  • reencode several videos with virtualdub?

    I have about 50 small videos (and a few large videos). I want to convert them all with the SAME settings. Its basically change audio to X with Y bitrate, change video to xvid. and do full processing on the video and audio. Then force the FPS to 15 since every program i tried (including virtualdub) thinks it 0.3 FPS. How do i apply all of these settings to all of my files?

  • Reduce size of MP4

    I have a MP4 file with a lengh of 22:44. Here are the details: Video: width: 720 px height: 404 px data bitrate: 1022 kBit/s overall bitrate: 1182 kBit/s fps: 24 codec: H264 - MPEG4 AVC (part 10) (avc1) Audio: bitrate: 159 kBit/s stereo sample rate: 48 kHz codec: MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a) I thought I can reduce the current filesize (about 200 MB) by reducing the width and the height (420 x 236). I tried different programs: Handbrake, Format Factory, Next Video Converter and Super. The first three didn't worked as expected: Handbrake has a bug by setting the width and the height, the next two doesn't allow the fine setting of the videosize (only presets of width and height). Super seems to be the best, but I didn't found a setting which reduces the file size. I reduced the width and the height but only got 20 MB less. Now I tried the xth setting and I still get a too high file size. I want to reduce the filesize to 100 MB or less. The ouput format should be FLV or MP4, because I need this for flowplayer. Which settings of SUPER or which program should I use to reduce the file size? Of course the video should still be viewable.

Is this the reason? Is this representation documented anywhere? EDIT: I notice that Tab is represented by ^I, which is the ninth letter of the Latin alphabet. Conversely, Tab is \x09 or decimal 9, which supports my theory stated above. However, where might this be documented as fact?

However,this representation is hugely different from what I use "view page source" in my Firefox,and since I need to scrape data from the original webpage(some data segement in the original "view page source" file),it will always fail to find required text on this Java representation. Did I go wrong somewhere?I need your advice guys,thanks a lot for helping!

  • Avoid richfaces to send back javascript libraries in the ajax responses

    I'm using JSF 1.2 with Richfaces, and for every ajax request, the server is sending back the response, whichi is good, but it also contains all the links to the javascript files. I want to improve the performance so I just want the <body> to be returned, because all the javascript files are already loaded in the browser when the user logs in (my app is not restful). How can i do that?   • PHP Include and accents (They show up as ?)

    I'm using PHP include to include a PHP file that has HTML in it. some of the content has french accents and these show up as ? on the site. How can this be solved?   • Special characters incongruence

    Hello I'm building a Spring MVC web application that runs on Tomcat 6.0.20 and JDK 1.6.0_19. When I send some special characters through an HTML form some of them are stored as question marks ? For example these symbols are stored correctly: €, á, é, í, ‰, etc But some symbols are replaced with ? like: £, ?, ? MySQL tables charset is utf-8. My jsp also use utf-8 <%@ page language="java" contentType="text/html; charset=UTF-8" pageEncoding="UTF-8" %> I have included org.springframework.web.filter.CharacterEncodingFilter in web.xml as suggested here When I debug the POST request when sending 3 characters €a£ with firebug I get: %E2%82%ACa%E2%82%A4 which is correct since E2 82 AC is the code for € and E2 82 A4 is the code for £ but £ is stored as ? in the database. When I save £ directly into the database it is displayed correctly in the webpage. How can I fix this?

    Example: The following string is defined in a json.js file. var test = "One complimentary entrée with the purchase of an entrée."; It is included in an index.html file by <script type="text/JavaScript" src="./json.js"></script> When the string is displayed in UI, it shows up as "One complimentary entr?e with the purchase of an entr?e." But if string is defined directly in the index.html, then it is not a problem. Can anyone suggest a solution on how to keep the text in the separate .js file?

  • Using FFMPEG to reliably convert videos to mp4 for iphone/ipod and flash players

    I need to convert videos for use in both a flash player and the iphone/ipod touch. I'm using the following batch script with ffmpeg: @echo off ffmpeg.exe -i %1 -s qvga -acodec libfaac -ar 22050 -ab 128k -vcodec libx264 -threads 0 -f ipod %2 This always outputs an mp4 file, and I can always play it on my PC. The videos also seem to play fine on my iphone 3GS. But with some input files it won't work for older iphone versions (3G and iPod touch).     Hi all! Do you have any idea how to covert different Unicode characters to their closest ASCII equivalents? Like Ä - A. A googled but didn't find any suitable solution. Trick Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes("Ä")[0] didn't work. (Result was ?). I found that there is class Encoder that has Fallback property that is exactly for cases when char can't be converted, but implementations (EncoderReplacementFallback) are stupid and convert to ?.     Hi, i need to convert a Utf-16BE in ISO-8859-1 in PHP (i'm not an expert in encoding so i don't know if Utf-16 and Utf-16BE are the same thing). I've read somewhere to use the mb_convert_encoding function but i haven't that function because i don't have the multibyte extension installed. So do you know an alternative method to do this?
