  • Suggest a open source project which heavily uses java concurrency utilities?

    I have done good amount of Java programming, but yet to master Threading & Concurrency. I would like to become an expert programmer in threading & concurrency. I have also took a short at Tomcat code, I was able to understand, but looking even more complex project. Could you suggest any open source project which heavily uses java threading & concurrency utilities? Note : I have also reading java.util.concurrent package source code, but eager to learn from Application perspective, than creating my own threading utilities.

  • How can I use SVN to manage my Firefox Extension project?

    I'm using SVN to manage my Firefox extension project, and this project contains an XPCOM component. Firefox is loading directly from my working directory by placing a text file with the working directory's path in the ./extensions directory of my user profile. When Firefox starts, my extension fails to load & overlay; examining the Error Console, I see that the error states that ".svn cannot be loaded as a component" - a reference to the .svn directory inside my "components" directory of the plug-in structure. Is there any way to get Firefox to ignore this directory, or get SVN to generate a working copy without the .svn directories in it?

  • How to get around circular references in Visual Studio Web Project?

    I am trying to create a set of WCF web services for an existing website that uses web site instead of a web application project. I would like to create a DLL that I drop into the Bin folder instead of writing all my code inside the App_Code directory. Ideally, I want to create a project and reference it from the web site, but I am running into a difficult situation. The DLL will need to reference configuration and other DLLs located inside the bin folder of the website causing a circular reference. How do I get around this issue?

  • Missing archetype.xml in new archetype created from project.

    Hi, I am using Maven 2.2.1. and am new to Maven. I am trying to create an archetype based on an existing project. I have been using this blog post as a guide: http://blog.inflinx.com/category/m2eclipse/ Step 7 says "The next step is to verify that the generated archetype.xml (located under srcmainresourcesMETA-INFmaven (sic)) has all the files listed and they are located in the right directories." My generated archetype does not have an archetype.xml. It does have an archetype-metadata.xml file though. There aren't any errors in the output from calling archetype:create-from-project, just a couple of warnings about using platform encoding (Cp1252). Any thoughts on why this file wasn't generated?   • How do I link a VS2008 C++ project as a DLL instead of a LIB?

    I have the C++ source code in a Visual Studio project from another developer that compiles into a static lib. I need to change it so that it builds a dll from that code so that I can call it from C#. I went into the project properties in Visual Studio and changed the configuration type to a DLL. However, it now gives lots of linker errors like: error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __CAP_Enter_Function XXXFilter.obj XXXFramework What else do I need to do in Visual Studio and in the code to produce a dll from the code instead of a lib? The library is huge so writing a wrapper is not an option. I have the code so I should be able to make it build a dll. I am not a very experienced C++ dev but I am in C# and visual studio. Thanks

    I finished to develop an XNA game, then I created the Monogame project, and tested it on my device. Now I made some other pages such as an "about" page. How can I go to that page considering I have a Monogame project and just an XNA code? In particular inside my game I made a Main Menu where you can click the "about" button and know if someone has clicked: how can I link that event to the "go to about.xaml" function?     I do not really understand how Google Code handles file versioning. I am building a jQuery plugin that anyone can access. Like so: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://jquery-old-browser-warning.googlecode.com/files/jquery.browser-warning.js"></script> This script accesses other files on the same project (via ajax). The problem is, that when I upload a new file, it just seems like there aren't any changed to it. Google recommends that new files should have new names. But then I would have to change the filenames that the script loads. But then I would have to change the script file as well, and that would break everybodys implementation (with the script-tag above) Is there a way to force a file to change when uploading with the same filename? PS: If I go directly to the project page's file list. Then I do get the file with the updated content. But as I said, not when getting it through ajax.

  • How do I reload a Roo project without clearing the database?

    I've been learning how to build projects using Roo and am making good progress. I have the nucleus of a project which correctly displays my defined entities and allows me to create, edit, and delete the representative objects. I am using mysql at the database and I see that objects entered using the UI correctly appear in the mysql database. Per the Roo instructions, I am starting the webapp using "mvn tomcat:run". Unfortunately, I've discovered that whenever I restart Tomcat using Maven, it clears all of the existing objects out of the database. I'm left with empty tables. It seems to do this as the final step just prior to Tomcat stating that the server has started. I know this is just me being a n00b, but searches haven't been very helpful, none of the project's XML files seem relevant,

  • Can NTFS-Search(An OSS project) scan any file on NTFS volume?

    I want to apply NTFS-Search to our project. Our project have to find the files which we specified.(fast and exactly!) But I'm not sure the program(NTFS-Search) works well. What if the file specified is system file? What if the file is being opened by a process with NO_READ_SHARE_MODE? Do you think NTFS-Search can find any files? I don't know about NTFS filesystem well. So I can't find the answer myself. Is there anyone who knows that? I tried to find their email address, but I couldn't find. Thanks in advance.

  • My php project work properly on local server but does not work properly when I put it online on the web server, WHY?

    I'm working on a php project.. And I started building the admin login system and have already finished it and it works properly on my machine (local server) where I'm developing the project.. But when I moved it to a (web server) it didn't work properly as it was working on (local server). the problem that showed up is that when the admin get authentication to log in to the admin area, once he clicks any link in the page or even he reloads the page that page disappear and the login page appear again which mean the admin forced to log out even he didn't.

I see how to add a target, but I'm not sure how to set it up to run like the "Command Line Tool" project template does. I tried adding a new "Shell Tool" target, but I don't know how to make it run like one. What build settings do I have to add to that target? What files (main.m?) do I need to start it up?

  • Is it possible to exclude folders from a web application project in vs 2010?

    I had previously asked this question. At the time I was working with VS 2008. To restate the question. I have a web application that generates 1000's of small xml files in a certain directory. I would like to exclude this directory from the web application project in visual studio 2010. With vs 2008 it was not possible. Has anything changed? Besides the general wait for VS to iterate through this directory and add an item in the solution explorer for each file, it also strains my system resources, so I would like to exclude it from the project, but the dir and files need to physically exist on disk, because they are part of the application. Are the algorithms to be used for this project likely to be very resource-consuming? Would it make any difference (in terms of speed) if I choose to go with Java rather than C++?     The project is hosted on a tfs server and I need to access the build number which I assume is automatically generated when ever you build a project. I need to retrieve that build number and display it on the web pages so that QAs and testing people know exactly which build they are working on. I found how to create customize build numbers in the following link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa395241(v=vs.100).aspx but it dose not solve my problem as I do not have access to the build definition file. I am looking for some kind of post deployment task which can access the build number or may be generate one and probably write it down to a file, from where I can read it. I don't know if that makes any sense as this is my first time working on .Net
