  How to detect a column included in WHERE clause but used in indexed? Little Background: Until the time the table has few number of records things will be okay, once it started having millions of records then index should be created for a column which is used in WHERE clauses in stored procs, inline queries etc., Since we have hundreds of stored procs and queries that often gets changed by the devs I wanted to have a automated way of identifying those columns that are used in WHERE clauses but not an index is created. How to do that in SQL SERVER 2008?

• Serve external template in Django

  Hey, I want to do something like return render_to_response("http://docs.google.com/View?id=bla", args) and serve an external page with django arguments. Django doesn't like this (it looks for templates in very particular places). What's the easiest way make this work? Right now I'm thinking to use urllib to save the page to somewhere locally on my server and then serve with the templates pointing to there. Note: I'm not looking for anything particularly scalable here, I realize my proposal above is a little dirty.

  I've had a little search and I was wondering if there is back compatibility for the .NET framework. The real question is, if there's a program that uses .NET Framework 1.1, can I install 3.5 and be done, or do I have to install 1.1 and then if something uses 3.5 I have to install 3.5 as well?

• Can I make Visual Studio's code completion window more like Eclipse (Java)?

  Is it possible to make Visual Studio 2010's code completion window more like that of Eclipse (Java)? In particular, I'd love the code completion window to give me a variable's type, and a method's return type and expected parameters, without needing to hover the highlight over that particular variable/method. VS's code completion's little icons that indicate if something is a property, method etc are useful, but they just aren't enough.

• msys+mingw - is there installer or at least .tar.lzma/.zip?

  I try to install n'th time the msys+mingw - however with little success. I need the minimal developer system (standard tools such as sed/awk+autotools+gcc) however each time something is not working (for example currently when I try to run autotools m4 goes into some error loop on AC_INIT). I know they stopped providing installer 'for easy update of components' and they are working on something but maybe there is something unofficial.

• Sending an int array through Winsocks

  I'm trying to send an int array through Winsocks. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure only a char* is supported so I'm kind of stuck on how to do this properly. There are also problems with little/big edian, so what would be a good way to do this? A subclass of UIButton is a little inconvenient to use in IB, so I'd prefer to add the behavior to UIButton itself. How can I create a SQL script from the command prompt or Powershell that will let me insert the files into a simple table with the following schema: XMLDataFiles ( xmlFileName varchar(255) , content xml ) All I need is for something to generate a script with a bunch of insert statements.   I have a scanned image of a book page and i need to crop this scan for leaving only page area. I tried to use AForge to detect page borders, but it doesn't work because the space which i need to crop may consist of little "light" areas (due to scanner quality) and edge detector detects borders there. That's why this is bad idea as for me. Could you recommend something? P.S. Please don't tell me to use non-free libraries.

  Ok, so I've read both PEP 8 and PEP 257, and I've written lots of docstrings for functions and classes, but I'm a little unsure about what should go in a module docstring. I figured, at a minimum, it should document the functions and classes that the module exports, but I've also seen a few modules that list author names, copyright information, etc. Does anyone have an example of how a good python docstring should be structured?

But streampad uses a flash progress bar for the song and JavaScript for everything else and I am having a hard time finding anyone who does this with JavaScript alone.
