  Hello, I am trying to change the content of a specific line in a batch of files. I thought that would be a piece of cake but for some reason, nothing happens, so I guess I am missing something. Line 8 should have been replaced. • How to run red5 apps on a remote server?

  I've got a really nasty problem... I wrote a red5 app and so on and it is running perfectly on my local computer. Now the problem occurs = How can I make this program work on a remote server? Local : OSX 10.5 - red5 0.63 Server: CentOS 5 - red5 0.90 Maybe its because of the version difference... but I can't test red5 0.90 locally becaus it won't start up -.-' and I can't install the 0.63 on the server because of missing dependencies (and broken links to them...)

• Compiling Glib Code on Ubuntu

  I'm trying to compile ARCCC (https://sourceforge.net/projects/arccc/) on Ubuntu 9.10, but I'm getting the make error "glib.h: No such file or directory", and the autoconfig script reports that Glib isn't installed. However, I have the libglib2.0-dev package installed, which appears to provide all the glib headers. Is there something missing/wrong with the Ubuntu package, or the Autoconf script incorrect?

• How to use java ee 6 @Resource annotation

  The java ee 6 api has an annotation @Resource with an attribute 'lookup', however, so does the java se 6 api (here). However, since java ee 6 is dependent on java se 6, it seems you can not get at the ee version of the annotation and the 'lookup' attribute. Is this a bug or is there some other way to use this annotation that I am missing. TIA

  Hi, I am doing this: @person.attributes = params[:person] Can anyone give me a clue as to why doing an attributes= would cause a bunch of SQL to show in my logs? I see a couple of SELECT and even an UPDATE. I swear I am not doing a "save" -- so I have no idea why setting attributes would trigger queries. Is there a before_ of after_ filter I am missing?   I set up Aslak's Cucumber.tmbundle in Texmate, set up PATH in Shell Variables to /Users/gerhard/.rvm/bin:/Users/gerhard/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11/bin but when I run any of the bundle commands I get this: env: sh\r: No such file or directory /usr/bin/env sh is in the search path, so what am I missing?

  I just downloaded the Google Collections sources and imported them into a new Eclipse project with JDK 1.6. They don't compile for a couple of reasons: javax.annotation.Nullable can not be found javax.annotation.ParametersAreNonnullByDefault can not be found Cannot reduce the visibility of the inherited method #createCollection() from AbstractMultimap + 11 similar ones Name clash: The method forcePut(K, V) of type AbstractBiMap has the same erasure as forcePut(Object, Object) of type BiMap but does not override it + 2 similar ones What am I missing? I also wonder if unit tests for these collections are available to the public.

• FirePHP not returning ajax request queries, yet returns normal page load queries

  I am using firePHP(Zend profiler) on on FF 3.6.3(firephp addon installed) and it returns queries, when I do a normal page load. Ajax requests, however, are not returning the proper queries. I am using Prototype 1.6.0.2 for ajax requests. Is there something I am missing? Most of the write-ups seem to imply that this should work by default.

  Hi, I copied an MSAccess 2007 db from a workstation onto another workstation. I added the DB folder to Trusted Locations. I check the file properties readonly flag, but it is unchecked. But the database is opened in ReadOnly mode. What am I missing here please??? Malcolm

• Getting logging.debug() to work on Google App Engine/Python

  I'm just getting started on building a Python app for Google App Engine. In the localhost environment I'm trying to send debug info to the GoogleAppEngineLauncher Log Console via logging.debug(), but it isn't showing up. However, anything sent through, say, logging.info() or logging.error() does show up. I've tried a logging.basicConfig(level=logging.DEBUG) before the logging.debug(), but to no avail. What am I missing?
