    During a make, I'm seeing an error along the lines of: cc1: warnings being treated as errors somefile.c:200: error: the frame size of 1032 bytes is larger than 1024 bytes The line number points to the closing brace of a c function that has a signature like this: void trace(SomeEnum1 p1, SomeEnum2 p2, char* format, ...) { Anyone know what this type of error means in general?

To give a simple example: I need object A to perform action X. Object A needs P, Q and R to perform this action X. This means the administrator should NOT have to mark the product as new using the 'New from Date' and 'New to Date' attributes in the 'General' tab.     I'm using the built in sqlite library on the Android platform. I'm considering adding several general purpose fields that users will be able to use for their own custom applications, but these fields will be blank most of the time. My question is, how much overhead will these blank fields add to my database? Do null fields even take up per record memory in sqlite? If so, how much? I don't quite understand the inner workings of a sqlite database.

    I'm not really understanding the interaction/differences between settings and config files. If I add an entry to the settings file, it gets added to the app.config as well. Does this mean that changing the value in the app.config will update the settings? If not, how do I update settings in a live application? What's the general purpose of using a settings file instead of putting things directly in app.config?

    If you have a C++ project that has a bunch of .ODL files and the generated .h files from the ODL compiler, should doxygen be told to parse both .odl and .h, or only one or the other? In general I don't like documenting generated code but IDL is sort of a special case. In any case, it seems like the member listing of ODL files is not quite working properly in my tests, are ODL files properly parsed?

    The title sums it up. I'll get this out of the way and say I am aware that css hacks are dirty ugly horrible things. Sometimes dirty problems call for dirty solutions though :) So does anyone know of a css selector hack that works for recent safari versions but is not a general webkit hack ? My site behaves properly in chrome but has a bug in safari. So if anyone knows how i can select an element to only have a certain style in safari let me know!

    I am implementing a simple(hopefully) security manager within an application. Is it better to have predefined(static) roles, custom roles(dynamic)? I am leaning more towards dynamic groups or roles only because then it would not require a redeploy to update the system. Also, what would be the best approach to define resources in general? The application has a database that can hold either the static or dynamic values.

    Hello, I have a ejb module which contains my ejbs as well as web services. I am using Netbeans 6.8 and Glassfish V3 I right clicked on my web service and clicked "edit web service attributes" and then checked "secure service" and then selected keystore of my server. Then i made another project and added web service client and again right clicked on "edit web service attributes" and gave password as test and test. This username and password (test) is in Glassfish server in file realm. But when i try to invoke my webservice i always get SEC5046: Audit: Authentication refused for [test]. SEC1201: Login failed for user: test What am i doing wrong? Am i missing something?
