    I'm new to MSBuild, but I managed to setup the following simple script: <Project ToolsVersion="3.5" DefaultTargets="Compile" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/developer/msbuild/2003"> <PropertyGroup> <Configuration Condition="'$(Configuration)' == ''">Debug</Configuration> </PropertyGroup> <ItemGroup> <SolutionRoot Include=".." /> <BuildArtifacts Include=".\Artifacts\" /> <SolutionFile Include="..\SolutionName.sln" /> </ItemGroup> <Target Name="Clean"> <RemoveDir Directories="@(BuildArtifacts)" /> </Target> <Target Name="Init" DependsOnTargets="Clean"> <MakeDir Directories="@(BuildArtifacts)" /> </Target> <Target Name="Compile" DependsOnTargets="Init"> <MSBuild Projects="@(SolutionFile)" Properties="OutDir=%(BuildArtifacts.FullPath);Configuration=$(Configuration)" /> <MakeDir Directories="%(BuildArtifacts.FullPath)\_PublishedWebsites\RDE.XAP.UnifiedGui.Web\Temp" /> </Target> </Project> The solution has 23 projects, 4 of which are WebApps. Now, the script works fine and the output is generated correctly. The only problem I counter is with two WebApp projects in the solution that use the AJAX Control Toolkit. The toolkit has a set of folders (e.g. ar, it, es, fr) that contain localized resources. These folders are not copied in the bin directory of the WebApps when the solution is built in MSBuild, but they are copied when it is built in Visual Studio. How can I solve this in a clean manner? I know I could write a (quite convoluted) task that copies the directories after the compile, but it does not seem the right solution to me. Also, neither Google, SO and MSDN could provide more details on this kind of issue.

  • Start Codeblocks project from external code

    I have C++ code that depends on boost and other libraries, and therefore this code has a makefile that invokes boost. I am now trying to start developing this code in codeblocks in linux, so in order to do that I have two basic questions: (1) How can I import the code into codeblocks as a codeblocks new project? (2) How do I invoke the makefile with codeblocks instead of codeblocks trying to compile the code (which it would fail since codeblocks does not know that it needs to invoke boost). Sorry if it's too basic but I am quite new to C++ and codeblocks. Thanks!

  • Python server does not excecute PHP script: permission denied

    I am trying to execute a PHP file through a Python server. However, I get the following error: File "/System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/CGIHTTPServer.py", line 255, in run_cgi os.execve(scriptfile, args, os.environ) OSError: [Errno 13] Permission denied The python server is running though. What have I done so far? Chmod'ed recursively all directories to (chmod -R a+x) (I know this is not secure but its just for testing purposes) for both Python installation directories and my scripts. Tried to find out if python server is running as root through ps aux grep py I am out of ideas. What could be going wrong else? Thanks for the feedback.

    I have an HTML page like so: <html> <body> <div id='something'> ... <script> var x = 'hello world'; </script> ... </div> </body> </html> On another page, I am doing this: $.ajax({ url: 'example.html', type: 'GET', success: function(data) { $('#mydiv').html($(data).find('#something').html()); alert(x); } }); jQuery, however, is not executing the javascript in the first file, even though the documentation says it does. How can I make it do that? EDIT: Unfortunately in the real world application I am working on I don't have control over what the "included" page has. We are on the same domain, but I can't modify the code that it outputs as it is a packaged product our IT department will not let us modify.

  • Apple Script error: Can't get Folder

    I started using apple script today, because I wanted to be able to automatically send files to someone when they go into a specific folder. I first tried with automator, but the files were never attached into emails, so i figured i could try with apple script. At first, I tried simply create an email with an attached file. The email was created, but the file was not attached. After a while, I stumbled onto this post that was trying to list files from a folder, so I tried that just to compare it to my code. It gave me an error telling me it is impossible to list files from that folder. So I tried setting a path to a specific folder, and I got an error saying the path can't be made. This is the code I used for the last part: tell application "Finder" set folderPath to folder "Macintosh HD: Users:Jonathan:Desktop:Send_Mail" set fileList to name of every file in folderPath end tell and this is the error I got. error "Finder got an error: Can’t get folder \"Macintosh HD: Users:Jonathan:Desktop:Send_Mail\"." number -1728 from folder "Macintosh HD: Users:Jonathan:Desktop:Send_Mail". I later tried with another folder, and I always get this error, even when using the Users folder for example. Any Suggestions? thanks

  • Dots and spaces in variable names from external sources are converted to underscores

    Trying a bit of AJAX, and I find that much of my data is littered with underscores! Documentation confirms that this is working as intended. Any way to pass my form information to PHP intact? I'm using CodeIgniter, so my pass looks like /controller/function/variable, receiving controller: controller{ function($v=0){#what once was hello world is now hello_world...} } I can't very well do an undo, data might contain an underscore. The lightwindow script does not work because of the accordion script because if I delete the latter the lightwindow script works. There must be a conflict but what? This was very surprising to me and could be a big problem in situations where you deploy new versions of a library without recompiling applications. Does anyone else have experience with this? Are there any good solutions? This makes it tempting to add empty overrides that just calls base in case I need to add some code at that level in the future...

