  • Gluing tiles together using imagemagick's montage command

    This seems like it might be a reasonably common question, so I'm going to ask it using as many keywords as I can think of! I have a bunch of (well, nine) tile jpegs, with standard tile filenames. Each jpeg is 220x175 pixels: (top row) tile_1_0_0.jpg tile_1_1_0.jpg tile_1_2_0.jpg (middle row) tile_1_0_1.jpg tile_1_1_1.jpg tile_1_2_1.jpg (bottom row) tile_1_0_2.jpg tile_1_1_2.jpg tile_1_2_2.jpg How can I use imagemagick/montage to 'glue' or join them all together to make a single, coherent image? I don't want to resize them at all, so I guess the final image should be 660x525. That would be montage with no framing, shadowing, bordering, etc - just the nine original images, glued together to make a single jpeg. I know it should be something along these lines, but I'm struggling with getting the order and sizing right: montage +frame +shadow +label -tile 3x3 -geometry <options> *.jpg joined.jpg

  • Problem with button addition when double clicking a command label

    Hy, I got an intersting problem which I stumbled upon. When I double click a label in a JLabel I want to add another button in a JPanel, its a shorter way to make a dragg and drop. The problem is that the button doesn't appears only if i'll position the mouse on the area the button should appear. Why does it happens this way? Anyone got a clue? Are there some thread related issues involved? Thanks in advance

    I have a file that contains a list of files: 02 of Clubs.eps 02 of Diamonds.eps 02 of Hearts.eps 02 of Spades.eps ... I am attempting to mass-convert these to png format in several sizes. It would be great to have some sort of document that asks Firebug to open a push channel from the document, versus the more common scenario of the debugger pulling information from the debugee document.   • Deploying a Web Application from the command line

    Hi. Im looking to deploy a web application on a build server. It is a very small web app and so far i have written a nice little console app that checks out from SVN and then calls msbuild on the .sln file. This of course is not the same as publishing a web app and so far have not found a programatic way of publishing. So my question is this.. After msbuild has run can i simply delete all .cs and .vb files and then deploy? or Should i really try and find a way to publish programatically?

    I have a script that checks the class (integer) of a , runs a switch statement to change that integer value to text and appends the text to another in the same listitem tag. I use the .each() function because each listitem starts with class=_[user ID] -- each user can have up to 5 entries..   • Get ANSI-colored output from external command

    I am writing a small script for watchr that runs my PHP unit tests. Current script runs tests using system() and displays them colored. I am trying to add libnotify functionality, but for that I need to parse the output and match against regexp, so that notification will either display green or red. system() doesn't return output, %x does return, but puts p doesn't display colors, which I need to quickly see which test failed. One option would be to run tests twice - once for display in terminal window, and second time for checking which notification to show, but I would rather avoid it.

  • Batch file command PAUSE does not work

    I am creating a simple batch file to assist in a few things, and I have some instructions that it prints out as well that I want the user to see before exit. Currently, the window closes very quickly. So I added PAUSE at the end of the file, but it does not want to work. I looked at other questions on SO and have checked to make sure the line endings are CRLF and that I have CRLF at the end of the file. Any suggestions?

  • Error log of make command in Linux

    I am compiling a kernel module and it has many compilation errors in it. After running "make", the errors thrown out are too many to fit in the screen. Scrolling up doesn't reach the first error. I tried capturing the errors by doing make &2 log which didn't work (log file was empty and the error messages were still dumped on screen). Can someone please tell me how to go about logging all the messages generated during compilation/make into a logfile?

    I have two zip archives. Say, set1 has 10 csv files created using Mac OS X 10.5.8 compress option, and set2 has 4 csv files similarly created. I want to take the 4 files from zipped archive set2 and add them to list of files in archive set1. Is there a way I can do that? I tried the following in Terminal: zip set1.zip set2.zip This adds the whole archive set2.zip to set1.zip, i.e., in set1.zip now I have: file1.csv, file2.csv,..., file10.csv, set2.zip What I instead want is: file1.csv, file2.csv,..., file10.csv, file11.csv, ..., file14.csv where, set2.zip is the archive containing file11.csv, ..., file14.csv.   • DATA command hangs

    Hello, what can i do, if a Mailserver accepts a connection but does not return any data? The default javax.mail implementation just hangs indefinitley. Event setting the smtp.timeout does not help - it still hangs. I even tried to set a custom SocketFactory to set the sotimeouts and solinger directly, but it still hangs. Somehow the socket does get kept alive? But how? Thx for any ideas! Ciao, Nils
