  Hi I have an iPhone app that shows the user a UIWebView in the first view, what I am trying to do is allow the user to save what is essentially favorites to be saved and then displayed in a table view in the second view. To do this all i need is the page URL and also the Page Title to be saved to then populate the table view. Now here is the problem I am just starting to learn how to make iPhone apps and I have no clue what would be the best way to save it and how to get this information from the web view?

  I am trying to make an extension as part of which i want certain words in the web pages to be highlighted. The document.body.innerHTML.replace() replaces the url in the address bar as well. So the moment this code gets exwecuted the page doesnt get loaded properly..   Hi, Does anyone know a regex function in PHP to strip an anchor of it's contents, only if the anchor's href attribute contains specific text? For example, I have an HTML page and there are links throughout. But I want to strip only the anchors that contain "yahoo" in the URL. So <a href="http://pages.yahoo.com/page1">Example page</a> would become: Example, while other anchors in the HTML not containing "yahoo" would be left alone. Thank you in advance. -T

  Hi, I am building a web app that lets the user directly download files on a cdn by clicking a link. The link should point to the cdn url directly in order to minimize the load on our servers. We would like the to have the browser pop up the save as dialog box when the user clicks the link to download the file and not have the browser display the content of the file at all. So the page should not reload. However, we don't have access to setting the HTTP headers sent back from cdn. Is it possible to still pop up the save as dialog box for download using client-side code?

  Hello, We are currently undergoing some reworking of our website - in the meantime, I am looking for a quick a dirty fix. We have wordpress setup, so that no-so-tech-savvy employees can add events, news, etc. However, there are currently sections on our site dedicated to what would be tags in Wordpress. For instance, we have posts in WP with the tag "events." It's easy enough to display all posts with that tag, but I need to do a PHP include on our old site, and only show JUST THE POST. I can use a rss2html tool, but it strips out somethings like necessary tables. So how do Display only a single WP post, without anything else (no menus, settings, no Wp interface) via a URL? I could use a theme that is stripped down (by using something like theme switcher), but I need it to only load that theme once, not be the default theme....

  I am trying to port my usage meter from a JavaScript Gadget (win) / Widget (OSX) to Android. Total newbie when comes to JAVA + Eclipse + Android 2.1 SDK. • How do I retain a requested url with parameters after redirecting to a login page?

  I have been asked to set up some authentication for some content on our website using JSP. What I would like to do seems simple to me but I can't quite figure out how to do it in JSP. What I would like to do is this: When a user requests a page that you must be logged in to see, I have a tag that checks their cookies for an authentication token. If it is not there, they are redirected to a login page. After they log in, I want to redirect them back to the page they first requested along with any parameters they were sending. Now, I have the tag that is checking their authentication and redirecting them to the login page. That part is working just fine. But I'm not sure how to maintain the first requested url and parameters so they can be redirected after they login. How might I accomplish this?

  It looks like today you no longer to have to encode spaces by %20 in your html links or image links. For example, suppose you have this image at ?http://example.com/i/my house.jpg?. Notice the space there. In your html code, you can just do this: <img src="http://example.com/i/my house.jpg" alt="my house"> It work in all current version of browsers. Though, what i'm not sure is that whether the browser encodes it before requesting the url, or a particular server will do the right with with paths with space? (apache)

  I have a web reference for our report server embedded in our application. The server that the reports live on could change though, and I'd like to be able to change it "on the fly" if necessary. Also, if I call Html.ActionLink from a view, I want the Blue or Green value to propagate. So, e.g., if I call Html.ActionLink("Bar", "Foo") from /Blue/Foo, I want /Blue/Foo/Bar to come back. How best can I do this? (Forgive me if I'm missing an existing post. This is hard for me to articulate concisely, so I'm not quite sure what to search for.)

Alternative on the above, if 1 returns a 404: 2. Generate HTML which display an error message to the user. Only step 3 is left as I've completed 1-2. As there are logic for handling the two execution paths and performing the XSLT-transformation I thought it would be suitable to keep it in the code-behind file.   Hi, I see it all over the place, yet, I could not find one example about this (maybe I don't know the proper wording), I am trying to build using ASP .Net MVC2 (but any example on just ASP .Net would be also helpful) a process that will send a link to the user at the end of the registration process to let him confirm his registration. Also, a similar process to let the user to reset his password, with the typical "forgot password" and send a link/url so that the user can click and type a new password.   I need to dynamically load a CSS stylesheet into a page that's on a different domain. How can I get the complete URL of the JS file to use in the href attribute of the stylesheet? For instance, here is the structure: http://bla.com/js/script.js http://bla.com/css/style.css I want to dynamically load the stylesheet into a page http://boo.net/index.html. The problem is, I don't know the bla.com bit in advance, just the fact that the stylesheet is in ../css/ relative to the JS file. The script is, of course, included on index.html. jQuery's fine too.

  I'm currently building a web application that can can track a users actions on a particular website and pop a URL if the user takes certain actions, such as: first click, responding to a question by clicking yes / no, clicking a submit button, or exiting the site. It is important that these URLs are served to the user and are not blocked by pop-up blockers. It is my understanding that there are certain exceptions within the major internet browsers that allow pop-ups if they are served based on some user action, rather than serving an unsolicited pop? Is this true? How do I design this web application so that it can serve these pops (and not have them blocked).

I want to make a new route, which is: http://example.com/foo/bar/123 but as long as I open it, the Apache redirects me to an error page. So I'm using a .htaccess. I'm guessing that the rewrite code is wrong. Is it wrong? If yes, could you suggest me the good one? If no, where the problem could be located?

• How to remotely open gedit with SFTP URL in Gnome through SSH?

  My setup is weird and I can't change it now. I have two machines: local-machine: it's my desktop running Ubuntu with Gnome remote-machine: it's one virtual machine, also running Ubuntu but without X In both machines I have my private and public SSH keys. I need to run SSH from remote-machine to local-machine and run gedit (in local-machine, under the default $DISPLAY) but openning a file in remote-machine throught SFTP. Something like this: myuser@remote-machine:~$ ssh local-machine "DISPLAY=:0.0 gedit sftp://remote-machine/some/file" The command above doesn't work. gedit shows this message: Could not open the file sftp://remote-machine/some/file. gedit cannot handle sftp: locations. Note that: /some/file exists on remote-machine. I can SSH normally from remote-machine to local-machine using my SSH key without any problems! I can run the command DISPLAY=:0.0 gedit sftp://remote-machine/some/file in a terminal on local-machine and gedit opens the file on remote-machine without any problems - but the terminal in which I executed the command is running in DISPLAY :0 (really, it's gnome-terminal). I also tried -t option of SSH client (to force pseudo-tty allocation) but it didn't work. If I try to run DISPLAY=:0.0 gedit sftp://remote-machine/some/file in local-machine but under a tty (for example in tty1, by pressing <Ctrl>+<Alt>+<F1>) it doesn't not work - I get the same error when running from remote-machine. I found that if I pass the environment variable DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS with a correct value, it works! So, if I do something like that: myuser@local-machine:~$ env | grep DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS > env.txt myuser@local-machine:~$ scp env.txt remote-machine: and then: myuser@remote-machine:~$ ssh local-machine "DISPLAY=:0.0 $(cat env.txt) gedit sftp://remote-machine/some/file" it works! The problem is that I'm not on local-machine so I can't get the correct value for this env variable. Is there any other way to make this work?
