  • Is it possible to call BlazeDS from Java?

    - by Stephane Grenier
Basically I'm trying to proxy some webservices locally (for reasons I won't go into now) and then have a Java application call it. I'm looking at BlazeDS since it seems to do just this, mostly to avoid the crossDomain.xml file required by Flex to call webservices. However I can't seem to find any reference on how to connect through a Java client (probably using Axis2). Any suggestions, and especially tutorials, would be greatly appreciated.

  • Naming selenium grid nodes. Spawning a specific node

    - by ???? ????
I'm trying to implement a kind of default queues in selenium hub. There is a possibility to specify node's name (actually its environment, smth like "firefox on ubuntu" or "chrome on windows"). Selenium grid itself has a default queue, it works according to 'First In, First Out' principle. But I want to prioritize some of my tasks given to selenium server. I have no possibility to introduce custom queue (seems like there is no API for that), that's why I decided to separate queue's logic from selenium server. I'll only call a specific node with specific name (environment) for example "firefox important node" or smth like that. So, I want to know how to directly tell selenium which node to use for my task? And generally, am I thinking in a right way? Here are my configs: hubConfig.json.erb { "host": null, "port": <%= node[:selenium][:server][:port] %>, "newSessionWaitTimeout": -1, "servlets" : [], "prioritizer": null, "capabilityMatcher": "org.openqa.grid.internal.utils.DefaultCapabilityMatcher", "throwOnCapabilityNotPresent": true, "nodePolling": <%= node[:selenium][:server][:node_polling] %>, "cleanUpCycle": <%= node[:selenium][:server][:cleanup_cycle] %>, "timeout": <%= node[:selenium][:server][:timeout] %>, "browserTimeout": 0, "maxSession": <%= node[:selenium][:server][:max_session] %> } nodeConfig.json.erb { "capabilities": [ { "browserName": "firefox", "maxInstances": 5, "seleniumProtocol": "WebDriver" }, { "browserName": "chrome", "maxInstances": 5, "seleniumProtocol": "WebDriver" }, { "browserName": "phantomjs", "maxInstances": 5, "seleniumProtocol": "WebDriver" } ], "configuration": { "proxy": "org.openqa.grid.selenium.proxy.DefaultRemoteProxy", "maxSession": <%= node[:selenium][:node][:max_session] %>, "port": <%= node[:selenium][:node][:port] %>, "host": "<%= node[:fqdn] %>", "register": true, "registerCycle": <%= node[:selenium][:node][:register_cycle] %>, "hubPort": <%= node[:selenium][:server][:port] %> } } And my Driver class: ... def remote_driver @browser = Watir::Browser.new(:remote, :url => "http://myhub.com:4444/wd/hub", :http_client => client, :desired_capabilities => capabilities ) end def capabilities Selenium::WebDriver::Remote::Capabilities.send( "firefox", :javascript_enabled => true, :css_selectors_enabled => true, :takes_screenshot => true ) end def client client = Selenium::WebDriver::Remote::Http::Default.new client.timeout = 360 client end ... I still don't know how to use specified node for my task. If I try to start a driver adding :name => "firefox important node" and extend nodeConfig.json.erb's configuration with environments: - name: "firefox important node" browser: "*firefox" - name: "Firefox36 on Linux" browser: "*firefox" selenium just starts random firefox browser on a random node. How can I control it?

In the given method port 80 is hardcoded. -- please give some code or program for this..

  • Website content crawling

    - by klork
We have a Business Listings directory hosted on IIS 6 Windows 2003. Our competitors crawl and steal our content and customers. We have tried IP blocking using honeypot URLs and log parsing without much success. Is anyone aware of a network device or a proxy server that I can run in front of my web server to minimize this issue? All suggestions are highly appreciated.

  • Python and C++ Sockets converting packet data

    - by yeus
First of all, to clarify my goal: There exist two programs written in C in our laboratory. I am working on a Proxy Server (bidirectional) for them (which will also mainpulate the data). And I want to write that proxy server in Python. It is important to know that I know close to nothing about these two programs, I only know the definition file of the packets. Now: assuming a packet definition in one of the C++ programs reads like this: unsigned char Packet[0x32]; // Packet[Length] int z=0; Packet[0]=0x00; // Spare Packet[1]=0x32; // Length Packet[2]=0x01; // Source Packet[3]=0x02; // Destination Packet[4]=0x01; // ID Packet[5]=0x00; // Spare for(z=0;z<=24;z+=8) { Packet[9-z/8]=((int)(720000+armcontrolpacket->dof0_rot*1000)/(int)pow((double)2,(double)z)); Packet[13-z/8]=((int)(720000+armcontrolpacket->dof0_speed*1000)/(int)pow((double)2,(double)z)); Packet[17-z/8]=((int)(720000+armcontrolpacket->dof1_rot*1000)/(int)pow((double)2,(double)z)); Packet[21-z/8]=((int)(720000+armcontrolpacket->dof1_speed*1000)/(int)pow((double)2,(double)z)); Packet[25-z/8]=((int)(720000+armcontrolpacket->dof2_rot*1000)/(int)pow((double)2,(double)z)); Packet[29-z/8]=((int)(720000+armcontrolpacket->dof2_speed*1000)/(int)pow((double)2,(double)z)); Packet[33-z/8]=((int)(720000+armcontrolpacket->dof3_rot*1000)/(int)pow((double)2,(double)z)); Packet[37-z/8]=((int)(720000+armcontrolpacket->dof3_speed*1000)/(int)pow((double)2,(double)z)); Packet[41-z/8]=((int)(720000+armcontrolpacket->dof4_rot*1000)/(int)pow((double)2,(double)z)); Packet[45-z/8]=((int)(720000+armcontrolpacket->dof4_speed*1000)/(int)pow((double)2,(double)z)); Packet[49-z/8]=((int)armcontrolpacket->timestamp/(int)pow(2.0,(double)z)); } if(SendPacket(sock,(char*)&Packet, sizeof(Packet))) return 1; return 0; What would be the easiest way to receive that data, convert it into a readable python format, manipulate them and send them forward to the receiver?

