    Hello, I want to know how to add some sort of emblem or badge to a specific file. Just like drop box does to a specific file when it is doing a sync. I found that the guys from drop box are able to do that on linux by using libnautilus package. But I need to do so on windows and haven't been able to find an answer.   • PHP text parsing and / or make your own language?

    Been Googling around without finding much at all, so does anyone know of a class or library that helps you parse any sort of language, like a Domain Specific Language (I'm creating one, so I'm flexible in what the syntax and format can be) into either PHP code or some helpful struct or a class hiearchy or ... ? Anything goes at this point. :) I want to experiment with parsing text files into tokens, building up a small grammar and syntax library to express things like Business Natural Languages.

  • doxygen with IDL/ODL

    If you have a C++ project that has a bunch of .ODL files and the generated .h files from the ODL compiler, should doxygen be told to parse both .odl and .h, or only one or the other? In general I don't like documenting generated code but IDL is sort of a special case. In any case, it seems like the member listing of ODL files is not quite working properly in my tests, are ODL files properly parsed?

  • Using routing (?) to make GET request in Rails so ID doesn't show

    I have a link in one view myapp/locations that goes to myapp/statistics?id=1 (statistics for location with ID 1) which works fine but it doesn't look pretty. I think I've seen people do this sort of thing without needing the ?id=1? I could use a POST but this is not RESTful. Is there a way I can use routing to allow the user to go to myapp/statistics?id=1 but have the user see myapp/statistics? Many thanks.

  • Git: Find duplicate blobs (files) in this tree

    This is sort of a follow-up to this question. If there are multiple blobs with the same contents, they are only stored once in the git repository because their SHA-1's will be identical. How would one go about finding all duplicate files for a given tree? Would you have to walk the tree and look for duplicate hashes, or does git provide backlinks from each blob to all files in a tree that reference it?

    What are some non commercial deployment tools that allows a developer to speficy: a branch/tag, a revision and a target machine to deploy code to? I was wondering if there's a ccnet plugin of some sort that would allow the above to be specified. I know this could be done with a NAnt deploy script.     i'm trying to get a list of the most recent used applications. NSWorkspace returns me a list of active applications and i can sort them on a few options using NSRunningApplication. see list below: launchDate finishedLaunching processIdentifier i dont want the lauch date but the recent 'active' date (like the way cmd-tab sorts). Does anyone knows the solution for this?

    Is there any way how to override DataGrids header line ? Or at least its behaviour ? I'm trying to implement Outlook-like grouping of the table. That is allow user to drag column header out of the table to the dedicated area to sort by that column (for example XamDataGrid has that feature, you can see how it works here).     Akamai is way too expensive. Photobucket is not reliable. Is there a great content delivery network that I can use just to host my images? We deploy images programmatically via FTP, so there is some programming behind the scenes. Having some sort of reporting about the reliability of the service, whether it's raw logs files or a web-based admin screen that shows http errors, would also be important. Has anyone worked with edgecast?

    I have an executable (no source) that I need to wrap, to make sure that it is not called more than once at a time. I immediately think of some sort of queue wrapper, but how do I actually make it so that my wrapper is called instead of the executable itself? Is there a better way to do this? The solution needs to be invisible because the users are other applications. Any information/recommendations are appreciated.

  • Why isn't this infinite recursion? How does default variable initialization work in VB.NET?

    I just made an interesting mistake in my code: Dim endColumn As Integer = startColumn + endColumn - 1 The code was actually supposed to be: Dim endColumn As Integer = startColumn + numColumns - 1 The interesting thing is, I would think that this code should be recursive and loop indefinitely, as the initialization of endColumn sort of calls itself. However, it seems that the code just treats the uninitialized variable as a 0 and so I get startColumn + 0 - 1. What is happening here behind the scenes? When does a variable get assigned a default value?

My code to send the emails worked and B.The emails were not marked as spam). I understood it as this until I tried it: Either A) def protocol(port): if port == "443": if bool("https://"): return True elif bool("http://"): return True return False Or B) def protocol(port): if port == "443": return True + "https://" else: return True + "http://" Is this some sort of special case in Python, or am I completely misunderstanding how statements work?

    In an interpreted language like PHP it is possible in theory to set up some sort of callback function that would be run indiscriminately after every line of code. I am wondering if such a thing exists in PHP or if such a thing could be accomplished in any way? Such a feature could be useful for diagnostics or performance tests.
