitmap bmp = new Bitmap(path)) { Color pixel = bmp.GetPixel(0, 0); if (pixel.A == 0) // This is a fully transparent pixel else // This is not a fully transparent pixel } When I use this method with a fully transparent PNG images it returns 0. When I run with a white semi-transparent images, it will give me other values starting on 1 and up to 86, where 86 are given for images with a 100% alfa (full opaque). But with opaque JPEG images, the "A" property are giving me all sort of values like 56, 71, 86, 129, and others, depending on image. But these pixels are fully opaques! How are the correct way to check if a pixel is opaque or not?

  I've got an windows mobile 6.5 application I'm developing and am having trouble with one icon. At the top right hand of the screen there is an icon that, when clicked, will display a list of programs running the background with the option to close them. When my program is in this list, it's icon does not show up as the others do. I'm my exe I've got an .ico for 16x16, 22x22, 32x32, 36x36, 44x44, 45x45, 60x60, and 64x64, with the optional 90x90 png and registry setting in my cab. What am I missing?

• UIButton setBackgroundImage consumes doesn't release memory?

  My UIButton has it's background image set like this: [myImageButton setBackgroundImage:[UIImage imageNamed:myImageName] forState:UIControlStateNormal]; myImageButton is a retained property of the class, and is setup with IB. No where else is it accessed in the app. myImageName is simply an NSString with a filename like @"myImage_number_1.png" I am loading large images, 1024 x 1024 in size. When the view is shown, it changes the image with the above statement, then available memory decreases. After I see the view about 7-9 different times, the app crashes with a memory warning. I thought the method would free up the loaded image. The view itself is only instantiated and allocated one time, so it's not in the retain/release cycle if the view controller. Is there something about this setBackgroundImage I don't know that causes it to not release memory?

  When I place an image followed by text in a table cell, the vertical alignment of the text shifts down compared to text in adjacent cells. I tried using a line-height CSS property, but it didn't seem to have an affect. In the following example, I need "123 Description" to be flush with "cell one." Also, there is a space between the image and "123" by default.   Hi Everybody, I m new to iphone app development and i need some help. I have a list of 30 images that i have to animate and display with 0.1 second interval. I put all the images in an Array using this imageletter.animationImages = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:[UIImage imageNamed:@"1.png"], ...... ,nil] And then animate it using these statements, [imageletter setAnimationDuration:16]; [imageletter startAnimating]; [NSTimer scheduledTimerWithTimeInterval:mytime target:self selector:@selector(StopAfterCertainTime) userInfo:nil repeats:NO]; Now the problem is that the size of each image is 8kb , it runs fine on iphone simulator but crashes on device. When i used 30 other images of 4kb each it runs fine both on simulator and device. Can anybody tell me what is the ideal size for such kind of task. Thanks

• With HTML and CSS, how to have an image that is vertically aligned with a horizontal line?
