    I have a format of pages that I want to perform an A/B comparison on using google website optimizer. the URLs look as follows - the first page I want to compare... <mywebsite.com>/request1/([a-zA-Z0-9\-]*)_([0-9]+).htm vs <mywebsite.com>/request2/([a-zA-Z0-9\-]*)_([0-9]+).htm the goal page is <mywebsite.com>/request-sent.htm How can I set this up in google website optimizer? If it's not possible, are there alternative solutions available for doing such comparison reports online?

    I am creating a desktop application using AIR. In that application user is allowed to download some resources which have life span of 2 days. I am storing the date when the user is downloaded. But how can i check whether the date is passed 2 days or not? Right now I am checking with the current system date.But when the user changes the system date to back, it will start to work which i dont want. How the desktop applications say like flex builder and all having trial period.? How are they tracking the dates remaining? ~Umesh

    I'm currently doing integration testing on a live database and I have the following sql statement: var date = DateTime.Parse("01-01-2010 20:30:00"); var result = datacontext.Repository<IObject>().Where(r => r.DateTime > date).First(); Assert.IsFalse(result.Finished); I need to test if the results retrieved from the statement, where the given date is less then the date of the object, have Finished set to False. I do not know how many results I get back and currently I'm getting the first object of the list and check if that object has Finished set to false. I know testing only the first item of the list is not valid testing, as a solution for that I could iterate through the list and check all items on Finished, but putting logic in a Test is kinda going against the concept of writing 'good' tests. So my question is: Does anyone have a good solution of how to properly test the results of this list?

  • Safely convert UTC datetimes to local time (based on TZ) for calculations?

    Following from my last question which @Jon Skeet gave me a lot of help with (thanks again!) I am now wondering how I can safely work with date/times, stored as UTC, when they are converted back to Local Date/Time. As Jon indicated in my last question using DateTimeOffset represents an instant in time and there is no way to predict what the local time would be say a minute later. I need to be able to do calculations based on these date/times. So how can I assure when I pull the dates from the database, convert them to local date/time and do specific calculations on them they are going to be accurate?

    i cant for the life of me figure out how to change the date from default mm/dd/yyyy to the european dd/mm/yyyy the manual states to use: $.datepicker.formatDate('yy-mm-dd', new Date(2007, 1 - 1, 26)); so far i have: $('#next_date').datepicker(); which shows the calendar fine but im not sure where the first line of code goes. this for example disables the calendar, nothing shows up, no js errors reported $('#next_date').datepicker.formatDate('yy-mm-dd', new Date(2007, 1 - 1, 26));

  • MySQL Need some help with a query

    I'm trying to fix some data by adding a new field. I have a backup from a few months ago and I have restored this database to my server. I'm looking at table called pads, its primary key is PadID and the field of importance is called RemoveMeDate. In my restored (older) database there is less records with an actual date set in RemoveMeDate. My control date is 2001-01-01 00:00:00 meaning that the record is not hidden aka visible. What I need to do is select all the records from the older database / table with the control date and join with those from the newer db /table where the control date is not set. I hope I've explained that correctly. I'll try again, with numbers. I have 80,000 visible records in the older table (with control date set) and 30,000 in the newer db/table. I need to select the 50,000 from the old database, to perform an update query.     Hi all, I have an array that has 30 date objects. The date objects are indexed in the array from the minimum date value to the maximum date value. What I would like to do is retrieve only 7 dates from the array. Out of the 7, the first one should be the minDate and the last should be the maxDate, with 5 dates in the middle. The 7 numbers should increment evenly from the minDate to the maxDate. How would I accomplish this? Hope I was clear. Thanks, Tonih

I created a very simple class, didn't define any comparison methods, but still instances of this class are comparable and thus sortable. Maybe, my class inherits comparison methods from somewhere. But I don't want this behaviour.

    Hi all I am trying to add two jquery plugins files to my application. When a user triggers my ajax event, the server will return text with a form button. The plugins (a jquery calendar) will work when the user clicks the form button inside the returned text . I believe I have to add the link inside the return text instead of the main page to let the code work, but not sure how to do this. I am giving out my code and need you experts opinions. Thanks.     I have some code as follows: private function onComboChange(evt:Event):void { var temp:Date = df_date.selectedDate; temp.date += 5; df_dateDue.selectedDate = new Date(temp); } In essence, I am trying to add 5 days onto the selected date in df_date, and put that date into df_dateDue. This fires off via an EventListener on a combobox. Both df_date and df_dateDue are dateFields. OK, so the first time that I run this, it works fine; df_date stays the same and df_dateDue is set to 5 days past df_date. However, the next time that I run it, df_dateDue increments by 10 days from df_date, the next time by 15, and so on. So, stepping through the code shows that somehow df_date has become linked to the temp var, and that the temp var is not resetting itself each time the function is called. Example: df_date = 01 Jan, df_dateDue = 01 Jan. Fire off the event, df_date = 01 Jan, df_dateDue = 06 Jan Fire off the event again. At this point, var temp = 06 Jan (even though df_date still shows 01 Jan), and df_dateDue is then set to 11 Jan Fire off the event again. At this point var temp = 11 Jan (even though df_date = 01 Jan), and df_dateDue is then set to 16 Jan What am I missing here?

    I have a table with 3 fields: color, fruit, date. I can pick 1 fruit and 1 color, but I can do this only once each day. examples: red, apple, monday red, mango, monday blue, apple, monday blue, mango, monday red, apple, tuesday The two ways in which I could build the table are: 1.- To have color, fruit and date be a composite primary key (PK). This makes it easy to insert data into the table because all the validation needed is done by the database. PK color PK fruit PK date 2.- Have and id column set as PK and then all the other fields. Many say thats the way it should be, because composite PKs are evil. For example, CakePHP does no support them. PK id color fruit date Both have advantages. Which would be the 'better' approach?

I want to use the sqlite date() function to reformat the current value of the column. Another issue with the airport weather data is that the time data is saved in 12 hour format.