  • Passing Auth to API calls with Web Service References

    - by coffeeaddict
I am new to web services. The last time I dealt with SOAP was when I created a bunch of wrapper classes that sent requests and received responses back per some response objects/classes I had created. So I had an object to send certain API requests and likewise a set of objects to hold the response back as an object so I could utilize that 3rd party API. Then someone came to me and said why not just use the wsdl and a web service. Ok, so today I went and created a "Service Reference". I see that this is what's called a "Proxy Class". You just instantiate an instance of this and then walla you have access to all the methods from the wsdl. But this leaves me with auth questions. Back when I created my own classes manually, I had a class which exposed properties that I would set then access for things like signature, username, password that got sent along with the Http request that were required by whatever 3rd party API I was using to make API calls. But then with using a Service Reference, how then would I pass this information just like I had done in my custom classes? For instance I'm going to be working with the PayPal API. It requires you to send a signature and a few other pieces of information like username and password. // Determins if API call needs to use a session based URI string requestURI = UseAuthURI == true ? _requestURIAuthBased + aSessionID : _requestURI; byte[] data = XmlUtil.DocumentToBytes(doc); // Create the atual Request instance HttpWebRequest request = CreateWebRequest(requestURI, data.Length); So how do I pass username, password, signature, etc. when using web service references for each method call? Is it as simple as specifying it as a param to the method or do you use the .Credentials and .URL methods of your proxy class object? It seems to me Credentials means windows credentials but I could be wrong. Is it limited to that or can you use that to specify those required header values that PayPal expects with each method call/API request?

  • Flex - Cancel drag operation via keyboard

    - by Tom
Hello I would like to be able to cancel a drag operation with the Escape key. The following did not work so far: calling stopDrag() on the component -- nothing happens calling DragManager.acceptDragDrop(null) -- nothing happens calling mx_internal function DragManager.endDrag() -- drag partly stops, the drag proxy image disappears but now the drop indicator shows at row 0, and also there's a null error when finally releasing the mouse Anybody else had any luck with this? Thanks!

  • Invoking web service methods from code-behind

    - by Peter Wone
The application on which I am working has a web service exposing various methods. Most of these methods use WebOperationContext.Current to set headers up to prevent cacheing. This works fine when the service methods are consumed in AJAX via the generated proxy, but when I attempt to do the same thing from code-behind, WebOperationContext.Current is null. Can anyone tell me how to confer appropriate call context on the method invocation?

  • Tool to monitor HTTP, TCP, etc. Web Service traffic

    - by huseyint
What's the best tool that you use to monitor Web Service, SOAP, WCF, etc. traffic that's coming and going on the wire? I have seen some tools that made with Java but they seem to be a little crappy. What I want is a tool that sits in the middle as a proxy and does port redirection (which should have configurable listen/redirect ports). Are there any tools work on Windows to do this?

  • How to analyze PermGen contents?

    - by Daniel
I want to get a dump of the PermGen to see why it is filling. Is there a way to analyze this? I already know about the common suspects like log4j, tomcat webapp reloading etc, but I have some custom proxy generation code in my application, too, and just want to look under the hood. Is this possible somehow?

  • What are the 'big' advantages to have Poco with ORM?

    - by bonefisher
One advantage that comes to my mind is, if you use Poco classes for Orm mapping, you can easily switch from one ORM to another, if both support Poco. Having an ORM with no Poco support, e.g. mappings are done with attributes like the DataObjects.Net Orm, is not an issue for me, as also with Poco-supported Orms and theirs generated proxy entities, you have to be aware that entities are actually DAO objects bound to some context/session, e.g. serializing is a problem, etc..

  • Which accessType should I use when calling InternetOpen?

    - by Colen
According to the MSDN, you can specify an access type parameter to InternetOpen. Two of the options for the dwAccessType parameter are: INTERNET_OPEN_TYPE_DIRECT - Resolves all host names locally. INTERNET_OPEN_TYPE_PRECONFIG - Retrieves the proxy or direct configuration from the registry. Which of these should I use? I don't know which would be "better". We don't want our application to do anything clever, all we want it to do is access the internet in a normal way.