  • Server 2012 GPO: PowerShell Script on Computer Startup not running

    I've got a couple of Server 2012 instances on Amazon EC2 and I'm in the process of setting up the GPOs. All of the settings of the GPOs are being applied fine, except none of the PowerShell scripts specified on computer startup are actually being executed. The scripts are sitting on a UNC share which has Authenticated Users applied to it with full permissions. I'm assuming it probably has something to do with the Execution Policy, but I'm not sure how to automatically bypass it. I could just go in each instance and bypass the Execution Policy, but that's obviously not a good idea, plus I'm eventually going to connect Windows 7 computers that will be running the same scripts. How can I get the scripts to actually run? Google searches hasn't yielded a whole lot...

  • Troubles with PyDev and external libraries in OS X

    I've successfully installed the latest version of PyDev in my Eclipse (3.5.1) under OS X 10.6.3, with python 2.6.1 I have troubles in making the libraries I have installed work. For example, I'm trying to use the cx_Oracle library, which is perfectly working if called from the python interpeter of from simple scripts made with some text editor.   • Excel COM Add-In dialog interrupts script

    Hi all! I have written an Excel COM Add-In in C++ for automation of Excel with VBA. It contains an own dialog showing some general informations about the Add-In. Now i create a button in Excel that opens the dialog. Leaving the dialog with the escape key leads to an Excel message that the script is being interrupted instead of just closing the dialog. I could suppress the interruption message with: Application.EnableCancelKey = xlDisabled But that seems not to be the solution as the script can not be interrupted any more.     I usually work with a svn repository located in my local office network. Sometimes, when I'm home, I need to connect to my office svn repository. The problem is that, when I'm in office, to reach the svn repo I use an internal LAN IP (like 192.168.1.200), but when I'm home the IP is different, because I reach the server from an externel connection.     We use the following function to auto detect if we are on a machine internally or on a live server and then choose the appropriate configs for various components. function devIsLocal(){ $res=false; $http_host=$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']; if($http_host=='localhost')$res=true; if($http_host=='127.0.0.1')$res=true; if(substr($http_host,-4)=='.lan')$res=true; if(strpos($http_host, '.')===false)$res=true; return($res); } As you can see it only relies on the HTTP_HOST value. Of course, if you have use virtual host locally like example.com then the function will be tricked. Are there any other ways to fool the function? and what other variables/places could we peek at to determine where we are?

  • Script working with mysql and php into a textarea and back

    I am trying to write a custom script that will keep a list of strings in a textarea. Each line of the textarea will be a row from a table. The problem I have is how to work the script to allow for adding, updating, or deleting rows based on a submit. So, for instance, I currently have 3 rows in the database: john sue mark I want to be able to delete sue and add richard and it will delete the row with sue and insert a row for richard.   • Shutdown and WakeUp Script C#

    Hiya I am very new to C#, infact this is basically my first task set by work whilst i learn the language. Yes i am also new to programming, be gentle :). Context: My script needs to query active directory, grab of OU's and put them to a combo box in a form. Next query ActDir for a list of machines in a selected OU (Done this in a vbscript already) Next query the machines in turn for there IP, and MAC addresses.(Done this in a vbscript already) Next needs to shut those machines down(Done this in a vbscript already) and dump all the machine and NIC info to a txt file The other half of the script grabs the info for the machines out of the text file and sends them a magic packet to wake them up. The shutdown section i have already written a VBscript for, but decided it wasn't future prrof, and i was learninc C# at home, so figured it was the best option to start over with. Im not looking for anyone to write this for me, but if anyone had any pointers on where to go for information etc. . . It would be more than appreciated :)

  • SSRS: Report loading external images, image not found, can I hide the image control

    My SSRS report loads logo images for each customer from a customer number specific folder on the report server. I write an expression, to form my URL to the image based on th customer number. ..."http://localhost/images/" + iCustomerNumber.ToString() + "/logo.gif" I am able to get this working, but the problem I face is, when a particular customer doesn't has an image, then my report shows a red X mark in place of the logo. In this case, I expect to hide the image control itself. Any thoughts???? The other dirty solution will be to ensure that each customer specific folder has the designated image! even if there is no logo for a customer, I'll place a blank.gif or a spacer.gif of probably a square pixel in dimension!.
