• C# WinForms ErrorProvider Control

  Hi Does anyone know if there is a way to get a list of controls that have the ErrorProvider icon active. ie. any controls that failed validation. I'm trying to avoid looping all controls in the form. I'd like to display some sort of message indicating how many errors there are on the form. As my form contains tabs I'm trying to make it apparent to the user that errors may exist on inactive tabs and they need to check all tabs. Thanks Barry

  Hi, I get this error when I define my attached dependency properties in a class outside the class hierarchy and set the owner to a common parent class. Attached dependency property in WindowBase class (outside class hierarchy = generated error): public static readonly DependencyProperty AreaColorProperty = DependencyProperty.RegisterAttached("AreaColor", typeof(AreaColor), typeof(Window)); TemplateBinding that fails {TemplateBinding local:WindowBase.AreaColor} If I instead define the attached dependency property in a class within the class heirarchy and set the owner to this class, then I don't get any errors, why is this?   i had a previously working configuration with the config files used in a previous question However, i've changed this now to the following configuration using server mode, everything on the logs seem fine, however the client doesn't create any tun interface, so i don't have anything to connect to, presumably, i need to add or push some route commands, but i don't have any idea at this point what i need to do.   I'm trying to implement Sun Tutorials RMI application that calculates Pi. I'm having some serious problems and I cant find the solution eventhough I've been searching the entire web and several javaskilled people. I'm hoping you can put an end to my frustrations. The crazy thing is that I can run the application from the cmd on my desktop computer. Trying the exact same thing with the exact same code in the exact same directories on my laptop produces the following errors. The problem occures when I try to connect the client to the server. The compile is a success but it does not catch the view compilation errors. I have Vs2010 ultimate, vs 2008 developer+database edition on this machine. So either it compiles ignoring the errors with some combinations of the fixes I've tried, or it errors with Error 410 It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level.   We're using xVal and the standard DataAnnotationsValidationRunner described here to collect validation errors from our domain objects and view models in ASP.NET MVC. I'd like to have a way to have that validation runner identify when two properties don't match through the use of custom DataAnnotations. Right now I'm forced into doing it outside of the runner, this way: if (!(model.FieldOne == model.FieldTwo)) errors.Add(new ErrorInfo("FieldTwo", "FieldOne must match FieldTwo", model.FieldTwo)); My question is: can this be done using property-level validation attributes, or am I forced into using class-level attributes (in which case, I'd have to modify the runner...and my follow up question would be how best to retrieve them in that case).   UPDATE (3/8/2010) I installed Xdebug and have it tracing my code. I have installed everything the same way on a local server and it works fine. To say I am at a complete loss would be putting it lightly. *NOTE: I ran make test and it returned FAIL on every test. I never ran this on my working machine to see if it reports the same errors. Any idea why make test would report FAIL but make doesn't report any error? I've installed the Oracle Instantclient with no reported errors along with the OCI8 PECL package and at a loss. Whenever I try to open a connection with oci_connect, it halts my entire PHP script. EXAMPLE: <?php ini_set ("display_errors", "1"); error_reporting(E_ALL); echo "before"; $conn = oci_connect("username", "password", "host"); echo "after"; ?> Returns a complete blank page. The module is loaded (seen in phpinfo) and everything installed with no errors. I am at a complete loss. CentOS: 5.4 Apache: 2.2.3 PHP: 5.3.1 InstantClient: 11.2 oci8: 1.4.1 Any thoughts? • webbrowser disable script debugging in Visual Basic 6

  Hi, I want to disable script errors from popping up in a VB6 application. (I have VB6 installed on this machine). Currently, if I navigate to a particular page, it pops up saying "INternet Explorer Script Error: An error has ocurred in the script on this page" ... "Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?" Setting the webbrowser1.silent to 'true' does not work. Instead all that happens, is instead of displaying an error message, it starts up the actual 'script' debugger, and then exits the program. On a machine without the (visual studio) debugger, it still pops up a message asking to use the debugger, i.e., on Vista, (when silent is set to true). Manually changing the 'disable script debugging (other)' (and regular one), doesn't seem to working in MSIE (also testing version 6.0 for xp users). How do I disable script errors? • CUDA: How to reuse kernels in multiple files (for unit testing)

  How can I go about reusing the same kernel without getting fatal linking errors due to defining the symbol multiple times In Visual Studio I get "fatal error LNK1169: one or more multiply defined symbols found" My current structure is as follows: Interface.h has an extern interface to a C function: myCfunction() (ala the C++ integration SDK example) Kernel.cu contains the actual __global__ kernels and is NOT included in the build: __global__ my_kernel() Wrapper.cu inlcudes Kernel.cu and Interface.h and calls my_kernel<<<...>>> This all works fine. But if I add another C function in another file which also includes Kernel.cu and uses those kernels, I get the errors. So how can I reuse the kernels in Kernel.cu among many C functions in different files. The purpose of this by the way is unit testing, and integrating my kernels with CPP unit, if there is no way to reuse kernels (there must be!) then other suggestions for unit testing kernels within my existing CPP unit framework would be appreciate. • Web Site in solution where "Rebuild Solution" compile succeeds cannot launch debugger

  I have a solution that includes a Web Site (created using the web site template not the web app project template - converting isn't an option, btw). When I rebuild all, the compile succeeds, but strangely displays 3 errors, all of which are "Could not get dependencies for project reference 'PROJNAME'". When I try to launch the debugger, I get the "There were build errors." dialogue. Two questions: If I choose the 'Yes' option in the debug error dialogue to run the last successful build, will it run on the code that my Rebuild All just compiled? How do I resolve this issue? I checked this post and am disheartened by my prospects. What is strange, though, is that I added these same projects to a separate web site solution that compiled/debugged fine, removed the test web site and re-added the target website I would like to debug, and it failed in the same manner.   Is anyone successfully using the CJ web services? I just keep getting java.lang.NullPointerExceptions even though my app is .net (clearly their errors). CJ support doesn't even know what a web service is. I googled and found many people getting this or other errors. Question is: is it a temporary problem or am I doomed to parse manually downloaded reports for eternity? The specific API I'm trying to use is the daily publisher commission service.   I'm getting the following errors from MSBuild while trying to build a solution: C:\dev\MySln.sln : warning MSB3422: Failed to retrieve VC project information through the VC project engine object model. Unable to determine default tool for the specified file configuration. C:\dev\MySln.sln : warning MSB3425: Could not resolve VC project reference "C:\dev\MyProj.vcproj". Have you got any ideas on what's causing this? I've seen other postings about similar, but different errors such as when the MSB3422 error has a different message and shows "Illegal characters in path.", but I haven't seen any useful information about how to solve the error I'm getting where it says "Unable to determine default tool for the specified file configuration.". • Cannot login with PhpMyAdmin on Mac os x 10.6. Does anyone know a fix to this error message?

  Hi, I just reinstalled Mac Os X 10.6.2 and had to reinstall/update my MySQL server. I run phpMyAdmin inside my localhost and I used to be able to login without a hitch. Since the updated (latest version MySQL 5.1.45 & PMA 3.3.1) versions I only get the following error when trying to login with phpMyAdmin: phpMyAdmin - Error Cannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or webserver log file and configure your PHP installation properly. The only thing I noticed is that mcrypt cannot be loaded (this has always been the case, no idea what to do to install this..) but this has never been a problem before. If anyone know what to do here that would be really appreciated. Thanks for reading, Jannis PS: The MySQL server itself is running and I am able to login with as root user via the MySQL Administrator.app
